Hey WS: "Medellin is a very popular place on CH these days. I wonder if you had anything to do with it." This was just posted in your trip report. Better watch out--you are going to become a victim of your own sucess. Or more appropriately Medillin will be. And NO--I did NOT just book my tickets to MDE for May 24 '06, and if I had, you would have had NOTHING to do with the decision. Just keep writing your exaggerated bullshit, and don't forget to include some of those ugly pics. Preferably with contact info.

Reporting from SJO, gringo gulch today.

I went to some of the most popular P4P places in town today, Zona Blue, New Fantasy, and Blue Marlin.

IMO for Latin America, SJO is fourth tier when comparing to Brasil, Colombia, and Argentina. Most of the hottest looking chicas at BM are from Colombia.

And tonite making the rounds, I did see some very pretty non-P4P Ticas, but you'll find more and better looking chicas at the above three countries.

And sex & massage wise, the ZB and NF chicas do massage you better than the Terma garotas of Brasil. But SEX WISE, even the average Terma garota puts the SJO chicas to shame!

I have just read the recent postings and would like to make a comparison to food. Some people like beef, or pork, or fish. Some people like liver or pig's feet. Some people even like chitterlings or brains! It's all a matter of taste.

Maverick, RG is right, why the verbal drive-by? Especially a missive that wholly ignores and distort's WS's true contributions to this board. Irony is, once you get to MDE, you'll better appreciate the contributions of guys on this and other sites that took the time to write something useful.

Oh boy. I only hope WS got my point. Carry on, gentlemen. And WS- for the record (just in case you can't figure it out)- I truly appreciate the honest, no BS assessments you've made. It was enough to lure me away from my Rio addiction and give a new place a try. Problem is I suspect I'm not the only one.

Maverick, anything but straight-forward posts and sexual innuendo are usually misinterpreted on internet forums like this one. Subtley, sarcasm, and the like often fail. Usually it's because the writer or reader is doing their business too quickly, or there are enough examples of the clueless who often do have bizarre, ignorant, or otherwise odd attitudes.

For the record, I got what you meant. Hope my zombie post isn't taken literally...

Wallstreet is a great contributor to this site and I also consider him a friend. He has contributed so much to this site and he takes his time to inform rest of us. It was not that long ago when Medellin was considered a dangerous Colombian city on this board. There was not that much information on Medellin and most people knew Medellin because of Medellin drug cartels. I remember Wallstreet was making his plans to visit Cali back in 2004 but changed his plan to visit Medellin instead. He gathered so much useful information which he could have kept to himself or shared with his trusted circle of friends but he took the time to write about his experience and share his experience with rest of us. I guess that is one of the main reasons why every other CH member is heading to Medellin these days. It really bothers me to see people who really contribute to this site are either called name or worse made fun of. Things like that and others can really make a contributor to just become another visitor like me. I started contributing to this site and then I was ratted out by someone on this board and had to get a new identity to be safe and not to be identified in a Colombian city I visited the most. My point is if people are discouraged, made fun of or if their safety is compromised by the people who have nothing or little to contribute then this board will become another place with no useful information.

In some parts of the south(and maybe other places too) pork brains are cooked with scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Those thinking CR is tier 1 just don't know shit about too many places (e.g. Rio, Colombia, SEA, etc.).

Broman, I also tend to agree w/you about the ambiguity of sarcasm on a site; I think sarcasm works best when you can observe the speaker, i.e. tone voice, context, facial expression, etc. The context is also key, as this thread unfortunately, holds a lot of pesonal spats.

Phd, as you have noticed the Colombian regulars here are fairly tightnit and I've always appreciated the spirit and energy of Colombiaphiles here in kicking out some useful info. I think others who want to explore Colombia will be frustrated if you try, like I have, searching for useful info on other sites, you'd be amazed at how some of the huge egos there are, full of personal attacks, I was also amazed at how misinformed a lot of those same guys were, a couple of guys even using deliberate scare tactics to discourage visits.

Guys - I didn't get it the first time I read it, but Maverick was being HIGHLY complimentary - and using sarcasm which I enjoy. I appreciate you coming to my defense, really, but read his last line where he says he hopes I continue to post ugly pictures with contact info - meaning he wants to do the girls I post. No higher compliment then that!

I've been on this board for a while and rarely argue with people. It's soooooo stupid that I let myself get entangled with a non-contributor, especially right now. Things have never been better for me - I'm ready to make a huge announcement and I have no time or energy to waste on negativity.

my analogy about food and places can be taken in many different ways. One example: Some people like girls with big breasts. They don't even have to be real or the girl could be as fat as a hog(or a hippo). Speaking of which, some people like fat chicks. For those that like fat chicks, Colombia is not a good mongering destination. I haven't seen that many there that were as fat as a hog and none as fat as a hippo. I can't really say about Brazil as I have only been there once.
