I recently stayed at Ayres. It is a nice apart-hotel setup very similar to ArtSuites, main difference is that it has a lobby/reception staffed entrance.
It is located on Uriburu just off of Vincente Lopez. The rooms are large studios with full dining area seating for four and a nice kitchen area. There are many photos and information on their website.
I booked it through ArgentiaGo and obtained a US$76 rate. Phone calls are 20cents/minute local and 50cents/min cellular. There is free internet in the rooms (ethernet network), and there might be wireless in the lobby (can't confirm that). My VOIP didn't work here, I couldn't obtain a DNS Suffix (is that the issue?) but internet worked fine.
The only issues keeping me giving Ayres a 100% endorsement (as hotels go... I still prefer apartments) is that it was very noisy. It is located across from a parking garage, and I was there only a Saturday night so that was bad. And in the early AM (6a?) there was garbage pick up and the loud noises of bottles being collected/crashing.
Maybe a higher room (I was on 4) and certainly one in the back (x01's and x02's are in the front, as for a x03 or x04 room) might make all the difference.
I guess I recommend the place given you make sure you are in a high x03 or x04 room.
