Well the day will be here soon (Tuesday). I appreciate everyones insight on my last thread. Just wanted to hear any last suggestions you all may have. I will be in Rio for seven days. Havent been in 2 yrs so Im sure a few things have changed (according to what I read here). Let me know the hot spots, what spots to avoid as well if anyone will be around to maybe have a drink or two.

I may have missed it somewhere on here but if you guys would let me know which days (during the week) are considered the best at the locations you recommend I would appreciate it.

Centro termas are good M-F.
Zona Sul termas are good M-F.
L'uomo, Solarium and MC are good Sat. and Sun.
Help is a matter of opinion. Some, like me, think it's never good. Some like it Thur.-Sat.

I arrive Tues. as well. I expect it to be pretty quiet.

I like quiet. Maybe I can get pricing from garotas due to the lack of business/mongers? I would assume that Rio is busier during warmer months. Right or wrong?

Inside Help has been horrible during the week - best to stick to Friday and Saturday. But deals can be found at Terraco Atlantico (Restaurant in front of 'Help') throughout the week - just don't go in during the week(It will be a waste of money & time).

I think the Balcony Bar on Copa Beach is probably the best place for some lower priced programs. Pretty steady scene throughout the week, after 10:00pm. A few gems to be found, but lots of duds as well. If the girl lives far away and it is late (in some cases as late as 3 in the morning), I have pulled a couple of freebies from there as well.

Make sure to check out the termas based on Bwana's schedule above. After a few good sessions at 4x4 (which is in centro) it usually doesn't matter anymore what happens at night - it just becomes gravy :-)

I would say 4x4 is hot, MC and 65 are not. Solarium/Luomo in the middle. Centaurus is good if you want to pay $250 for a brasilian puta for 40 min. TA/Help are cold (not recommended at all). And I would take centro apt. girls over beach girls/agency girls in the early day.

Everything in general sucks on Monday. If you went to a place like 4x4 on late Monday afternoon, you would most probably be the only gringo so that might be a good thing.

Th/Fri is generally a sardine-can at 4x4, after 9pm there is not really recommended.

This coming Tuesday (8/4) is festa time at 4x4. Check the website, but the girls get dressed up and most of them get drunk. It is usually pretty fun.

Termas Cancun usually runs a few specials like 2-1 drinks. They switch it up, sometimes Mon or Fri.

The place is only recommended after 6pm or so.

Saturday night is the best night for Help. If you don't find good girls that night, then you won't any other day of the week. Supply of gringos is down and consequently, the number of garotas is down as well as they have taken off to Europe.

For Sunday, I think Luomo is better choice over Solarium and MC.

There is Cafe/Praia 400 out in Barra. It is a M-F type place. If you tired of Centro places and changing into a robe, it is a decent place to hang out. It is also open late - 2am. Perhaps a Thurs. evening place.

And don't forget the Centro apt. places. Most open at 9 in the morning M-F. Probably a better option than wasting your time looking for garotas at the beach.

I don't think you will see much of a change in the termas from 2 years ago. In fact, probably see some familiar faces. As for the TA/Help scene, because 1.57 blows so does that place. Besides the shitty exchange, you are going to find prices on everything have gone up a good 20% or more. Like 4R for a juice now. I would say be prepared to spend probably 50% more than you did 2 years ago.....but, the girls still fuck as good as ever (so that is upside).

Thanks! I really appreciate your response. It gives me somewhat of an outline as to whats hot/cold on certain days. The math I came up with also indicated that I would spend roughly 50% more than on my last trip. It sucks that TA/Help have fallen off so bad.... I think the termas are going to be the best bet for me on this trip. From what other posters has said, the beach scene has dropped off as well. I guess its just a crap shoot.
