Spent a few day and was given a list of places to go to from young business men and women. They cited which nights were better as well. Went to a couple.
Na Mata: Rua da Mata, 70 - Itaim. (Good tues/sats)
Grazie a Dio: Rua Girassol, 67 -Vila Madalena. (good on Sundays)
Traço de União: Rua Claudio Soares, 73 - Largo da Batata. (good on Fridays) (Went to this place. Great if you like Samba)
All Black: Rua Oscar Freire, 163 - Jardins. (good on Saturdays)
Ébano: Av. Hélio Pelegrino, 531 - Vila Olímpia. (good on Fridays) (went to this place. Good dance club - play mixture of House and reg club tunes)
Vila Isabel: Av. Helio Pelegrino, ...
Asia 70: Rua Domingos Andrade, s/ n° - Brooklin.

Thanks for the info. I once almost went into Traco de Uniao when exploring the Pinheiros area; it is one block from one of the cheapest casas I know in SP aka the hole in the wall casa. Now I'll have to check it out although I don't think it is realistic for me to dance Samba :-(.

Went to a cool place last night (Friday) called Memphis. www.memphis.com.br. It is located in Moema, Ave. dos Imarés, 295. Music was 60´s and 70´s American. Crowd was 30 +, a lot of hot older women here.
