I want to venture to Rio (GIG) the last full week of july .. what is the best website for a round trip fare out of the US? Expedia is quoting around $1200 RT.

I've noticied that airfare.com has very good fares. Do you get frequent flyer miles with their tickets?

soccer
these are deep discount tickets so you may get only 50% miles

I've used airfare.com and it's usually pretty good. Another interesting option is hotels.com. If you look at them for regular air they show a fare of ~$1440 {I used /23-7/29 on search} but if you check the "add a hotel button" you get pricing from $1460 with hotel [premier copacobana]{across from lloumo} up thru $2000+. I stayed at the Premier last trip and it was not bad.
It wont be the best fare but it basically gives you a consolidator rate on the air travel. If you look at room alone the Premier is $86/night so airfare is about $1030. I've found that sometimes the "combo" rate actually is better then any other option I can find.
