It's a very safe non-pro area. Go there and don't forget to close your mouth ;-)

By Sniper on Monday, March 27, 2006 - 10:30 am:  Edit

Girls can be picked up in this area with no problem. I met a lot of girl's gazes while eating at the restaurants here.

Just make sure only to approach if there are no guys sitting with them. Even one guy is too many.

Non-pros are easy in Medellin if you give them a little attention and don't mind working it for a few days.

By Tomtom33 on Monday, March 27, 2006 - 04:07 pm:  Edit

You can pick them up but you can't pay them for short time.

Any guy(s) with them will let you know if it is alright for you to join them and/or move in.

By Sniper on Monday, March 27, 2006 - 06:13 pm:  Edit

Right, no P4P there. I'm not sure about the guy thing, I never approached if there was a guy sitting with them.

I may be paranoid but I've seen total dorks that end up being a drug dealer.

Maybe overly cautious on my part.

I met a girl at a restaurant. She was sitting at a table with three guys and one other girl. She was just so stunning, and she kept smiling at me. After I managed to stammer out a few words, the guys invited me to join them. We wound up partying at my apartment. I was weak in the knees all night.

I never could figure out how to attach images into CH. If someone can tell me how, I will post her photo. I have it resized to 56 KB, 142x242.

Tom,

I've always had trouble attaching images. It's not all that intuitive. I get it to work eventually, but then I forget how to do it several weeks later.

If you email them to photos@clubhombre.com, they'll attach them for you.

By Tomtom33 on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 - 04:32 pm:  Edit

Thanks, WS. I did exactly that.

Wonder why CH cannot make it any easier to attch photos?

By Wallstreet on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 - 06:11 pm:  Edit

In all fairness to CH, it's the attachment program. It seems to be a pretty standard program as I've seen it on many other websites - and I always run into the same problem.

By Admin on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 - 12:37 am:  Edit

"Smiling Stunner" integrated into post above.

Wallstreet is correct. The attachment portion of the Discus message board software is not configurable and cannot be customized without a high risk of breaking it completely.

Instructions for resizing are provided by following the link above the "Add a Message" textbox that says "Click here for additional help". There are also detailed instructions on posting images by following the "How to post a photo" link on that page.

Another good idea is to email us or submit a support request with a copy of the message that you tried to post an image with. The most common error is a simple typo, usually an extra space where there shouldn't be one. We can easily point this out or otherwise identify the error then, we just first need to see the original attempt to do so.

The Triata Restaurant (sp?) at Park LLeras. Its the place where the hit went down. The hit seemed to make the restaurant even more popular, good luck getting a seat.

I was with a couple of guys there one night when there was a party of about 25 absolutely stunning women, all 9's and 10's.

They were giving us the eye (I'd like to think so anyway!). After about 1/2 hour their dates came in. 6 pretty tough looking guys. I guess mob guys like eating there, though, they don't seem to like the seats near the sidewalk.

One thing you must remember in Parque Llera at night. Watch what you say at the restaurants since allot of the Colombianos present speak English. Dont think you can talk about a woman nearby and assume she does not understand you. Remember Parque lleras is 2 to 3 times more expensive then regular restaurants in Medellin. The colombianos that go there are professionals etc. Enjoy the Eye Candy it can be incredible at night, if it is raining hard pass on parque Lleras on one will be there. If you have a date though that could be a good thing

MM-Agree with you that some PL restaurants are more expensive than other places in MDE but I can assure you, the Archies Pizza in PL cost the same as Archies in other places; San Carbon menu is the same price as San Carbons anywhere in MDE; Mondongos menu has the same prices etc.

The one of a kind places like Triada can look expensive but I don't think they are 2-3 times moreso unless you are comparing them to small mom and pop places that serve tipical platos for $5-6K. Different kinds of places all together.

Hard to beat La Grappas daily lunch special that includes soup, salad, main course and glass of wine or beverage of your choice for 10,000 pesos; or, LeBon daily lunch special that is about the same. Wednesday at Orleans there is a Mexican lunch special that is always crowded.

Now, in PL, there are many places with very reasonable food. La Habanitas is a good example. I usually get the half portion of baby beef for 14K. I challenge you to find that anywhere for 2-3 times less. If you shop the specials at ThaiCo or Recova, El Furno etc. you can find some amazing prices for food.

If it is drinking you want and don't want to pay the restaurant prices, go to the barrio bars across from Ave Marias. You can get cold beer for 2K or a 16 oz draft for the same price.(it is also a good place to hang out to find the #1 and 2 types you mentioned in another thread). All right there in PL. Not 2-3 times the price of other MDE restaurants.

Now, you can go to Triada and other places, order appetizers, wine, drinks, main course and get set back pretty well.....no doubt about it! But you do not have to spend a fortune to eat and drink in PL. You just need to know where to go!

