Rua Augusta Clubs Discussion

Spent a week there with the garotas, paying between 80 and 100 reales for street girls and about the same in the clubs. The street girls will stay with you with you from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the garota. Often you'll get a gfe. A lot of these women love sex. Downside. Distance to Sao Paulo--19 hrs. But now is the best time of all since you'll be getting an hour or two for twenty-five to thirty U.S., and you can take her back to your own room so there's no room charge. How do they compare with elsewhere? Prettier and more accomodating than anything I found, with the exception of Cuba--which can be as good, tho a good bit more expensive.

Rua Augusta can be a lot of fun. There are some skanks to be sure, but there are a lot of very pretty and friendly girls as well.

Thanks for the memories.

I went to Sao Paulo in October 2001 and stayed in a Hotel in Rua Augusta, sincerely I think is the
street in the world with the bigest density of perfect women. If you walk or pass trought RUA
AUGUSTA after midnight you can find incredible women, you can think this one is the best but if you look at the other side of the street you get
a better one, and if look around you see another much better, you can get sick or get blind after looking so many wonderful girls and I talking of
hundreds of them asking only for 100 reales,
This is unique place in all de world. I took two
girls Gaby and Rosy, one was 21 years old and the
another around tirties. one was a blonde with a hairless pussy and the another had 113-65-95 and
had a little busceta (Pussy). It was a unforgettable moment and dream come true. If you
have the posibility to travel to Sao Paulo, look
for a hotel in RUA AUGUSTA there are over six or
seven good hotels were you can stay.

I posted this earlier, but this hotel is 1 block from Kilt on Run Agusta, and right next to a terma.

Repeated posting listed below.

This hotel is located on Rua Agusta a few blocks offAve Paulista. It is easy to get to from the Airport, GRU, To get there from the airport, you take one of the buses that make the hotel circuit in the Paulista area. Buses run every 30 minutes, and will drop you in front of the hotel. You can also catch the bus in front of the hotel back to GRU. The price for the bus rid is about $R 10.00. If you take a taxi, it will be $R25 - $R35.

The web site for the hotel is listed below:

http://www.cadoro.com.br/

This place is without a doubt one of the nicesest hotels that I have ever stayed at.

Another advantage is that Rua Agusta seems to be safe to walk at night. I would not adventure far off this street.

In July I stayed there, and was going to visit Kilts. I only had the address for Kilts, and went out front to get a taxi. When I gave the doorman the address I wanted to go to, he told me that it was only a block away. The streets were well lighted, and there were lots of people on the street, and so I walked over there.

I came back with a lady so the hotel is Chica friendly.

I have stayed here several times before. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and many people speak English.

The room that I had was the Superior suite.

There is good Internet service in the hotel.

I would recommend that if you are doing the mongering thing that you fly between Sao Paulo and Rio using Congohas airport in Sao Paulo, and Santos Dumont in Rio. Both airports are close to the center of the cities, and easier and quicker then going to GRU in Sao Paulo, or GIG in Rio. Flights between Rio and SP usually leave every 30 minutes on both Varig, and TAM. For other flights around Brazil, check GOL.

If you are leaving from the hotel, and flying back to the US, you can ask for a late checkout. There are arrangements that they will make so that you do not have to spend money for another day. Of course most US flights leave SP late at night.

Anyway, back to the Hol Grand Hotel Cadora. I would highly recommend this place. My visits here have always been very pleasant.

By Alwayscarnaval on Tuesday, November 05, 2002 - 01:36 am:  Edit

Canonperdido, thanks for the info. How would you compare the quality of Augusta street girls to other places? Top girls from Augusta would be comparable to Rio terma girls?

You mentioned termas in SP. Are there termas in SP? Could you elaborate please?

By Canonperdido on Tuesday, November 05, 2002 - 07:36 am:  Edit

Right next to the Cadoro Hotel on the right as you walk out is a place called "Big Ben". It is a terma I believe. I did not visit it. Even though I have stayed several times at this hotel, I only had a lady in once. This is because I did not know any better, and was afraid to walk around outside the hotel then.

I was not looking for street girls. I only walked over to Kilt's which is about a block away. It is full of beautiful women.

Sorry that I cannot give you anymore information then that.

Ask Moondog about street girls. I think he has meet a couple on the street there.

Next time I am in SP, and stay at the Cadoro, I will try Big Ben.

Good luck.

I stayed at Ca d'Oro two years ago. It's a grand hotel (Princess Anne stayed there) if a little dated. Still represents great value, particularly at weekends, and is heartily recommended .

Surprised (and delighted) to hear that they allow garotas in. I was with non-monger friends so didn't test this out. I also wasn't aware of Rua Augusta's reputation prior to my visit. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I returned at 4am to find the street was livelier than I thought.

