Hello fellow Mongers, just wanted to post my recent trip to beautiful Acapulco because there does not seem to be any recent information for anyone wanting to go. I stayed at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess hotel which is a fantastic hotel but only problem is that it is about 25 minute taxi ride to where the action is which is downtown Acapulco. Hotel taxis are around 200 pesos ($15.00) each way but the drivers also are willing to wait for up to 2 hours & take you back to the hotel for another 200 pesos. I flew in late Saturday night & asked about the strip clubs Tavares, Chica's, Foxys he said only Tavares is open now due to cruise ships stop in mid may & he also said it is around 3000 - 5000 pesos rate for a woman there ($225.00 - $400.00) I said thats crazy so he took me to the brothel Rebecca's that is in a residential neighborhood up in the hills near downtown. Rebecca's is set up as a comfortable villa with a center area set up with tables & chairs with these elderly waiters who serve drinks. This place is very quiet & safe, apparently they pay off the local police so they are left alone. I arrived there around 2 am & 6 woman lined up in front of me. 3 were too chunky & plain, more for local mexican mans taste who prefer the chunky meranos. One was young & petite, another had some nice curves but I chose the slender one with long legs and nice natural breasts. I said how much & she said 1600 pesos ($120.00), I countered with 1200 ($90.00) & she said okay. I paid the waiter the full amount at the bar & the rooms are right there. She was amazing, very clean & fairly tight (no kids), it was unhurried & gave a great uncovered BJ & numerous positions, she let me photograph & videotape on my Iphone the whole time, I was so impressed I gave her a 400 peso tip! The bar tab was standard $10 girls drinks $ 3 beers, I don't remember exactly. Rebecca's is open 24/7 but very few woman on Mondays/Tuesdays, anytime you go they will wake up the woman from their rooms. I rested one day then got another hotel taxi & the driver said I know another place you may like other then Rebecca's, he drove me downtown & across from the Hard Rock Cafe there is a small entrance to stairs leading up to the Stress Canta Bar, its a small upstairs room with about 12 woman sitting around, this i definitely a locals place because all the guys were mexican men, all the woman are very young but some were really cute. The woman here appear less experienced and appear to be from the poorer rural areas of mexico compared to the more experienced woman at Rebecca's but sometimes I prefer that. I immediately chose the waitress wearing a tube top & daisy dukes, she had huge natural tits. She was inexperienced & nervous sitting beside me & the other experienced woman had to whisper to her what to do (make sure he uses a condom, blah blah blah), the rate was 1200 pesos ($90 bucks), this includes the room that is upstairs, she gave me uncovered BJ and was great, I tipped her 200 pesos. There were around 3 other cute young woman there that I would have liked next time. My driver said the new girls rotate at 7 pm, I tipped the bouncer/doorman 50 pesos & went back to hotel to lay by the beach. The next day I took the Estrella De Oro bus line to Taxco (Silver mining city), it is 4 hours one way from Acapulco, one way is 230 pesos ($18.00) much cheaper than the $100.00 per person tour prices. We arrived back in downtown late night & I decided to try Tavares strip club, what a mistake. As soon as I entered the music was so loud & booming I could not even think. The cover charge is 100 pesos & does not even include a free beer. The waiters are all dressed up in silly mining outfits scooting around on rollerblades, the woman are definitely young & hot (8 - 9's) One young woman sat down & immediately said 130 pesos or $10.00 for a lap dance, I said let me order a beer first, the woman are really pushy. I told the waiter I don't want a stupid lap-dance I want to bang one of these hot little minxes, he directed me to the bartender/manager he said the woman is 2000 pesos & the bar charge is 1000 - 2000 pesos so $250 - $350, I said forget it. What does he mean 1000 TO 2000 pesos? Why would one bar tab be more than another, AND you have to pay another 200 pesos for the hotel room, ripoff. Someone told me this place is mafia run, I just had a bad vibe about the place, like they could charge you whatever they wanted & you would have no choice but to pay, the people were not friendly like most people in Acapulco & there was a huge security guard, I paid for my cerveza as quickly as possible & left & told the driver to take me to Rebeccas where I had the same beautiful woman from last time. So I banged three woman there on a 4 day trip, I was spending pesos like water so probably good that I only stayed 4 days, also my battery was pretty much drained by that time. My driver said there are local newspaper ads where woman charge around 600 pesos & meet you at a downtown hotel but there are no photos & too sketchy for me. Well thats my trip, hope this helps, I'm probably gonna try Cabo or Cancun next time. Adios!

