Those of you who have read my reports know that since I first came to Medellin, it has taken a firm hold of me. And it hasn’t let go.
I met a girl on my very first trip to Medellin. Lets call her A. I saw her repeatedly over the next few months, even met her mother in Cartagena. Things were progressing a little too quickly for my taste and at my instigation we went our separate ways in January.
I knew the next day I had made a mistake. I blew it. And yet I still walked away.
But that didn’t stop me from going back to Medellin very often. It’s such a great city with incredible restaurants, perfect weather, fun nightlife and of course, the women. I took courses in Spanish and found that helped me get to the next level with the intelligent women of Medellin. My confidence grew and I was enjoying the company of a wide variety of women – from street girls to non-pros I met at the mall.
And then it happened.
In August I got an email from A. Wanted to know how I was, if I was still going to Colombia. She’s now a salesperson for a company that manufactures printing presses. We picked up right where we left off. I told her I’d meet her in Medellin in two weeks. She was living in Bogota now and took the bus to meet me. It was just like old times.
But this time I wasn’t going to let her get away. We’re engaged and will be married in Medellin over Thanksgiving. Small civil ceremony with family and a few friends. Then I’ll file for the visa and she should be with me in New York sometime next year.
In the meantime I rented a nice apartment in Medellin and will be going down about once a month. I can’t remember ever being this happy.
What a cliché, but, it’s an ending and a beginning. I’ve had great fun screwing my way around the globe. Met great girls, great guys, and overall had a great time. I will always cherish those wonderful memories.
It’s all about timing. This is the right time for me. Jumping on a plane at every available opportunity is still exciting, but a little more tiring. It's time to fill the void that occurs after the trips. I’m lucky enough to have found the right person to fill that void.
And that’s the purpose of this “report” If it can happen for me, it can happen for anyone. It takes time and effort. And communication is key. You must have one language in common, whether it is yours or hers. It’s so easy for people to misunderstand you when you’re speaking the same language, imagine what happens when you can’t communicate. You’ll have no chance.
This board has been instrumental in my journey. For this I’ll always be thankful. I will continue to post about Medellin and will also document the visa process as I know guys are interested in how that works.
Guys – just keep your eye on the prize, whatever it is. It can be attained.

Wallstreet: I now know how Darth Vader felt when the Death Star finally exploded. We have lost one great monger to the other side. I always tell guys, "you can love em, just don't fall in love with them." This is why. They can capture your heart. In your case, she obviously did. Congratulations, my friend.
I looked back on your trip reports...and I remember you saying why you preferred to do working girls instead of real girls. When it was over, you could walk away with no strings attached. Obviously, that worked really well for you every time....except for one. This one time the strings were not so easily broken. This one got to ya. She must be one hell of a woman. No question she is drop dead gorgeous. I hope her heart is equally impressive.
Wallstreet is the guy that turned me on to Medellin. I actually got to meet him for lunch one day...and he is a fine upstanding guy. He writes great trip reports. I have a feeling his greatest one is just getting started.
Best of luck, mi amigo. May the trip reports continue!

Wallstreet,
As I said before, 1000s of congratulations and I am really glad you found something you will be happy with. I remember you and I started Colombian adventure about the same time and how you were planning to come to Cali but decided to go Medellin instead. I also remember I was way big into non-pro girls in Cali and you mentioned it was not your style and as Radioman mentioned above "why you preferred to do working girls instead of real girls. When it was over, you could walk away with no strings attached". How things change in life and espacially in Colombia. I am really happy for you and I want to thank you for all the great reports, photos, and information you have shared with the board. Hopeully now your first preference would be "A" and this board would be distance 106th.
Take care Wallstreet and good luck with this new chapter in your life.

Wallstreet,
I am still forever grateful to you for taking some time out of your day to show me around NYC on my short 4-hour layover there. And I still look back very fondly on some of the times and adventures we had in Bangkok. Those were good times and hold (without sounding too corny) a pretty special place within my memories.
You are a terrific guy and deserve all the happiness in the world. You are truly one of the "good, actually GREAT guys" of CH. Please accept my sincerest congratulations. I wish you and your future misses the best.

Wow.
Very interesting to watch your trajectory from a newbie dipping his toe in the pool of whoring, to a veteran of various far flung locales, to someone who's now come full circle and settling down--I bet you never thought this journey would lead you here!
I have enjoyed reading all your informative reports and thoughtful comments over the past few years. Your first ever trip report on Bangkok was one of the best ever posted on this board IMHO, and was one of the myriad factors that started pushing me towards my first trip to Thailand.
Let us know how things work out, will you?
Chok dee and suerte,
Zuperfly

Wallstreet, best of luck to you. She must be an incredible woman, and you deserve no less. How lucky you are!
Thanks for the reports and the pictures, I hope we still keep in touch through the board or dinners when (if) you get out here to LA.

