Salome, pronounced "sahl-oh-MAY", is located at the intersection of Cordoba and Billinghurst. If your cab driver does not know where Salome on Cordoba is, have him take you to the corner of "Cordoba y Pueyrredon", and then direct him to take you down Cordoba 7 more blocks(siete quadras). Salome will be located on the far right corner and will be easy to spot with it's neon sign and gold and silver lion statues guarding the entrance along with the bouncer. It is also across from a restaurant/club called Habana VIP.

There is no cover, so just walk right in to Salome and take a seat at the bar or on a couch. The place is small with only a handful of seats at the bar and small loveseats and chairs around. The ladies will either be seated or standing to the left in a small area where they seem to hang out. There is a staircase leading down beyond this. Apparently there is a dance floor down here, but I found my lady of the evening rather quickly and did not explore this area.

Salome offers a relatively low number of ladies, but a few of them that do work there are quite attractive and can spend time with you for a reasonable rate. I lost my notes on the prices I paid, but I believe I paid one between 100 - 150 pesos for a visit with me to a short time hotel nearby. I think I paid about 30-35 pesos for the hotel.

Outside we hailed a taxi to take us to the short time hotel. I had a wonderful time with my Salome lady and plan on visiting her and the club again.

Pros: Prices, No cover
Cons: Small Place, Small Selection, Lack of nearby alternatives

I can recommend this place as an occasional alternative to the Recoleta scene.

Some remarks to the forum:

1)PLEASE STICK TO THE LOCAL PRICES THERE. Salome is a place for local mongers, who cannot pay Recoleta prices. Don't spoil the girls offering ar$50 more just because it doen't mean much to us, the tourists.

2) Salome is pronounced Sah-loh-meh

3) Downstairs, there is a kind of dancing stage (very small) surrounded by love seats and a bar. The place is decorated like a ship (fake fish-eye windows and lot of wood). Nice to seat and talk, since upstairs is usually louder, less busy.

4) If someone hits Salome, look for a tall (5'8") curly brunette called Debora. She is one of my favorites: Very sweet, very skilled and a great attitude. However, she doesn't speak english.

In the last 10 days I was at Salome three times. The first, with Ezy, at an early 10:15 p.m. where we both struck paydirt immediately among the dozen or so chicas. A couple of days later, I went at 10:30, sat till 11:15, during which 4 skanks, one of whom was at least 50, came in. I left to hook up with other mongers elsewhere. The final time I showed up at 10:15, and the sweet young thang from the first visit came in the door, up to me at the bar and said hello by rubbing her pussy on my knee. We departed promptly.

I've heard that Salome has heavy action later than the times I was there, but just don't know. I agree that it is important to keep the prices low...it's like a rather unspoiled beach right now.

shhh. Don't talk about this little jewel of a club or before you know it gringos with more money than sense will start overpaying and pooof....we will be paying Recoleta prices.....

Since I didn't read anything here about Salome before I added it, I wasn't familiar with the prices. I also don't know if I paid more than local since I don't recall exactly what I paid.

The pronunciation I described is how the taxi driver pronounced it with emphasis on "MAY" (rhyming with DAY) when he couldn't understand my original pronunciation of "sah-LOWM"

I saw a girl from here. She was pretty. I went with UWPhoto and Kick Stand. It was my first time here and I never even heard much about it. I never checked out this section. The girl quoted 150 pesos for 2 hours. I saw her again another night.

Most of the girls I wouldn't have done. Probably hit or miss place.

By 2 AM we left towards Salomé. Same prices as before (ar$10 the drinks for men and ar$20 for women), with a crew of 20 + girls, few of them doable. I wanted to show my old favorita to the guys (Debora) but she was on duty. Dh and Viktor seemed to like the place and Viktor attracted a tall, beautiful girl who seemed to be a nice prospect for the night. I left the place by 4AM to go home.

Salome is permanently closed, has been for a while.