Toro, gracias por los datos.
Hey, you figured out the hard way, like I did on my first trip to Puerto Vallarta, that you need to find out where the best action is, which is usually right down in the older parts of the city, and stay there. You'll save, save, save.
I've also found that it's a lot easier to grab busses from there and the taxis are cheaper than the rip off artists who hang near the fancier resort areas farther out.
If I go to Acapulco, I'm definitely staying right downtown, and I bet there's something decent for $25 USD. From there, walk to the girlie joints or take the bus out to the fancier places.
From what I've heard Acapulco is pretty damn huge but busses are plentiful. I may pull the trigger on that in September...
When you're right in the middle of the action, you rarely need to even muck with taxis...

Thanks El toro! Always appreciate reports about the less covered destinations in Mexico.
Just curious, I came close to visiting Acapulco a couple of years ago but was going to go with a chica from Ensenada, and the research I did indicates the place can be hot and oppressively humid pretty much year round with some slight variation. I assume your hotel had adequate A/C, but what about the taxis and the rooms you did sessions in at these outlying casas de citas that you reported about?

The Acapulco Princess is great. The grounds, restaurants and clubs are excellent. However, as El Toro points out the location is remote, but has it's benefits. The beach is somewhat private, therefore fewer touts, etc. Beaches in town are packed and a headache. Town is a 30' ride or drive if you rent a car. The drive is pleasant and scenic. The only other place I would consider staying is Las Brisas, another excellent place with private pools for each resident and on the outskirts of town.

Acapulco is not a cheap destination. I chose it for the attractions as well as the Mongering. It appears to be a vacation destination for rich Mexicans being in close proximity to Mexico city (3 hour drive away), I did not go to Mexico City though. I stayed at the The Fairmont Acapulco Princess because I got a room for $75.00 night on Expedia (Normally $150.00 night & $200.00 Saturday). I booked 1 1/2 months in advance. These mega resorts have everything, restaurants, bars, free concierge, tour desk, money changing, ATM's, taxis, buses, etc. The time I went there was a large group of soccer players, HBO Latin models, Ernst & Young, taxi driver says alot of conventions in Acapulco. The lunch buffet is like $30.00, I only ate one $22.00 breakfast buffet there, the rest of my meals I ate at an inexpensive Catina off the resort. You have to walk about 15 minutes just to get out of the resort & the cantina is straigh ahead on the right. Great Green Mole Enchiladas for around $5.00 a plate with $2.00 Cervezas. Theres also a Starbucks & walmart where I bought groceries. The hotels supposedly frown on bringing dates back to the room but the place is so huge with an open lobby the size of a football field no one would notice or care anyway. I do not usually bring a date back to the hotel because as Charlie Sheen says I pay them to leave not stay & my spanish is "unpoco" so nothing to really talk about. There is plenty of inexpensive buses along the main street but I did not know which ones go downtown. In the future I will take buses instead of taxis. Word of advice NEVER book a tour online. I went to AMSTARDMC.com & purchased a deep sea fishing trip for $270.00, they were supposed to pick me up at the lobby at 6:30 am but never showed up. It took the concierge & I over an hour to reach a rep & luckily a nice rep named Liliana told me they never notified the fishing charter, I was extremely lucky that they credited the $270.00 back to my credit card. Fishing tours require at least 4 to 6 people & most of the tours do not have enough people signed up. The hotel was full of beautiful rich Mexican woman with their families. I am sure there is plenty of smaller less expensive hotels downtown but does not have the mega resort feel of The Acapulco Princess & I think I would have gotten bored sitting in a small hotel. The weather is 70's at night & 90 during the day. The taxi drivers said best to visit before May when weather is cooler, from May until Oct weather is hot just like the States. The cruise ships stop in Mid May due to rains & the hotter weather. The beaches are beautiful. The beaches run all along the main street so the beaches are right behind all the hotels no all along the main street. I chose Acapulco over Cabo or Cancun because its a larger city with more Mongering opportunities. In smaller venues you will spend a small fortune trying to take a Chica out of a strip club. The club will charge you a bar fee then you have to pay the Chica so it would be like $250.00. One taxi driver said you can order escorts for $80.00 & they are mostly young college girls but they will not come to the hotel, you have to meet them at a downtown hotel, they are uncomfortable going to a resort hotel. You cannot see a photo but you just tell the taxi driver what your preference is young, spinner, gordito, etc. It appears legit, I saw local police & federales everywhere, I did not see one druggie or vagrant in the city the whole time I was there, the taxi driver said they really cleaned the city up in the last couple years. Orbitz & Expedia will have flight & hotel package deals, you can get a rental car, does not look too difficult but I heard online stories that the local police will stop you for $40.00 bribes if you do any type of traffic violation or look to be a tourist, don't know if that is true or not though. One mistake I will not make again, DO NOT lose or throw away the entry immigration & customs stub they give you when you enter Mexico, you need to show this when you leave Mexico, I was sweating bullets because I lost mine, they have to photo copy my passport & get clearance from the airport director, I thought I was going to be stuck in Mexico or end up paying a $300.00 bribe, luckily the customs lady was very nice (and cute). Next trip Puerta Vallarta or Cabo San Lucas.