I don't usually post here but I can't help myself with this one. WS, you live in NYC correct? Then you know there's a HUGE Colombian population in Queens. I don't mean to second-guess or diss you, but I personally would be worried about that, and I'm half "latino" myself! The americanized colombianas in Queens can be a pretty hot package already, so I can definitely see myself falling for a paisa straight from the source should I ever travel to Colombia.
I'm sure you know exactly what you could be getting into so no long lecture here. Keep your eyes open and hope it all works out! ![]()

Well, at least I was able to monger with you before you retired and can honestly say that you are a pleasure to hang out with and she is a lucky girl. i do not know if columbia needs a visa to the u.s. or not, but if one is not needed, i suggest you bring her here and marry in the u.s. much easier with ins......
and welcome to the paperwork jungle....you do not need a lawyer, all the paperwork is easy....

Best of Luck Wallstreet!!!!!! I feel you MAN, I also got stuck in Medellin, and will keep going back. CONGRATS!!!!!!!

Now I'm afraid to visit Colombia. Tales of kidnappings, robberies, insurgency and random violence do not deter me but this..... Seeing such a great guy, struck down in his prime, really sends a chill down my spine. Perhaps Medellin is much more dangerous than I suspected. I must be careful.
Best wishes to you and the misses. I suppose if there is anyone I would think was well grounded enough to make such a decision rationally I'd trust your judgement. I'm sure you picked a good one. I assume the hombres are not well behaved enough to be invited to the reception. Even if we PROMISE not to molest the bridesmaids?
I will echo what others have said. I have seen a number of immigrants bring in spouses from the old country and they universally agree that it is somewhat easier and quicker to get an fiance visa and marry her over here than it is to get a spousal visa and bring her in after you married her there.

Guys, thanks very much for the good wishes. They really are appreciated.
Radioman: I fooled around and fell in love (Elvin Bishop if memory serves). I wasn’t looking for it, and in fact backed away from it in January, but it feels right and I’m going with it. I had a good run there for a while – but there’s just something about this girl. She’s a real go-getter, very ambitious and I think she’ll do well in NY. Plus I can’t stop thinking about her, and that hasn’t happened to me since Farrah Fawcett-Majors in the mid-70s.
You can count on me to chronicle the process of bringing her over and getting her settled in – you’ll be meeting her in no time.
RG: Thanks – sorry things didn’t turn out 100% for you.
Merl: I’d be upset if we didn’t se each other every so often and I’d be even more upset if you came to Medellin and didn’t use my extra bedroom! A is looking forward to meeting you soon.
KJ: Very nice to meet you and A kept saying what a nice guy you were. Very enjoyable night at Mango’s!
PhD: Thanks so much. It’s funny how things work out. I was all set to go to Cali, then a couple of trip reports came out and it made me want to blaze a new trail. And I was the biggest proponent for P4P girls as I felt that would insulate the heart – plus when you go out with non-pros it’s a lot more work for less reward (at least in the beginning anyway).
But life is funny, and sometimes the best laid plans get scrapped and you follow what feels right. And this feels very right.
Xen: It was my pleasure showing you around NYC – especially since you’re such a nice guy who I’ve enjoyed meeting on a couple of continents. I look back fondly on our Bangkok Cozy adventure – a place I’d have never gone alone. Great times, great memories!
Zuperfly: That I’ve come full circle has not been lost on me. I believe every step is taken for a reason and I only made it to Medellin and my present situation because I got on that first flight to Bangkok. I certainly will let you know how things progress and should anyone find themselves in a similar situation (those Colombianas are very persuasive) they can count on me as a resource to help make the transition.
Hunterman: Thanks very much. I really enjoyed meeting you in LA and look forward to seeing you again out there (if I can catch you in between trips!)
Solid808: Thanks very much!
Torpedo: I’m very much aware of the Colombian community in Jackson Heights. And I know the general consensus would be to stop her from becoming Americanized for as long as possible. And that could be accomplished by locking her in a closet while I’m out and putting a Lo-Jack on her. But that’s not my style. I have my own set of friends and I think she should have her own set of friends too. I met a couple of girls in Colombia who were knockouts and would have liked nothing more than to come back with me and be a housewife and cater to my every whim 24/7. But I don’t want that. I want a partner – someone who can challenge me intellectually and will stand their own ground, albeit respectfully.
In the end, I don’t NOT do something because it MIGHT turn out bad. I do what feels right, put in my best effort and hope for the best. In the end, that’s all you can do.
Blazers: I’d be upset if you were in NY and didn’t give me a call. Always a pleasure hangings out with you and I look forward to doing so in the future, on either coast.
Ibaski: Thanks!
Diversity: Thanks. It’s pretty much impossible for a young Colombiana to get a visitor’s visa to the US. And whether you apply for the Fiance visa to marry in the States or petition the INS after getting married like I am, it’s pretty much a sure thing – it just might take a while. But I’ve gone over all the paperwork and found a great website that’s very helpful: www.visajourney.com
And it was her idea to marry in Colombia – something I’m not at all opposed to.
Bluedragon: Thanks! Medellin is quite the city, isn’t it?
IAS: Thanks – and yes Medellin is VERY dangerous in that it’s the city that ended my hobbying career – something that was never in jeopardy in Asia.
As far as the visa situation, things have very recently changed for the K-3 visa (Spousal Visa). When you file a K-3, as part of the process you are filling out an I-130, which can be used to obtain an IR1 (Immediate Relative) Visa – which is fairly new. This visa was created because of the backlog with K-1 (Fiance) and K-3 (Spousal) Visas but only those who file a K-3 are eligible to pursue it as a Fiance is not an immediate relative.
Bottom line with the K-3 you are petitioning two different offices as opposed to the K-1. It’s a couple of extra bucks in fees, but if one office is slow, hopefully the other isn’t and when one visa comes through, you just abandon the other one.
Besides:
1. She wanted to get married in Colombia and
2. I really don’t want her over here until after football season ends. I do have my priorities straight.

