The desire to marry a favorita seems actually to be quite common by monger's visting Brazil. Since this is thread and the link that was provided is for marriage in Brazil, I can only hope that it is for the purposes of gaining residence and not actually hopes of establishing a normal long term relationship. Not sure how guys fall deeply in love with girls that fuck hundreds of guys, take obvious advantage of their gringo boyfriends and subsequent husbands, just because she is good fuck. If you want to live in Brazil and want to use your favorita to get residence, just be aware that you will need to keep a good relationship with her for quite some time until the process is ended. Once your residence has been published and officially approved - about one or so year after your put in the papers - she will once again have to go to Policia Federal with you to start the second part of the residence process.

So, in the meantime you are stuck trying to keep some hooker happy that is obviously not in love with you, but will want to take as much advantage of the situation as possible.

For crying out loud, just do not accumulate wealth, property, etc, in Brazil while you are married...keep the details of our life outside Brazil as secret as possible. Be prepared to be sucked dry (versus sucked off, the way it should be) financially speaking in the meantime....

Roadglide, I know a girl who did something like that too, she lived in Cali as well. It took her 5 years to get her green card or permanent visa, not sure which. Within 1 year of getting her green card, she divorced her husband moved to Vegas, married her brasilian boyfriend (Her first love, supposedly found her on Orkut after all these years. Yeah right!), brought him to America and got pregnant! 2 years later, she is now pregnant with thier 2nd kid!

The thing that surprised me, her X-american husband is still friends with her to this day. I see him leaving messages on her okrut/facebook page all the time. Thumper; They may have made a deal prior to her coming over here. I know two people in the Brazilian community that have married only for the green card. Hell I had one girl introduce me to her "husband" he was a flaming faggot!! I don't remember how that deal was made, but it was only so she could get her card.
