Travelers to Buenos Aires may think they have died and have gone to heaven - the livin is easy and the women, they are easier. For a day's introduction to Buenos Aires, let me make the following recommendations:

1) Begin your day with a large breakfast and some strong coffee at your hotel. You will need all your strength.

2) Round 1:00 p.m. or so, you will have finished breakfast and will be ready to begin your day. (Believe me, you will not wake up earlier than 11:00 a.m. if you do Buenos Aires correctly!) Go down and have your friendly taxi driver to take you to Cafe Orleans in Microcentro. CO is really a coffee bar, but something different will strike you, and that is the number of young ladies (overwhelmingly college-girl types in jeans and light sweaters) there waiting to make serious eye contact with you. Strike up a conversation at will - in general, the going rate for a return trip to your hotel is 150-200 pesos an hour (1 peso = 3.6 as of 9/1/02). Spend a couple of hours of personal quality time getting to know your new friend. Encourage her to leave when you have had enough. Give her a nice 10% tip, and get her phone number in case you want to plow over old ground again later.

3) By now it is 5:00 p.m. Take your shower, and if you are me, take a nap.

4) 8:00 p.m. should find you ready for dinner. Eating out in BsAs is a paradise for everyone except for vegetarians. Enjoy dinner, have a couple glasses of the local wine. By now it is pushing 10:00 p.m.

5) Taxi over to Recoleta, to a place called Playwoman. Better yet, stop a block away, and walk slowly toward it. A tout will tell you about it - ask him if you can get free drinks if you go - last time I got two free drinks. PW is small, but filled with friendly chicas, including a few familiar faces from Cafe Orleans. Only now, they are tramped up. Find yourself a friendly girl, negotiate a price (150-200 pesos an hour should be a fair price), pay the bar the "drink penalty" of 20 pesos per drink times two drinks. Return to hotel for more dancing in the sheets. When done, and as she is leaving, get yourself another phone number.

6) By now it is about 2:00 a.m. Shower quickly again, head back to Recoleta to a bar called New Port Pub. Plenty more college-girl types to choose from. This is more like a regular bar than Playwoman. Pick yourself out another friend, negotiate a price, and have at it again, if you are able. (If not, pop a Vitamin V before you leave the hotel!!!) Remember to get her number if you fancy another throw.

7) By now it is about 6:00 a.m. Time for sleep. Get some, and get up at 11:00 a.m.

8) Repeat as many times as necessary until you have sated yourself!!!

Yes to both. Unfortunately, I leave around 6:00 pm on 10/20. I understand you arrive on the 21st, so we just miss each other this trip. After reading all your posts, I would like to have met up for dinner and evening's entertainment. Maybe next trip. I was planning to go again in December when Godfather will be there, but Moondog says it is one of the slowest time of the year, so I may do a trip to Rio around that time instead.

Except for Blacks, I was quoted $100-200 pesos for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs, and was told by a local customer at Affaire that the chicas went from $70-100 pesos.
All other hombres, beware of Black's, they'll deal in dollars when you think they're dealing in pesos, and they're really not that much better.

You raise an interesting point. You quote a local as saying chicas go for "70 to 100pesos." As a foreigner you aren't likely to get a chica from one of the more popular boliches to go with you for 70 pesos, especially in Recoleta.

Whether in hotels or boliches, there is an emerging dual price structure....lower prices for Argentinos, higher prices for extranjeros....a reflection of these sad times in Argentina and the inability of the vast majority of Argentinos to pay more.....

I definitely agree with Ezy. 70 pesos might be available for a local or for a chica that is mediocre at best. If your goal is to pay the cheapest amount possible no matter what the girl looks like than you can probably find it for 70 pesos in Clarin.

I don't care what anyone says. You're not going to pay much less than 200 pesos for a short time visit with a smoking hottie. (short time visit can be anywhere from 1 1/2 hours to 3 or 4 hours...depending if they like you or not). I've had some smoking hot girls that I negotiated for 200 pesos for 2 hours and they've stayed longer and I literally had to tell them they could leave.

Many hotties will not take less money on principle alone. I know it sounds crazy but it's true. Many of the Black's girls are like this. They would rather make nothing than take less than 400 pesos. The absolute cheapest I paid at Black's was 300 pesos for a short time visit (back in May when the rate was 3.15). That is about $95. In early September the hottie I talked to wanted 450 pesos for 2 hours ($125 US) or 600 pesos for all night. Or close to $168 US at the rate of 3.58 pesos to the dollar.

Granted that is only $40 US difference but those $40's start to add up if you are there a long time. Or even if you are there a short time but see 2-3 girls a day. Even in a short 4-5 day trip, it's possible to see over 10 girls. $40 US X 10 = $400 US for those of you mathamatically challenged.

Black's girls will always be more expensive. Every dude I know no matter if he is fluent in spanish, is young, good looking, whatever. All have been quoted high prices. All that being said, there are some hotties here. If you see someone you can't live without...definitely see her. What's $40 US in the grand scheme of things. Trust me, back in May I paid Lisa from Playwoman 500 pesos for an all nighter (I think she asked for 400 pesos but i gave her 500). That is not counting the 100 peso exit fee I paid. So, all told 600 pesos for an all nighter. I didn't even try to negotiate (rookie mistake). But you know what? That $190 US investment was one of the best investments to me. I have tons of hot pictures of her, but more importantly the memories of that awesome night. She was so hot. No one can ever take away the memories.....

70 pesos is about USD20 ? Difficult to finis a deal like that in EZE, atleast for a pharang..

You did not make a rookie mistake. I never negotiate price, only time, and let the girls make the offer. I was in Shampoo last night, and was going to go to some of the other clubs, but wound up staying with a very beautiful girl. She started talking about going to the hotel, and I told her that I was not interested in one or two hours, that it had to be all night or nothing. Total cost, including breakfast, about $150 U.S. It was definitely worth every penny. If you see quality, adjust to it.

I don't disagree with your post and Ezy's, but I did get 2 chicas from Black's for 300 peseos apiece, although it was by default. A chica had accepted $100 for 2hrs, I thought it was such a good deal that I told her to bring her friend along. It wasn't until after they were undressed in the cuarto that I found out they were talking Dollars. Since I thought they were trying to pull a fast one on me I told them I only had 600 pesos.

There are low prices and high prices in both areas, and the quality and satisfaction is totally up to you and your eyes and desires. What is good for one person, is not the same for another. There is not shortage of beautiful women in either country.

Try them all. With reference to the internet girls, narrow it down to about 5-10 that you want to see. On that Saturday and Sunday, expect to have only about two hits.

Get some sleep in the late afternoon and early eveining, then hit the clubs at night.

I just returned from BA and can say with some certainty that the cafes are not good spots for Saturday afternoons.....try the apartments or internet.....on Saturday night, try Afairre, Madahos and Black...most of the other clubs are dead on the weekends. Mon-Thursday are the best nights...

I do not know about Black, but Madahos and some of the other clubs should be open.

Head to Cafe Orleans in the afternoon. Although it is mostly geared to the business week, there are the girls who only work on the weekends, and those that work all days.

Have a stash of Escorts picked out, and start calling. Expect only about 1 or 2 out of 10 to be available, unless you have made prior arrangements.

I am not sure about Blacks on Sunday, but on a Saturday in Mid-February there were tons of girls in Black and very few anywhere else. I may have to re-think my view of Blacks...if open, is the THE place to be on weekends.
