Ok Mongers, I am in CTG as we speak. So far it has been an interesting time. Hoping to ask you guys a serious of questions to determine if I've been overpaying or right on the money.

To begin, Mery and Juan were great to talk to and discuss apartments. Ultimately I decided to go with one of Mery's apartments in Mirador.

Because this was my first time, Mery sent a driver to come pick me up. It was supposed to be ERIC, but he was busy and he sent a brother. Mery suggested 30,000 ($18) for the trip and yet he took 50,000 ($30) and didn't give me any change. First sign of being cheated. Did I overpay?

On the other hand, the taxis have been great. A set fee of 5,000 ($3). Sweet.

I've paid varying costs for a beer (Aquilla). At LDV, I paid 7,500 ($5) to 2,500 ($1.50) at a small restaurant. Are all the casas as expensive for a simple cervesa?

I think I've had good luck with the Mujeres. I Met a nice one named Camila in LDV around 3AM. She was 34 and reasonably cute. The place was clearing out and she was probably being very reasonable. I got her for 170,000 ($100). She was great. After the shower she went right to the BBBJ. I had to pull her away to get to the real deal. After a little while in the bedroom, she wanted to move to the shower, then the toilet so on and so forth. Then she wanted me to CIM. From reading DPs accounts, I got super lucky. Sounds like a resonable price right?

Here's where I screwed up. I ended up heading to the beach. Some guy (I forget his name) found me and latched onto me. As I was heading with him to a tent, ole Tony #1 ran up and tried to take me away. They got into a fight and I ended up staying with the original guy. Had I remembered Tony's name (I should have after readng all your postings), I would told the other guy "no gracias." Basically this guy was both good and bad. He made sure my stuff was protected. He brought me drinks, and he made sure people didn't harass me too much (or so I thought). But I walked away about 250,000 ($150) ligher. Here's what I spended it on:

Cabana: 70,000 (included 2 cervasas, 1 rum & coke)
2 Necklaces: 120,000 (stupid me)
Food: 25,000 (this guy tricked me)
Towel: 30,000 (crap, why didn't I bring one)
Tips: 30,000 (he was a big guy and insisted)

I'd like to avoid this guy and get back to Tony. Any suggestions?

Food was more expensive that I thought! A simple Arroz Con Pollo was 12,000 ($8). Drinks at the same restaurant was 20-25,000. Are those good prices?

Thanks Hombres!!

You are not doing welll at all. The taxi from the airport should only cost 15K. The 5K to Centro is right. The beach stuff is crazy. Just tell the guy no, but Tony will probably hear how you overpaid and try the same the next time.

I never use these guys on the beach. I usually walk and stop a an open place a little past tony's spot.

Have dinner at Risquismo in Laquito, 30K for a steak and beer.

Had dinner at Riquismo's last night and it was great. Just 30,000 was just fine. I've also foiud some cheaper places to eat so I am quickly figuring this out.

I think I'm avoiding the beach from now on. By the way, does anyone else pay for a cabana or just stupid me?

Went to Tu Candela's last night around 11PM and its was dead. Just locals couples. Then I walked over to Isis and it has about 14 ladies. Most were cute. In an hour the place was packed.

I ended up being approached by this beautiful 21 year old named Angelica. She looked like a little Beyonce. I negotiated with her for 2 hours for 200,000. I was amazed on how strict their process was. I almost walked out but she was so hot.

Took her back to my place and she was serios GFE. We kissed and danced and then she practically demanded BBBJ. She also liked the finger in the A$$. Anyway, it was amazing. I tried to get her number, but she said Isis has her totally lcoked down. We'll see if I can find her again.

Question: Are all the girls in Isis on contract? I saw some come in later in the night that looked like freelancers.

Anywhere else worth my try?

I was just in CTG this past Fri/Sat. Tony was begging me to use his services, but I walked away, and I don't need him as I speak fluent Espanol. Yes, you did overpay, but you'll learn.

Foodwise, I go to CTG for seafood. If you like fried red snapper, from Riquisimos walk towards the Hilton and look for a quaint little restaurant named Julia's. The owner's name is Claudia. Her menu is not extravagant, but the food is good in the 20K/30K pesos range.

Chicas wise, I got quickes for 50K, and one all- nighter for 150K plus 15K for taxi fare. But, it really helps that I speak the lingo.

Enjoy the rest of your stay!

oh man. great job. I am seriously lacking in that area.

Well as it turns out I found another Tony that lurks around the Hilton hotel. He asked to set me up with Chicas and around 5pm, it sounded interesting. After about an hour wait, he brought 3 girls to my building. They were disasterous looking so I said no. He promised to do better in an hour and delivered.

I was introduced to Laura. Not sure if this is DPs Laura but her body was a 10, face was a 9.5. She was ridiculously gorgeous and had a serious hard body. The one problem was that she was a little loco in lacabeza.

When she first realized I had a computer, she wanted to check email, She did so and returned phone calls for 30 minutes.

She also kept it extremely professional. No GFE, although she did BBBJ. Then clearly wanted me to get it over with. I'd rate her a 6.

That night I went to LDV again to see what was happening. There were a few hot ones. One girl was tall, thin and gorgeous. However, her short stubby friend jumped on me right away. I tried to make a swap, but my lack of english wasn't helping. So I abandoned her for a local looking to have a good time.

Her name was Angela and she was a student finishing up her last semester. 5'6 great body and beautiful curly hair (body: 7, Face: 8). I should assume she was not a pro, because when I called her over, she got a little freaked out. Then I walked over to her and she got more comfortable. She was reasonable in bed, but all GFE. Frankly she probably didn't know much else.

Tonight I'm onto pleyclub just to check it out.

Generally it is 2K for a carpa and 1K for a chair. The airport run is 14K and 4K to Centro during the day. It's 5K at night. If you walk about 3 blocks from the airport, the fare to Laguito drops to about 8K, maybe 9.

If you want anything to eat or drink at the beach, get up and get it yourself or negotiate for what you want and pay immediately. Never run a tab.

I never tip the touts for chicas. The chica tips the tout out of her end. If you want to tip, give it to the girl.

You can get hot street girls for 50 to 80K ST.

Man TomTom, I wish I was you. I couldn't even come close to pulling off the prices you have.

Man I really need to learn the language to get by.

However, Pleyclub was interesting. The cabbie saw his as a huge oppportunity to capitalize on me, but the club was interesting. Finally found a very shapely honey named Angela. For $200,00, she was great in the bed.

Then I went to Tu Candela and there was a convention in town so it was a little crowded with Hombres.

Of course back to LDV where I found a hot Morena named Paulina (real name Angelina). For $200,000 she spent the night, we had sex three time. Times 2 and 3, she asked me I didn't ask her!! And she really enjoyed Anal. In the morning however, I couldn't get her to leave.

Last night in CTG, where should I go? Ho much time do I need for the airport? Is there a departure tax?

By Tomtom33 on Thursday, April 17, 2008 - 03:43 am:  Edit

You have to be at the airport 3 hours prior to departure. Some people have gotten away with less time, but I would not risk it.

There is a departure tax but some airlines have started to include it in the ticket price. I believe that Avianca now does this. If you just have one of the porters handle you bags, he will steer you correctly. You need to stop at a window to check on your passport before you get in the check-in line. The porter will direct you to that window. A normal tip for the porter is 2K.

If you need to pay the departure tax(I think it's around US$30), you can pay in pesos or dollars. You can also pay by credit card. However, to pay by credit card, you have to go to another window to do so. Then you have to return to get your boarding pass.
