This section is copied from my trip report. This is mainly for people that want all the info on Porto Alegre in one place.

There is considerable talent here in this city. I do not recommend going a few days before and after New Year’s.

Day Action

Thurday Festa COVER is R$70 which includes all the beer
you can drink. You are allowed to get beers and give (without limit) it to the girls that work there.
CHECKING IN: The counter is the first thing you see when you enter. Johnny is white guy who also speaks English. He will tell you that he got some ties to Denver, Colorado as they are the roots to his language skills. First thing they will ask is if "Conhece esta casa?" Which means do you know this house? If you tell them no, they will explain everything to you including the charges and facilities. You will then tell the reception your first name and then you will be given a lock key. The robes are blue and sleeveless and they as well as the sandals are already in the locker. The locker attendant, Cristiano, a white guys with glasses is very cool. Once you finish changing you will give your key to him or if there is another attendant and then head to the facilities. REMEMBER YOUR LOCKER NUMBER!! You will need it to order drinks and food later. There are many people that work there and will point you in the right direction if you look like you’re lost.
ROOM COST: R$30
GIRL COST: R$100 for the hour. You will always negotiate this with the girls and they usually ask for more. Most girls start at R$200 and then settle at R$100. If you want anal it'll be R$150. Guys, believe me the standard is R$100.
ATMOPSPHERE: I would say that on the non-festa days the only part of the boite that is open is the upstairs part which is a large room that I would make a compare in size to the one at 4x4 in Rio. There are many tables and chairs in this room and the girls there are dressed in regular clothing. Some are a little more revealing. On Thursday festa days, there is always a live band and the boite is in a room downstairs which is pretty large. The upstairs room will be closed on Thursdays. Also on Thursdays you will have non-pro girls working who usually show up after 6pm when they get off of their regular jobs. So if you show up at 4:30 and don’t like the selection, just wait a little longer. The girls there are NOT AGGRESSIVE at all. They will stay with you for a long time hanging out and you will have to be the one to tell them you want to take them to a room. They girls here told me that there were very few Americans that came here...almost non-existent.
PAYING THE TAB: Easy. You will pay as you leave which is the counter you check in with when you enter. After my session with my girl I told her I was leaving and she followed me to the reception where I paid them, then paid her right there.

COVER: R$43 which covers all the beer and soda you can drink. They serve food every night which is also free.
CHECKING IN: The taxi will drive into an entrance off the road with a neon sign that says "Oasis". You will have to pay him. You get out once you are in a courtyard of cars and head upstairs to where you will see the reception and bar. The bar is half in the reception and half in the night club so you have a good view of the night club and talent from the reception. Here at the reception you will give you first name and be given a locker key. It is not obligatory to put on your rob as you can go into the night club with regular street clothes. Here at the check in you will most likely meet Felipe who is a waiter He speaks perfect English because he used to live in San Diego. His cell phone number is 8449-0494. I told him I would share his number with all my buddies and she said it was not problem to call him anytime. RIO60 actually called him from Karan Dache and found out that there were 18 girls there before we decided to go. The reception and night club is divided by a big fish tank and a door.
ROOM COST: Half of cost of the negotiated rate with the girl.
GIRL COST: Between R$70 and R$100
ATMOSPHERE: The night club is about the size of Solarium and the difference is that they also have tables and chairs. There are some suites (not cabines) by the stage and more upstairs by reception. The suites are really big and spacious with a separate shower and toilet which is also pretty spacious. The shower is big enough for two people.

PAYING THE TAB- Easy, just hand your key to reception and they will tell you the total. You can also ask them to call you a cab which is a great safety precautionary measure.

Sauna La Luna

ROOM COST: Two rooms one for R$25 and one for R$40
GIRL COST: Negotiated with girl. Usually between R$70 and R$110
FESTA: First Thursday of each month. Probably better on these days.
ATMOSPHERE: Very clean in appearance from the reception. Locker room is downstairs. Average facilities including a small indoor pool. The night club is similar in size to that of Luomo. Before going
in we were told that there were 20 girls. However when we got there we did not see that many and did not see anything that we liked. So we immediately went to reception to complain and they waived our cover and we walked out for free. They were very nice about it and you have to be nice when you ask them to do this sort of thing. They also own Sauna Goaiba and one of the partners also has in interest in Sauna Oasis.
TALENT: Does not seem to be too good here. The place is not in a very good neighborhood as half of it is favela. Someone needs to go to a Festa and write a report to confirm the talent level.


Night Action

COVER: R$69 this includes 7 drinks - beer, soda, water, etc.

ROOM COST: Three rooms R$50, R$65,or R$75
GIRL COST: Negotiable with the girls. Usually R$200 is the minimum. You will find girls that are new to the business that start at R$200 while some of the superstars start at R$400. This place has a reputation where the girls are very expensive due to so many gringo tourists going there. Basically I think what drives prices up are people going and giving the girls what they ask and not negotiating. Girls here also give private lap dances. Minimum for that is usually R$40 and is negotiable with the girl.
CHECKING IN: Easy. The doorman will hand you a card which is your tab. Fold it up and KEEP IT WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES!
PAYING THE TAB: Easy. They are very honest with the bill. There should never be a dispute at this establishment.
TAXI: DON´T PAY THE TAXI! They will pay for you. Just get out when you get there and signal someone who works there and point to the taxi.
ATMOSPHERE: I love this place and it is my favorite night spot in POA. It is very relaxed. The place is just absolutely gorgeous. There are many places to sit and three poles with two stages for the dancers. Also, behind the stage and behind the transparent curtains is another lounge area with couches. Anyone can go there - it is not a VIP area as some people think and you do not need to buy a bottle or anything like that. Girls will dance throughout the night and take turns. Girls that dance will change into a different outfit which is usually more revealing. Otherwise the girls are dressed in their "to go out" clothes. The girls here, although not all, are aggressive in two ways: Coming up to you and meeting, and asking you to take them to the room.
TALENT: Very hot. LOTS of stunners. I could not believe the level and quantity of talent they had. You will not be disappointed. I saw some of the most beautiful faces I have ever seen in Brasil and they were all in one club. Several of the girls do speak English.
STAFF: Not as many numbers as Madrigal but they are still there and really don’t bother you and are rarely
seen. Neda, who seems to be a manager or part owner, is someone of importance there. I’m told she speaks fluent Spanish and that if any girls mess with you, to let her know. The girls all seem to be wary of her authority. Get to know Neda if you can. It can pay dividends later.

