For former mongers and those who are just looking to grab a non-pro Colombian lady who, according to all reports, make some of the worlds best long term partners, Medellin has a few dating services listed. The biggest is Colombian Sweethearts, who have a bed and breakfast service located in the Poblado area. Services include purchase of email and addresses from a list of close to 1000 local ladies. A review of the photo's on this site are somewhat less than what I expected to find in terms of quality from the city of the worlds most beautiful women. Lots of cuties but many more very ordinary looking girls, especially in the 30 yr age range, who, IMHO, would not warrant a 13 hour trip to meet in person. The B&B prices range from $79 to $99 with an added $20 per night for lady introductions. No personal experience with this organization but would welcome comments.

The second introduction service is Colombian Love Connection, run by Aussie Greg and Robert from the Medellin Apartment group. They run this service separate from their apartment rental but work the introduction service in with a stay at their facility. They also offer the email and address purchase service but more expensive than Col Sweethearts. On a whim, I actually spent money to put my profile into their "database" to see what happens and what interest it might bring. Nada! An attempt to get answers from AG, Robert, and secretary Angela to questions such as: who sees the posting, are the girls able to write the first email, before I purchase addresses how can I tell who in their posting is available; was met with silence. In general requests for information from this organization is terrible with short curt answers, no answers, and an impression that money and not service is top priority. Their list of ladies is smaler but considerably more attractive than CLC so I wonder how they are able to recruit this quality or if this group of ladies is genuine and actually available. Once again, any other personal feedback would be appreciated.

My intention to travel to Medellin to meet interested non pros looking for relationships needs a bit more investigation before it happens. Maybe just a trip to monger with some of the most lovely Latin ladies would be a better option.

Eleagle1, a couple of questions, do you speak Spanish, how old are you?

The girls on the dating sites are just average at best I think, but if you have some front, look reasonably presentable and are not to old, you can meet better looking girls in the malls, the street etc.

That is most likely true. I do think that the ladies I've seen on photo's submitted by CH visitors and some of the highest quality ladies on the dating services are extremely attractive. I do not speak Spanish however and will do my best to try to have a basic understanding before I go over. I've visited Rio but never MDE and plan to go down for a few weeks over Xmas. I'm in my early 50's but hanging in there pretty well.

I realize that Americans and the security they bring are a big attraction and advantage when on the hunt. What has been your general impression of the availability and quality ladies in MDE?

Eleagle1, there are a great deal of available ladies in Medellin, as there is in Colombia as a whole, I think some other Cities are easier to pick up girls than in Medellin, but it is still pretty dam easy.

Yes. Go down country and monger your heart out. When your seed is spent, visit many restaurants, shopping malls/stores, small local bars and clubs, beaches, etc. The more time you spend outside of your hotel room, the better your chances are getting hooked-up with a non-pro. Look for non-pros when you are not horny is key. I think women can sense when we are on the prowl. When our seed is spent and we are simply recharging our batteries, women sense we are non-threatening, therefore, more approachable.

I have a couple non-pros on the line seeking my attention (one is an absolutely gorgeous 8+ barmaid/waitress and the other a solid 6 medical doctor). I innocently found them while in Panama mongering.

I wasn't really looking for them. But I met both while out dining (different restaurants different times). One was my waitress and the other was having dinner with her friends and an innocent conversation brought me into the group discussion and in contact with the female doctor. Interesting note...both women are 31-years-old.

Forget internet dating (matchmaking), mail order brides, etc. Spend your money and time being there. Make friends and contacts. Stay in touch with your contacts, then return again. If you are friendly and outgoing, you will meet women.

I went to Colombian Sweethearts and stayed at the agency for about a week. The women in Medellin were a LOT better looking on average than what I had via the agency. I met about 20 girls. Abot 3-5 were kind of interesting. One was a real stunner- shoulda been a model. But, that's one in 20. I dunno. If you really don't want to go through the time and energy of the chase, an agency like this might be for you.

Allegedly, my friends who had gone the agency route about 2 months previously told me that the women on the first trip were on average a lot better than the second trip with me. I suspect the quality of the girls varies. You should prolly keep up with the web site if you are so interested.

