FYI, getting through tax exemption, immigration and security for an outbound flight to the U.S. took about 1:45 hrs a few weeks ago. This was for a 9:30 am flight. I was staying in BOG.
Planning a future trip, but am tempted to bypass BOG and fly out of CTG in the early AM. My CTG flight gets in at about 7:30 am (domestic) and my Delta flight to the U.S. departs at 9:30 am. I doubt I can collect my bags, get on the bus to the Intn'l Annex, and get through immigration in time to catch the Delta flight at 9:30am. Anyone try this?

I kinda tried it on a Taca flight. But that was a few year's ago, I barely made it. I needed a Taca agent to help me bypass some of the line.
So I don't recommend it. Unless your an Elite Delta passenger, with only carry-on, maybe?

That's actually an idea, I might try just taking carry-ons and zipping through their elite line. Thanks.

I now remember what really happened to me.
The first outside entrance line seemed short, so I went to the Diner's Club lounge to use the PC, get a drink, and relax.
When I returned to go in, WOAAAAA!!!! If I recall right, you have to go thru migracion, two x-ray screenings and a human "pat-down/frisking".
A Taca agent was walking the line, asking for any Taca passengers. That was what saved me. She said follow me, and then ask people if they would let me cut in line to make my flight (por favor, muchas gracias). And I got to the airport two hours early too!
So, even if your're an Elite or have no status, you still have to run the gauntlet. And pray there's an agent looking for runner's (ala O.J.) grin. Buena suerte!

I flew back to the U.S. on March 20th and wanted to give some updated info on Bogota's airport. They've just upgraded it and the check in terminals are much better than they used to be. There was more room and everything was run more efficiently.

Tim3rexas. Good to hear they have done something, The Bogota airport had to have been the worst airport on the planet.
