Club 53 is a relatively new 3rd tier termas in Copa. It's located on Sá Ferreira, 53, almost directly across the street from Jag's Favela Bar (Bar do Jaguar). It opened in May.

Entrada is 20 reais, which includes 3 cervejas or refrigerantes. They have prices for 30, 40 and 60 minute programs. An hour goes for R$105 if I recall correctly.

I have not scouted it out thoroughly. The afternoon I dropped in I saw 8 girls, two of whom were doable, and 3 of whom were Jag material . They have a pool table you can shoot at for free, and for the month of August (this was also true in July) they are offering free entrada before 4:00.

Since I didn't do a program, I don't know what the rooms are like. They saw they have porn and music in the rooms, but beyond that you'll need a report from someone else.

The owner also owns Club 22 in Copa.

They are open 2-12 on M-F and 2-10 on Sat.

That said, since a lot of guys stay on that block and will thus walk by it multiple times every day, I think everyone staying at the Favela Arms Apartments I and II needs to go in and do a program and tell us what it's like.

Not even across the street. Same side of the street as 91. As you leave Zona Sul market and turn left onto Sá Ferreira, the termas is the first door on the left.

While I was down in Rio last month, quite a few of my buddies at the favela bar (it's real name is Kip Hauk-- I know, it sounds Chinese but it ain't) suggested I go over there to relax and have some fun. I never took them up on it because, as everyone knows, Lucy sometimes shows up at the favela bar unannounced.

I could just see it; I visit Club 53, Lucy arrives at the favela bar asking for me, and everyone points across the street at the new terma. Lucy would kill me. Maybe that's why they suggested I go there in the first place. Ya think?

Actually, I'll make sure to prep the local gentry there and anytime Lucy comes by and you're not there, they'll point at the new putaria automatically, regardless of where you are.

Generally speaking, if you're not at the favela bar by yourself, the only other place you go without Lucy is Villa Mimosa, so from a karma perspective my plan is flawless.

I understand they recruited girls from VM to work at this place. The local favelada girls can't be seen going in there, so they truck in some talent from VM. In my book that makes this a "must-do" for Jag.

The late night VM garotas do the early shift at 53, and at 8 return to VM. The early shift VM girls work the late shift at 53. The Help talent all comes from Jag's neighborhood: Pavãozinho.

I checked out the place

R$ 20 admission give you 3 drinks. Real cheap skates might try to grab a girl instantly and request a waiver, but that will not be easy.

In addition
R$ 55 for 20 minutes, R$ 75 for half hour. R$ 85 for 45 minutes, around 120 for an hour.

The gringo price is usually higher. R$ 100 for half an hour, 20 of which goes to the guy who dragged you there, which leaves R$ 80 instead of 75 for the half hour. And they traditionally don't like to tell gringo's the lowest short time rate.

They are the same guys who run 22 (on corner of Siqueira Campos) and their family has run various brothels in Copacabana, including famous 204 at NS Copacabana 583 (?)

The girls are decent, depending on taste. I saw 2 reasonably young and hard bodied blacks, there was a decent looking 25 year old slim blonde. Plus a few huge assed fat chicks.

The rooms are a lot better then the basic rooms in maior termas. They have a real bed made of concrete so it does not make noise, a real shower, .....

Stopped in for a look tonight. Entrance reduced to 12r which gets you 3 cervejas. Nasty garota sat next to me. She didn´t get my hints to go away so I had her conjugate a few irregular verbs for me to pass the time. The grammatical stress was too much for her and she left me in peace after 2 minutes. Graça a deus.

B.S thats funny about the low price statement you made. That explains what happened back in April at the 204. I sessioned with a garota who quoted the low price ($55r)for 20 mins or whatever. When I went to pay the guy taking the payment he said it was $75r. But then I told him how much the girl quoted me and he took it without argument. But I could tell he wasn't too happy and was probably going to counsel the garota about the gringo price.
