I would suggest using Don's Travel Agency for tickets anywhere in Brazil. He passes onto you the exact internet rate that you can get if you have a brazilian credit card.
I paid 184R each way to BH from GIG (Rio). Same exact ticket in the airport was going to cost me 225. You can only fly international to international. Oceania is the only airlines that does domestic to domestic but it is about 500 each way.
Taxi is about 75R from Belo CONFINS to BH downton center.
I suggest taking the bus. Very easy, as you depart the arrival area, go to your right. You will see a big red and white ticket booth. Tickets are 15.50 one way. The trip was about 40 minutes, 40 Km away. There are taxis waiting to take you to your hotels, i paid and additional 15R to go to Promenade BH Platinum.

Sorry, I made mistake...you must go to your LEFT as you leave baggage pickup, you will see the red and white ticket booth
