Hey guys,

great little forum you guys have going. A couple of buddies and I are playing a trip down central or south America.

Though we do want to enjoy the sites, we want to "monger" as well,

couple of quick questions I have.

1. What city/country has the best looking girls?
2. What city/country can our dollar go furthest?
3. What city/country is the most luxurious, as far as service, lodging and conditions?
4. What city/country has the best non-mongering activities.

Where would you recommend to go while factoring in all those questions.

Nxi, you committed the worst newbie faux pas possible - asking to be served up tailored responses to all your questions without doing a thing to find it on your own. Given Cat's response, I'd say you have gotten off lightly with this one. Congratulations.

So here is how you should go about doing this: spend lots of time on this site. Research the trip reports section extensively. Read multiple trip reports for the country or countries you are interested in. If there are guides available for that country, consume them too.

When you see certain places mentioned in reports that interest you, then go into the "Topics" section, find the continent and country that pertain to you, then dig through the categories. There is a ton of information in there. While there, keep clicking and consume more posts. It all adds up.

Also scan the chat board for many weeks back. Once you have done all of this (seriously, spend 10-15 hours reading), and you can hone your questions so that they are very specific (not "what country should I go to"), THEN post those questions, and I'm sure many of the lovely souls who inhabit the South America boards will be glad to assist you.

Well, I don't know jack about Central and South America (except what I read on here), but I can tell you that whatever countries answer your questions 2 & 3 - they are usually mutually exclusive.

It's poor countries where the dollar goes furthest. And you don't usually find the "most luxurious" service, lodging and (especially) conditions in those countries.

My Humble Opinion,

1. What city/country has the best looking girls? [In Latina America, the Colombians and Brazilians]
2. What city/country can our dollar go furthest? [Colombia]
3. What city/country is the most luxurious, as far as service, lodging and conditions? [Likely RIO or Costa Rica. Panama uses the dollar and has great infrastructure and hotels/casinos]
4. What city/country has the best non-mongering activities. [For me, Costa Rica-sport is great for fishing, rain forests, many volcanos, pristine lakes. Gorgeous country overall. I also like RIO and Colombia]
