Decided to add to the arsenal of possibilities in Rio by checking out some massage places. The first I went to www.esteccenter.kit.net offered an attractive brunette for a therapeutic one hour massage for 50reals per hour. I was only interested in a massage and thought that was all I was going to get as the hostess stressed the word "therapeutic". I received a full massage plus a manual release after being rubbed to a frenzied state. The address for this place is 776 Rua Santa Luzia, apts 901 / 903 - Centro.

I went to another one at 156 Rio Branco, apt 515. This one had 8 good quality girls. They offered a two girl one hour 4 handed special massage for 105 reals which included, as they put it, complementary oral and vaginal penetration. It's a bargain and worth a try.

There are many more and you'll find them in the oglobo classifieds.

Stayawayjoe, what is the name of the massage place at 156 Rio Branco and how far is this place from Copa in a taxi, what would the fare run,is it in a safe area? Have you heard anything good about belprazer massage it has a fairly good website?

I don't think it has a name. A taxi costs anywhere from 11 to 15 reals or you can take the metro from copacabana for 1.47 reals each way and get off at Cinelandia or Caricoa train station. It is perfectly safe. Rio Branco is the main busy artery in Centro. Can't comment on belprazer as I have never been there.

They will only speak Portuguese. I consider the metro the safest form of transportation in Rio. You can enter the metro either at the first stop in copa nearby the corner of Siqueira Campos and Rua Barata Ribeiro. Make sure and check out the tiny brothels in Centro that others have mentioned.

Vila Mimosa is worth seeing, but not worth taking girls. (whoever has better information, email me 1234567@innocent.com and let's take a trip to VM and you show me around)

You get much better deals at downtown short time massage parlors. Especially they are much cleaner!!

I have a list of these establishments. Some are very nice, considering the price. Be forewarned that they are not as clean as Centaurus, and most of the girls are dogs. Even worse then Help! But a few amazing girls can be found. One US tourist I took there said he found the best girl he has seen on his trip for R$ 30.

I know another massage parlor in Copacabana where you get girls for R$ 30. At closing time the girls all go to Help and charge R$ 200.

I recommend Vila Mimosa only for satisfying curiosity. It is not worth getting girls there, because you find them cleaner and cheaper in downtown brothels.

You find them in O Dia classifieds, which can be found with some patience at www.odia.com.br (hint: find classifieds or Taqui, then Casa, then termas. Pick a busy weekday like Thursday or Friday.

Or get the O Dia newspaper and find the ads in the classifieds. The best deals you usually get only when you bring the newspaper to prove the advertised rate.

All the following are downtown. Take the metro to Carioca station, from there you can walk. Cinelandia and Uruguaiana stations will do too.

To make it simple, just go during office hours daytime to "Travessa do Ouvidor # 37". It changed, it now has a termas like place at the bottom (second floor) and rooms further upstairs. They start at R$ 20.

Music blares, you can buy a drink, they have a bit of an aircon and good fans to make the “rooms” quite tolerable. First floor starts at R$ 12 for 12 minutes, second floor R$ 10 for 10 minutes (I found a totally cute 18 year old there). For those who cannot afford R$ 10, the 3rd floor offers a R$ 9.99 promo!!

Always prepare an excuse if you make a mistake and if the place is not a brothel. You are looking for a travel agency or whatever!!

Bring your own 2 towels, one to dry off, one beach towel to put underneath. Sheets certainly are not changed every time a new customer comes Note that most girls give only covered blow jobs!! Bring some extra thin condoms for that purpose! You can probably bribe them into doing bj without condom for a few more R$$.

It is very normal to check out a massage parlor and then to leave "vou dar mais uma voltinha" ou "volto mais tarde".

Not all of them may be closed, remember some only have one or two girls working sometimes. So, if they're in the middle of program, they won't be able to answer the door. It always pays to check twice, and seeing as 156 has what seems like at least one massagem per floor, the next time in re-check a few to see if anyone's around.

Catacony makes a good point. The ones that didn´t answer when i buzzed the door were added to the above list after a 2nd attempt a week or two later during regular business hrs/days.