Looking forward to checking Rua Augusta out on my next visit to SP.

By Canonperdido on Tuesday, November 05, 2002 - 05:32 pm:  Edit

I think it is a great value for the money. Food is good, people are friendly, and I agree that it is a little dated, but still better then many other places.

By Fahrenheit on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 - 05:10 pm:  Edit

Hey! Be careful with these girls standing on Rua Augusta! They are mostly heavy drug abusers (like heroine or heavier) and many of them have STD. So, extra caution is needed. So, try massage house or boates like Cafe Foto or Bahamas instead.

By Jarule on Tuesday, March 04, 2003 - 09:02 am:  Edit

I think this is true. Why would these girls work on the street for peanuts rather than at a fancier boate for much more?

It's either because they're heavily on drugs (most of the high-end boates try to boot the druggies out), already worked at a boate and got caught with an STD (i.e. visible symptoms herpes, AIDS, etc that a client may have seen and complained to management about), or they're underage.

The following TripReport snippet is taken from 2004/05 Laguy's Sao Paulo Ins And Outs

Rua Augusta area

Within easy walking distance from Kilt is Rua Augusta. The safest way to get there if you are walking (note, there probably is no really safe way, short of a taxi), is as you are leaving the front door of Kilt, take a right for about 1/8th of a block, then a left on the street you hit (something like Rua Martinho Prado); the next street will be Rua Augusta and you take a right heading up a hill. Alternatively you can take a shortcut through the square, heading in the direction of "Big Ben," which on Rua Augusta and which is obvious from the "Big Ben" clock that forms part of the building. Incidentally, if you cut across the square, you will see Termas do Square (discussed below) just ahead of you as you exit the square.

The places of interest on Rua Augusta are primarily in the six and seven hundred block, mostly on the left-hand side as you walk up the street. Many open in the afternoon, although are not fully staffed then. Some are also open on Sundays.

The deal on Rua Augusta is it is not high-end stuff, but not as low-end as the $R1 per minute places in Rio or places like Vila Mimosa. The greeters at the front doors have suits and ties, and the bars generally are not bad, although clearly a step down from Kilt, Cocktail, and Vargao Palace. You will have to look harder for an acceptable garota at many of these places than at expensive places, but there definitely are diamonds in the rough to be found here, and it often doesn't take a great effort before you find one. The places generally charge between R$5 and R$10 for entrance, which entitles you to one or two beers. Often you can talk the doorman into letting you check out the place for a moment without having to pay the entry fee. My limited experience in this regard suggests the fewer attractive garotas there are at an establishment, the more likely the doorman will refuse such a request since he can anticipate you leaving soon after you do your look and see.

Sessions generally last for 30 or 40 minutes, and require paying both a garota fee and a room fee (at some places the garota fee is paid directly to the garota; in others it is paid to the house at the same time the room fee is). The garota fee is usually R$50, unless you look really green and choose a garota who wants to take advantage. Also, those garotas who are willing to do anal (not the majority, but not an insignificant number) will typically charge R$80 rather than R$50 for the session (assuming of course, you want this extra). Rooms run around R$20; if there are two types of rooms that differ by about R$5, you will be better off with the more expensive one, although most places only have one category of room, as best as I can tell.. All the rooms I have been in have showers, although the degree of cleanliness varies. One encouraging thing though is the garota generally gets new sheets and towels before accompanying you to the room.

Although this is not uniform, as a general matter I have had very good luck getting photos from the garotas at the Rua Augusta places. Most would allow photos during the session (i.e., during the sex) in addition to before and after.

There is one other thing to keep in mind. There are "American bars" which are essentially bars with rooms in the back. Then there are "saunas." I have only spent much time in one of the saunas (Balneario) so my experiences with them are limited, but the routine there is you can either leave your clothes on and gain entrance for a R$10 fee (which includes two beers), or you can pay an extra R$10, get a towel, which you wrap around yourself after undressing, and use the steam room and sauna (in which case your $R20 gets you only one free drink). There are lockers where you can store your things, etc. There are certain advantages to going the sauna route, as discussed below.

It is not necessary for me to list all the bars and saunas since they are all within a couple of blocks of each other and easy to find. However, I will mention a few and give my reactions, so that you, the reader, can get a better flavor for them.

Important Note: Be very careful on Rua Augusta, particularly late at night. Although I have now spent a fairly substantial amount of time in Brazil, the only time I thought I was being set up for a mugging was one night, around 11 p.m. as I was walking down Rua Augusta. Two guys who looked like thugs were walking rather rapidly behind me. When they got close, I decided to cross the street at a place where there was nothing but a long wall on the other side, in other words no real reason for them to cross there. They immediately followed in my direction, at which time I found I still am able to run like a motherfucker, which I did for about five blocks. Talking this over with some Brasileros, we all concluded I was probably on the verge of being mugged. Incidentally, not that I put a lot of trust in their judgment, but the U.S. State Department has warned about the danger of muggings in this area, specifically mentioning Rua Augusta.

