I'm headed to Rio next month - will be staying at the Caesar Park.
Any tips on the best way to find the action ? My preference would be to bring a girl back to my hotel room

the beach directly across the street from Caesar Park is an ideal location for daytime action. Should be able to also get names/numbers for other opportunities. - CFK

Other then the action in front of Caesar's Park, most of the activity takes place in Copa....around the Leme area (at the end of Copa). Outside the somewhat small scene at the beach in front of Caesar's Park Hotel, you will find some working girls in Emporio (Rua Maria Quiteria com Prudente Moraes) very late (around 1-2:00am - Wednesday towards the weekend is best). A regular crowd, but working girls almost always mixed in..... just look around and try to make eye contact. Any girl that is overly approachable most likely is working..... Another place in Ipanema, with some GDP's mixed in with regular folks is Shenanigans Irish Pub (Rua Visconde de Piraja, 112 - close to the General Osario Metro station). Shenanigans is good after 10:00-11:00pm, until about 2:00 when they close.
The action in Ipanema is much more low key and concentrated around spots where there are a lot of gringo's....working girls mixed in with regular non-working ones. Usually they tend to stand out as they are the most friendly and approachable
If you are first timer in Rio, it would probably be easiest to go straight to Copacabana where the action is more in your face - for example, in the Balcony Bar (after 11:00pm) it is 99% working girls so no guessing. Also Copa Beach has tons of working girls strolling up and down the beach looking for customer's.... again, any girl that makes easy eye contact, flirts, etc, is usually available.