Two of my friends from the agency later stayed at the Mansion. The owners of the Mansion hate Steve, the owner of Sweethearts, and vice versa. I never had a problem with any of the owners and neither did any of my friends. Aussie Greg tries to give a lot of in depth and helpful input on any chick you run by him. Love Connection and the Mansion have a relationship although they are separately owned.

The main reason I never really went anywhere with Sweethearts is because I wasn't ready for marriage. Figured that out after I got down there. But, if you are really serious about it, you CAN find a chick with Sweethearts. She may or may not be ultra hot and you have to assess how much she just might want to get a green card and/or the 'good life.' Then, decide if it's worth it or not.

Allegedly, there are some rumours that the Love Connection girls are just a lot of whores. That may be true for some but likely not true for all. If you look at their websites though, they are a lot better looking than Sweethearts on average, however.

BTW, just a side story. My friend was really interested in this one blonde from Sweethearts. She was 30yo and was holding up extremely well. Looked extremely good for her age. Had maybe ~5lbs more than needed on her butt but with a gorgeous face and good height that was her only superficial flaw. So, he takes her dancing at Mango's. Anyone who's been to Medellin knows this place. As the night progressed, she starts dancing with this drunk Colombian guy too- w/o my friend's permission. Needless to say, my friend got massively pissed. Decided not to pursue anything after that and was glad she showed her true colors so early. She called him a lot trying to figure out why he was no longer interested. Maybe some of you guys would have let this type of behavior go, but I feel my friend made the right decision. If a chick can't shower you with undivided attention for ONE night, how can you really trust her for anything more serious?

But, my real point was that how can you really know about any of these foreign chicks for a real relationship? My friend and I live in L.A. We can possibly go to Colombia 3-4 x a year. Except for those of you on the East Coast it's not much more accessible for Americans. How much can you really know someone in that limited amount of time? Yeah, yeah American chicks have their own issues and what not, but I'm just pointing out the obvious limitations of a long term serious relationship like this that at least need to be considered if anyone is even considering an agency.

I've never tried an agency, mainly because I personally think it's relatively easier than other places to pickup non-pros in Colombia. IMO, Cali was the best for that. It helps if you can dance (which I can't) and speak Spanish, which seems to improve directly in proportion to the beauty of the gal.

Every Colombian gal I've met loved music, the Latin Variety, so you can have an engaging common interest right off the bat.

I have dated a few and you can break them down into subgroups actually.

Group 1 you have the very poor girls. Their parents cant afford to send them to the university and they are working at very basic jobs if they can find them like supermarkets etc. Some of these are very beautiful and most open to dating an American since they rarely visit Poblado where Americans hang out and usually have never left Medellin. They will be fascinated with your experience, and everything about you. These are the easiest to meet and get close to fast.
Negatives is that most likely they will ask you to help them with things like rent, and everyday living expenses eventually when you are their boyfriend. They just have no money and you are the only one they can turn to. If you love them it will not matter.

2nd group is my favorite. Middle Class. These girls attend university. Their parents have cars and can afford to pay their school, their clothing, cell phone, possibly a computer at home. They will not ask you for help with living expenses. They will of course want a commitment at some point of some sort as does group number 1. Cities include Envigado, Belen

Third Group- this is the group I stay away from. They are girls that live in Poblado. They often can speak English, wear designer clothes, sometimes own a car or drive their parents car. They also may have visited the states which is a bad sign. They are not easily impressed by gringos. Especially if you are older and not attractive. They will blow you off not as badly as an American Woman would but you will notice a complete difference between group 1 and group 3.
They can often be found in Parque lleras buying their own drinks and sometimes 3 to 10 of them together at one time. Often they are very hot since they work out, eat right and spend lots of money on their clothes, hair, nails etc.
Only wasted time on them if you like a challenge and have some game. If they respond to you easily
and you are not all that be warned they may be
in group 4 which you may have guessed is a prostitute or prepago as we call them here in Medellin and that is another topic.