CHECKING IN: After walking in and shaking hands with the doorman, he will hand you a card which keeps your tab. More on this later. Every time I was there, Herbert, the doorman, was very friendly and took me into the club and made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed before he left me on my own. He remembered my name every time I was there.
ROOM COST: R$100 The rooms here have a shower and toilet and upon entering both you and the girl will shower before you start playing.
***THEY WILL ALWAYS PAY YOUR CAB FARE. DO NOT PAY THE
DRIVER. Instead get out of the cab and wave the doorman to Carmen´s over and point to the cab.
GIRL COST: R$200. This is negotiated with the girl while inside the club. They always start higher, like around $300 and then settle at the standard R$200. DO NOT PAY MORE!!
ATMOSPHERE: I would say it is a cross between Barbarella and HELP but not as large as HELP. There are lots of girls and there are a surprisingly good number of stunners. This is a real party atmosphere. The girls here are also not very aggressive but you will have to approach, smile, or wave them over to talk to them. You can also ask the waiter to get the girl to come over. Some waiters are really cool as you will find out from my experience below. The girls will at some point ask if you want to take them to a room which is a subtle difference from Karan D'Ache. Some days the selection of talent is better than others and I guess it just depends on the day you are here. My experience varied probably because it was the week of the New Year and most Brasileiros go the to beach for the "Revellon"
(pronounced with an H).
WAITERS: Very very cool. Look for Johnny. He is a black guy who speaks nearly perfect english. He is a wealth of information when it comes to the girls. How long there, good, bad, is she worth the time or not.
PAYING THE TAB: As you enter, you will be given a long rectangular card which is you tab. MAKE SURE YOU DON´T LOSE THIS. Fold it up and keep it in your pocket. When you want a drink, hand this card to a waiter and tell them what you want. They will return later with your drink and the card. To leave you will need a receipt which the doorman collects as you exit but to get it you need to pay you settle your account. You can do this at the window counter which you pass when you enter. It is also right next to the exit (SAIDA). Look for the sign on the ceiling that says (SAIDA). Another option is to give you card with the marked charges to a waiter and you can pay them and then get your receipt for the doorman.

CHECKING IN: EASY. A waiter will approach you, set you up with a table of your choice and get all your drinks at one time. It will come out in a bucket full of ice which you can bring to your room later. You can take any combination of what you want.
TAXI DRIVER: DO NOT PAY THEM! THE CLUB WILL PAY THE TAXI FARE.
ROOM COST: $40 REALS. You will pay this to the attendent who will give you the room key.
GIRL COST: Between R$100 and R$200. This is negotiated with the girl. Paying R$100 is normal.
ATMOSPHERE: This place is a big night club with dancer poles. When you first walk in there is a room that is usually empty with some tables and chairs. You will notice several posters on the wall advertising sex related stuff: events, the club,etc. Walk in further and you will walk into the night club portion. Immediately to your left is a big stage with a wading pool full of water. There are three poles on this stage with girls dancing. There are many tables and chairs spread out the place. There are six more dancer poles spread out throughout the place which have tables right next to them. These dancer poles are elevated so when you sit down at a table next to a pole, the dancer’s feet should be at your chest level.
WAITERS: Extremely helpful. They will do everything they can to help you get a girl of your choice.
PAYING THE TAB: When you want to close your tab just tell your waiter. You can do this before you take your girl to the room even after you have your session. I recommend taking care of this before your session. The waiter will hold the bill for you to see. TAKE THE BILL OUT OF HIS HANDS AND LOOK
EVERYTHING OVER!!! Read below. **CAUTION** This place has a bad reputation for over charging. The girls are not allowed to drink from your bucket of goodies. Paying for her drinks will really put a dent in your pocket. A Smirnoff ice cost R$33 and a Red Bull alone costs R$30. A red bull whisky will set you back R$50. When you get a drink for the girl, they may bring two out even if you asked for just one. When you tell then you just wanted one they will say, "Oh, just keep it there and if you don’t use, they will bring it back." When I closed me tab, the extra Smirnoff we did not use was on bill along with another drink we did not order. SO WATCH OUT!! YOU can successfully argue the charges and get the bill reduced. I made such a big deal that the bill went from R$160 to R$115. I had to argue based on principle or else they will think they can get away with it with every gringo.

This is a night club in a city called Novo Hamburg. A taxi driver told me about it and apparently is a pretty good place for GDP’s.

This is a new hotel that opened up in 2005. They have a great English speaking staff and a cab ride to most places is between R$7 and R$15. The hotel is very nice since it is new. They have a business center where you can purchase time to use the internet. All rooms have a fridge. Room service is 24 hours a day. This place will cost you about R$100 per night.

Therapist recommendation: Line (pronounced Lee Nee) - This girl is very cute and will ask for feedback and she wants to make you feel good. There are other’s but I didn’t bother trying and Line had great sex appeal and was just nice to look at while her hand are on you.
