Not a bad hotel at all, caddy corner to the atlantico across the street from Luamo. Decent bed nice room with shower big enough for 2 to tango. Room has large digital safe (big enough for laptop) with highspeed internet (was $R15/hr) but I got it free as part of package via hotels.com.
Not as nice as princess copa but all in all not a bad choice....especially if you need highspeed internet and have toys. The digital safe eliminates the "hide the key" BS...

Does anyone know for sure if this hotel is guest-friendly? (On a close reading, I can't tell whether Macmac actually tried bringing up guests.) I'd probably use it if it is.

I walked by this place last year and asked the bellboy if there was any problem bringing up a garota and he said it was OK. But I did not confirm at the front desk b/c they were occupied with a check-in. Best to call the hotel directly and ask. This place intrigued me; it looks OK and the price is cheap. I always stay at AC accross the street, which I love, but the price has steadily increased over the years. You can always book and if there is a problem move to AC, where you can never go wrong.

I can finally confirm this as a monger-tolerant (if not friendly) hotel accross from the SC metro station.
Hotel is about 100 US a night and is very clean and modern. Rooms are adequate and seem appropriate for the price.
I brought back GDPs 4 out of my 5 nights without incident. There is a 30 real guest charge and of course you must register the girl at reception.
I say "guest tolerant" only because the hotel ambiance seems pretty professional and the staff is a bit stiff, unlike the guys at Atlantico accross the street.
The hotel is prefectly situated with immediate access to the metro, Luomo, MC, and Blockbuster ATM all within a hop, skip, and a jump.