LAguy:
Have you been back to Teatro Onion? Is it on your no go list still?

By Laguy on Monday, January 31, 2005 - 02:24 pm:  Edit

I went to Teatro Orion a couple of weeks ago. My thinking was there were a couple of garotas there I would do another session with, and frankly wanted to get some video of with my new video camera. However, both apparently no longer work there and I didn't want to go through the hassle of screening other garotas, given two factors:

(1) A greater number of garotas at Teatro Orion than at other places fail my interview, often because of attitude. Particularly given that it takes some effort for me to communicate in Portuguese, conducting multiple interviews can get tiring;

(2) when you look at Teatro Orion on www.gpguia.net, and particularly look at the ratings of the particular garotas there, you see that many more don't give BBBJ's and/or don't kiss than at the Sao Paulo clubs I frequent. While overall Teatro Orion is not badly rated, the ratings on gpguia tend to reinforce my own reservations.

OTOH, so long as you don't mind places that are a bit sleazy, it does offer something to do in the daytime, with the possible opportunity for a decent, although perhaps slightly overpriced (in comparison, let's say to the prives/casas) session.

By soccer on Monday, January 31, 2005 - 07:22 pm:  Edit

It flunks your test, and it flunks mine, as well. Thanks for saving me some time and effort and reais in the future. I'm gonna have to try the prives next time.

By Laguy on Monday, January 31, 2005 - 08:39 pm:  Edit

Incidentally, so no-one is misled by Soccer's or my posts, the Teatro Orion is not on Rua Augusta but rather is close to Praca Republica; it is maybe a 15 or 20 minute walk from Rua Augusta and is discussed in another section of Treeview.

By Laguy on Tuesday, February 06, 2007 - 11:46 am:  Edit

Just a heads up about some significant price creep among the Rua Augusta places. What used to be R$50 for a non-anal session (plus the room at around $R20 to R$25) is now tending to be R$70 to R$80 at many of the bars. At first I thought they were gringo pricing me, but saw on gpguia.net that this is what many of the Brasileiros seem to be paying as well. I still like the area depending on my mood, but when you also include the strong real in the equation, the sessions here are not the bargains they used to be.

Perhaps Balneiro is still at R$50 or maybe R$60 but the last time I checked it out there were nothing but low-quality skanks, definitely worse than on some previous visits. My recent visits were primarily to Night House where I paid the higher prices for a 40 minute session.

By Stayawayjoe on Wednesday, December 07, 2011 - 01:24 pm:  Edit

Though I usually donīt care for the low end hooker bars here. I took a dutiful stroll down R. Augusta and was surprised, no shocked really at its transformation. Itīs mostly a trendy place to go now with higher quality restaurants, nightclubs and bars, even a comedy club. A few of the stalwarts are still there like Balneairo and Casarao, but thatīs about it.

By Laguy on Wednesday, December 07, 2011 - 03:50 pm:  Edit

SAJ: When we explored Rua Augusta a few years ago, I believe you sessioned with a girl from Maison or New Maison, just down the street from Balneairo/Casarao. Is it still around?

By Sf4dfish on Wednesday, December 07, 2011 - 05:04 pm:  Edit

My friend Laguy, New Maison is "dust" now. If I recall right, the building has been torn down and is just an empty lot.
I'll double check it next week when I fly back in to SP. sf4dfish

Thanks for the update.

Thanks Sf4dfish. If you remember, you were the one who introduced me to Rua Augusta quite some time ago (and before I knew any Portuguese as you had to translate for me).

I will likely be in Sao Paulo sometime after Carnaval, but it looks like the viable mongering options are shrinking. At least there is still Asia.

By Sf4dfish on Thursday, December 08, 2011 - 05:06 pm:  Edit

Laguy, Asia it is. Will be back in Jakarta January next year for a quick trip to celebrate Chinese New Year's with my friends. And have a one night layover in Manila while in-transit.

Waiting for Bangcock to dry up, as I don't want my toes to get wet with putrid street water.

Sao Paulo is still my playground, but not like the good old day's.

By Sf4dfish on Sunday, December 18, 2011 - 12:03 pm:  Edit

I can confirm that New Maison, and Maison that were on Agusta have been displaced by a parking lot.

And yesterday on a warm December Saturday night, Agusta was crawling with tonīs of pretty party girls, and I did see some attractive freelancing gdpīs. And the one I chatted up offered me a R100 hour and a half programma completa, CIM/swallow. Unfortunately I was on my way to see the noiva.

By Mitchc on Sunday, December 18, 2011 - 06:23 pm:  Edit

I wish I was down there. Lots of great options.