WS,
As I conveyed off-line-- best of luck my good friend-- I'll miss lifting skirts around the globe with u for sure!@
"If it can happen for me, it can happen for anyone. It takes time and effort. And communication is key. You must have one language in common, whether it is yours or hers. It's so easy for people to misunderstand you when you're speaking the same language, imagine what happens when you can't communicate. You'll have no chance"
comment: I know your brimming with emotion and your thoughts are clouded
, BUT-- your assumption is that people monger to find a long term relation and/or a serious relationship. I, and assume many of the folks, monger for the love of adventure/travel, and having plenty of relatively cheap sex with hot young girls. One of these days you'll come back to my dark side and I'll see you in BKK, either in this life or next
For now, I sincerely wish you and her the very best.
-DM
p.s. I'm still waiting for the bachelor party invite-- I have an idea *grin*

DM – Actually my assumption wasn’t that people monger to find a long-term or serious relationship. My comment was really geared for guys who go to Colombia, as many Hombres mix and match non-pros with pros when visiting there. A lot of guys set up date on amigos.com for lunch and then hit casas afterwards. Something that’s not done (to my knowledge) in Asia, certainly not on the level it’s done in Colombia. Sorry I didn’t make that clear.
I love BKK – maybe I’ll honeymoon there!
And I’m open to suggestions on a bachelor party – don’t have anything cooking on that front.
Sandman – thanks – hope to see again at some point!
Blissman – thanks – I appreciate the kind wishes!
Sugadaddy – I agree – MDE is a great city. I could see retiring there too.
Copabrasil1- Thank you very much – you’re a class guy!
Tim3rexes-Thank you. Wow – you, me and a few other guys all in the same boat. Must be something in the water. I’ll be happy to post on the visa process. Happy to help.
Val- Thanks, I really appreciate it.

" love BKK – maybe I’ll honeymoon there!"
blasphemy!!!!
"And I’m open to suggestions on a bachelor party – don’t have anything cooking on that front."
Option 1) "doin it right"
I was thinking of the suite at JW and engaging the entire Eden staff (for the night of course). U can use yur imagination on how the time will be spent!
Option 2) "Fun, but what am I doin??"
head up to montreal and do a little in-town barhop and taunting by montreal's finest. Afterhours room party with plenty of service delivered to the front door. Booze and clothing optional.

Bachelor Party ?? hmmm -
I wonder if Marc at Eden still rents out his whole staff and building by the hour. Maybe not the hottest girls in BKK but as a group you cannot match their skills . His hourly rates used to include an open bar and his gorgeous bartender- I still want a piece of her .

what kind of bachelor party can be thrown for a guy that has multiple sea and/or brasil trips under his belt?
i just can't see having one myself ;)
| By Don Marco on Friday, September 30, 2005 - 10:41 am: Edit |
About the time I step off the plane (in the US), trips become a memory, albeit a fond one. It's also about the time that I start getting the urge to return and surround myself with plenty of hot looking 18-20yo's.
What kind of party? How about one that leaves his cock a few layers of skin thinner from all the fucking and sucking? One that would leave WS thanking us for the fact his cock can take a well deserved rest afterward?

Again, thanks so much for the good wishes.
Khun Mor – we have to get you down to Colombia – I think you’d be quite pleased with the talent.
Frontbc – thanks – if you can’t communicate, you don’t stand a chance.
Sandman – I’ll see you in a couple weeks
Tommytai – thanks for the wishes, but I think I’ll keep the wedding pics private.
Socrates – yeah, she’s the complete package: a real looker and super intelligent and ambitious. I think she’ll do well in NY. Her favorite TV show is the Apprentice. Doesn’t watch telenovelas. That’s says A LOT.
Flhobbyer – I’m with you – it’s like I’ve had extended bachelor parties every other month over the last 3 years. This is sorta anti-climactic.
DM – “One that would leave WS thanking us for the fact his cock can take a well deserved rest afterward?”
What makes you think A is going to let me rest my pecker?
BKKGuru – Thanks! I’ll still report now and again on Medellin as I’ll still be spending a lot of time there.
LD – Thanks – never been to RIO and now the window of opportunity is closing fast.