I'll go out on a limb here and say IMHO, food is pricey almost everywhere in MDE (except the small mom and pop places) Even in grocery stores, there are no great super buys and many things are more expensive than in the US (try buying nuts, cashews, cookies, candy, cheese, sauces, condiments etc) Now you can say sometimes 2-3 times the cost of the US! IE: 8oz package of cashews for $7.00! Small bottle of olive oil for $10.00, small jar of Jif Peanut butter for $7.00.

Don't come to MDE thinking you are going to save money on food. Just enjoy your stay!

I don't really look at grocery prices. My guess is that, if you buy local stuff especially fruits and veggies, you can get deals. We always stop at road-side food vendors to stock up when returning to Medellin from a day in the country. The deals there are great. I paid 10K for a 40-pound bag of produce(potatoes, onions, peppers, etc.).

And I love the menú del dias at mom and pops for 4-5K including beverage.

But I don't mind paying 50K for lunch at Palmitas, either. The view of the city from there is spectacular.

By Sandman on Saturday, February 09, 2008 - 01:48 pm:  Edit

You are right on TT. I ejnoy going to Mayorista occasionally and packing it in from the farmers market. You can buy garbage bags full of stuff really cheap. The roadside stands are a great place to buy fruits and veggies. In El Centro at the fruit and veggie market across from Botero are some great buys as well.

The mom and pops are hard to beat for a good meal really cheap. Cuba Nut loves to eat at the little place right outside of New Life. Good lay and a good meal, what a deal!

This place, IMO, is one of the best places to look at/for women on earth. The food is great, the eye candy is amazing. It's a great place to just walk around. It reminds me of a South American Greenwich Village.

By Tomtom33 on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 - 08:23 am:  Edit

I would correct that to say at. The Lleras ricas don't need your money. I can look at, and be ignored by, hot young girls in the US.

By Sobe9ball on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 - 09:26 am:  Edit

I totally agree with TOM, P.L.is like walking around a cheap version of South Beach Ocean Drive or Lincoln Rd. Filled with wannabees and posers. This is what the Paisas consider the creme de la creme to see or be seen and thats why I leave South Beach to get away from. These bitches dont need our cheap dollars, have 3 or 4 novios and will charge you just to look at them all with a grin like "my shit dont stink" attitude. All while walking around with their CENTRO, COUNTERFEIT ED HARDY T'shirts and Hat's! lol Enough already. I prefer the local more humble areas.

By Sniper on Friday, May 16, 2008 - 09:51 am:  Edit

Sobe, that is because there are too many gringos in PL. Every mongerer goes there as part of their trip. Its starting to be like MP in Rio.

Venture out, there is a lot better than PL and much cheaper!

By Sobe9ball on Friday, May 16, 2008 - 11:15 am:  Edit

P.L. is for rookies Sniper lol, I go to the local areas where I don't see ANY gringos, My type of local. AND you can find some real gems there.. Just as hot and un spoiled yet. Just need a tweeking and simple makeover and you got yourself one hot paisa.

By JIMMYDR on Tuesday, June 03, 2008 - 05:47 pm:  Edit

We usually go there 2-4 times a trip. There are well over 20 places to eat at and look at all the Paisas walk by.

Hooters

By Riotime on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 - 06:13 am:  Edit

Went there last night. Went to the Timeout bar across from hooters. It was a nice sportsbar with a lot of tv's. The had the lakers clippers game on big screen. There was wifi in the bar and wifi in the park. It was nice because I could use my freetranslation.com on my iPhone.
It was not bad for a Tuesday.
The hooters was pretty crowded and they played good music.

They did include the tip at both places we went so check your bill.

Sad to see Medellin no longer a big part of this board. I remember posting a lot of information and I know that Medellin is still widely visited.

I think Tinder has killed the need to look for great places to go. It's just easy to pick a prepago on the app and get on with it.

Well new info on a great place to go for fun. I have not seen it on Club Hombre.

There is a bar in Parque Lleras called GUSTOS that is a definite place to check out.

Pulled two girls at 300KCOP ($100) for two hours. Tons of lookers.

I see Mangos is still open but I'm not sure I'll have the chance to get out there.

By Sniper on Monday, January 14, 2019 - 12:44 pm:  Edit

Overall I think Medellin has stepped down a notch since I've been here. The girls only do CBJ and they seem to be acclimated to the Gringo here. Like all good things, they can be over-fished and I think that is what has happened here.

Disappointing. Unlike all the times I speculated about retirement, I actually am now basically retired!

Just wish the mongering scene was still in full swing. If it is, it certainly isn't on this board unless you are going to TJ or go to BKK/Pattaya
