I am currently visiting BA and had seen some posts which suggest that you can obtain Vitamin V in its generic form from pharmacies here.
I have just tried, and was told its prescription only! They offered me Cialis (Tadalafilo) in 20mg tablets for AP30 each, which is a disappointment when seeking Sildenafilo at 50mg or 100mg.
Can anyone suggest where I might obtain the Sildenafilo? I am staying in Recoleta so here or in Microcentro is easy to get too.
Many thanks,

I'm not sure I am following all this, but wonder whether you misunderstood the deal on Vitamin V. I would be surprised indeed if it were by prescription only. Perhaps what was meant was you can only get the branded drug, not generic (which is what I would expect in Argentina, although I don't say this with absolute certainty).
My only experience in BA, which is a recurring one, is to buy Cialis at about the price you state. I prefer Cialis to Vitamin V so haven't explored the Vitamin V option.

The BA branded V is a purple/pink pill which I found to be very powerful and can be purchased in most pharmacy wo prescription. Plus you can take them back to states wo problem.

Pecs82001: Out of curiosity, what are you basing the statement you can take the BA branded V back to the states without a problem? Although it MAY be true customs rarely goes to the trouble of confiscating Viagra or its counterparts, to the extent you are bringing back something that in the U.S. requires a prescription, my understanding is if you yourself are not carrying a prescription for the medicine, you cannot legally bring it back. Am I missing something?

Thanks for the reply Laguy, and sorry if I was not clear. I went in to a pharmacy and asked for "Sidenafilo" ... following info from these boards, and was told it was by prescription.
My Spanish is not perfect but I am pretty sure I understood ....
So my question might be, are there some pharmacies which are less strict than others?
Thanks again

I don't know whether some pharmacies in BA are less strict than others. What I do know is I have never had any problems in BA purchasing Cialis over the counter and the notion of a prescription for this drug has never arisen. I am skeptical it would be any different for Viagra.
As before though, I am unaware of the Argentinean government breaking the patent protection of either drug and therefore availability of a generic version of either would be highly doubtful IMHO.

Try the smaller independent pharmacies. They are less strict about prescriptions.

LA Guy
I always buy the V which is the purple long tablet that looks like a vitamin. I buy about 50 to 75 pills and then buy a Centrum vitamin pills and throw the vitamins out and replace with V. Never been questioned and have done this about 8 times.
