I found Mendoza just filled with very attractive women, some of whom can be found in the apartments which advertise sexual favors in the local paper, "Mendoza Hoy": look under "masaje" or "sauna" in the classifieds. Many of the ads are for the same place, and the lowest rates posted (10 pesos) will get you a HJ for 10 minutes. Most charge 60 pesos (3 pesos = 1 US) for half hr. FS (always wrapped), often with GFE enthusiasm. Spanish, not indispensable, very, very useful. The best looking girls were in a place on 74 Sarmiento, 3rd fl. apt.6, but the ones who were most into giving GFE service were at a place on 506 E. Blanco, corner with Chile. The selection at 551 Montevideo left something to be desired. Best to go after 8 pm for largest selection, but there are usually 2 girls on hand at all times of day at these places. Best steak dinner to be had at Don Mario's just out of town.

Palmiro, finally someone else discovers the wonderful places I stumbled upon back in Nov. 2002. I am a HUGE fan of Mendoza, not just the hot babes, but it's really a very clean and beautiful place.

I found 551 Montevideo to be pretty hit and miss too. Did have a great session with a real hot babe on my first visit.

Among other things it is a major wine producing area--sort of the Napa Valley of Argentina. I haven't done my research yet, but I believe there are many wineries one can visit, and in a beautiful setting. If the mongering is good as well, sounds like a good place to visit for a change for those of us who spend a lot of time in Brazil and Argentina.

I visited Mendoza to climb Aconcagua mainly, but there are lots of other things to do around there. Besides having some of the most beautiful women in Argentina (besides BA of course), the whole area reminds me of California before it became the urban hell it has become. The weather is about 70s to 80s during the summer, and about 50s and 60s during the winter. As LAguy described, it is wine country, not to mention beef country as well. I had probably the best steaks in Argentina in Mendoza. I only tried a few of the restaurants on Sarmiento street, but each and everyone of them served incredible food at ridiculously low prices. A good bottle of wine in these places runs at about $6-$12, something which would be about $30-$50 in California.

Mendoza owes much of its allure to the Andes which borders it to the west. Flying through these mountains alone was an incredible experience. Hiking and climbing them were unreal. You could also go mountain biking or rafting, or other numerous outdoor activities if you're into that. You could also do a wine tour through the many vineyards that are scattered throughout the province.

As a mongering site, its definitely not BA. But if you just want to hang and relax, its a great part of Argentina to do it in.

The bus ride from Mendoza to Santiago is phenomenal. You pass right past Aconcagua. You make the border crossing from Argentina to Chile way, way up in the Andes. You will be shivering, huffing and puffing, but loving every minute of it.

Once you start the descent out of the Andes into the the lowlands of Chile, you go down this awesome spiral highway called "el caracol." It has to be one of the great testaments to man's ingenuity.

Once in the lowlands, you are in the wonderful wine vinyards that lead into Santiago.

I only spent one night in Santiago, because, at the time, it was about three times as expensive as Argentina. Wish I would have dedicated more time there. If you get a chance, GO GO GO...

I heard great things about that road, too. It is slow going though. It takes about 8 hours to get from the bus station in Mendoza to Santiago. It's mainly because the highway connecting these two major cities is incredibly busy with trucks and cars. Unless you really want the "adventure", I would suggest flying. There are no trains unfortunately.

You're right about Chile. Very expensive. Hotels, food, wine, women, everything. Plus, I find Argentinian women to be so much better. I find it also funny how much Chileans and Argentinians hate each other. Want to strike a conversation with a local in Argentina, tell them how much you hate Chile, and you'll have a friend for life.

Eros beats Red Club hands down in my view.

OK, here's a quick report on a trip to one of the "Departamento's". Address: Patricias Mendocinas 635, 5th Floor, Apt 57. Tel: 423 9650.

Caveat's: a) it's small, there were only 3 girls and one bedroom so worth ringing in advance to check availability. b) the girls seem to change quite frequently, so don't expect the two below to be there forever.

That said, I went looking for two girls, lots of oral and a generally filthy time in a cheapo location and that's what I got.

I was in there for about 45 mins for AR$210 (=US$70) in total - so US$35 each girl. Not bad. They weren't catwalk models by any means but were up for pretty much anything and I got just what I was looking for. The girls were called Luna and Serena .... and they certainly delivered - BBBJ no problem.

The "mamasan" who answers the phone is called Laura ... I speak Spanish, so not sure if she speaks English, but I suspect so. You can get anything from a 15 min quickie at AR$60 per girl, to whatever you want to dream up.

While I'm at it, Eros Club has gone downhill a bit unless you like chunky girls .... hard to find a delgadita. Current prices are AR$45 for entry (for which you get a national drink); AR$50 for a "lady drink" and AR$300 to take the girl back to your place for an hour.

They also have a back room with a) a communal area but where the girls strip off and get pretty frisky, and b) private booths where apparently you get everything except sex or oral. I'm not sure what the prices are back here but close to the take-out so I always go for the take-out.

After visiting Santiago, Valparaiso, Vina del Mar rode Andesmar bus to Mendoza (8hrs, 16.5k clp), viewed Acongagua, highest summit in the western hemisphere. Stayed only a few nites here before continuing to Patagonia.

Several colleges located in MDZ, streets lined w/ (civilian) bars, clubs, cafes, restaurants.

P4P scene small, several casas, paid 50-60p half hr. It appeared prive at Sarmiento 74 piso 3, apt 6 closed. Well, this is kind of amusing. So, I go to one of the cheap casas in Mendoza, and as per reports I have seen, most of the girls are gordas, with one that is a semi-gorda who is semi-doable but not really.

So I ask what the prices are and I'm told 20 pesos for 10 minutes, I believe 30 for 15 minutes, 50 or 60 for 30 minutes, and 100 pesos for an hour.

Once I get outside I realize that most of their sessions must be 10 minutes (using the logic above), and so from their perspective this gringo just told them US$5 was too much money to pay to fuck them. Oh well, I hope they can take a joke.

I found that Patricias Mendocinas 687 was closed around 9 p.m. (whether it is open earlier I may check out later), and I should have remembered that Zoner said 74 Sarmiento is no longer a casa, as that is what I found to my embarrassment after ringing the bell (at least to the extent of my meager ability to understand Spanish).

And if you must know, the casa I just described is the one at Montevideo 551 and it is located close to Chile Street, Calle (or whatever). I suppose it is possible sometimes there will be a doable there, but don't bank on it.

And if anyone out there is holding back on providing info on Mendoza (other than that above, and what is in AP), I need some real bad, and soon!

I visited Mendoza 7 years ago, had a pretty good time there, and also rented a car and drove to the High Andes (near Acancagua), as well as to San Rafael.
