My buddies and I checked this place out last night. My buddies speak Portuguese and I only speak English and Spanish. Only one Spanish speaker, but she was a stunner from Buenos Aires. Some of the locals inside said that routine prices were about R$ 200-300 inside the club and R$ 600 for take-out. The point here is that the comments of you overpaying were not personal attacks, but rather comments to your post. It is important to set price expectations in a particular country for new and unexperienced mongers that visit new regions.

Yes, there are high priced places with fixed prices... personally any places that is high priced to begin with, then every little thing has to be negotiated is in my opinion a place to avoid. That is just my own personal preference.

Each city is different - Sao Paulo certainly cannot be compared to Rio, and other places in Brazil (like Fortaleza). From a mongering perspective Rio and Fortaleza are hard to beat.

I was unaware of the HJ in Sao Paulo business, however, if you are paying R$600 anywhere in Brasil do Sul, you are getting absolutely robbed. Not that places like Curitiba and Porto Alegre are super cheap, because they are not, especially compared to the level of service that can be achieved in Rio or Fortaleza as mentioned by Lovingmarvin. The high end Boates like Class or Grute Azul have some stunners, but the price is typically R$250 and this does not include the clip joint drink prices and the ingresso or cabine cost...

Just to be clear, the so-called massage places, which run the gamut on price, are distinct from the prives or casas, where everything, with the possible exception of anal, is included in the price. In reality there is not that much of a difference between prives and massage places in terms of where you end up sex wise, although the massage places usually begin with a massage. And, as before, the higher-end massage places do not include sex in the base price, although the less expensive ones typically do.

I suppose I should add that as best as I can tell, many of the married Brasileiros prefer to only have a hand-job at the massage places so even though they are "entitled" to more, they don't take it. There appears to be a rather embarrassing caveat though; from what I have heard from a couple of providers (and I've also seen someone else post this on CH) many Brasileiros want to have dildos shoved up their asses as part of the massage sessions. I'm not ready to bet the farm this information is correct, but I have heard it enough to suspect it is.

And I hope none of you are going to say anything along the lines of gringos who have done business with Brasileiros might be willing to shove an inanimate object up their asses for free, because saying that would be wrong.

I think the whole point of CH is for guys to realize what the other experiences have been in order to compare their own......whether they are good, bad, right or wrong.

How about updating the information in Sao Paulo? What's the going rate at Misterium? In-house and out-call?

The reason no one posts much about Curitiba is that not too many of us venture there. Not a real tourist or mongering spot, so unless you're in town on business or something, you most likely will never go there. I know a few Curitibanas and a few from other places in Parana', but in general, you don't see very many GdPs from there in Rio these days.

As to the rest, if Copa thinks you overpaid, you definitely did. As to the pompous asshole stuff, at least you've achieved self-realization. Congratulations.

There is nothing worse than going in one of these places and seeing some gringo throwing around money, just because he has it. No matter the location, those people that work in those bars, girls and staff, just look at you as a big giant ATM, more so than normal. And in my opinion, they actually loose respect for people like that because they just think you are a dumbass for overpaying for everything, whether its overpriced bottles of liquor, overpriced food, or in this case, overpriced poon.

There is another side of our hobby that is never discussed on this board. Business clients. Quite often, and certainly in Sao Paulo, I would say 1/2 of the guys at least are on expense account. I have seen a lot the Brazilian guys taking their Japanese suppliers to Cafe Foto. When these guys are on expense account, they are much more liberal with their money. OPM, I think it is called.

This occurs to a lesser degree in Rio, but it happens here as well. So when you complain about tourist overpaying, you are overlooking an even larger category of price inelasticity.
