One of you guys were talking about a Colombian Visa the other day where you have to deposit 24K in a Col bank for a years visa. I was looking for the thread and couldn't find it.
The visa name started with a P like Paderino/Patierno or something similar.
Anyway, whoever posted that could you provide a thread for information. I've searched several consulates and see no mention of this type of visa.
Thanks in advance for the assist.

Sandman, I did not start the thread, but in one of the threads someone asked about the Rentista Visa, then I think I brought up the pensionado visa. A buddy of mine got one in Panama and gets all kinds of discounts and benefits. ie: 50% off hotels, etc. The financial requirements are really low. Someone posted back that Colombia has these visas, but not the same as Panama. I think. Can anyone else help out? AZ

Tomtom called it a Rentista visa. I'm not familiar but he has had one for sometime. It runs for 1 year and you have to renew it by proving you still had money in the bank (about $24K).
The Pensionado visa requires $2000 a month income in Colombia from investments. Panama is only $500 and it needs to come from a government or company pension. I'm not sure that Colombia cares what source it comes from.
Panama is actively trying to attract Pensioners from around the world. Colombia can give a shit.
