MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Prostitutes in Mexico's Caribbean resort city of Cancun are going the way of soldiers, police and soccer players by donning uniforms for their work.
About 50 prostitutes began using the uniforms -- tight black shorts and yellow tops -- while working Cancun's streets and bars over the weekend in protest of a local council order that they move into a "zone of tolerance" outside the city center.

Local officials said that the women were being led in the protest by an activist of the opposition Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD) and that they apparently picked black and yellow for their uniforms because they were the PRD's colors.

"I don't know if it is a challenge to show us there are many of them and that they are organized," said Guillermo Morales, a senior official in Cancun's city council.

The women work in central Cancun rather than in the vast hotel zone where most foreigners stay for their beach vacations.

Two weeks ago, Cancun's council said the prostitutes would be given five months to move their activities to the "zone of tolerance."

"Neighbors' complaints had increased, so the administration took action on the issue," Morales told Reuters. "They must be moved in a period of no more than five months. ... If not, the authorities will take action."

He said prostitution was tolerated by Cancun's local government, meaning it was neither prohibited nor allowed without restriction

I had to go to Cancun and I was finished with business by 2:30 - had some lunch and took a taxi to the Costa Turquesa hotel; out on the road to Plaza 21. Called the number at cancunescort.com and lo and behold- the girls on the internet ARE the girls that come out to the hotel. Quick and easy; flew home that night with a mile.

OK. It took me a couple of days to get around to this. I spent a few days in Cancun last week. As Ben pointed out, I was with my "one true love" so I did not get a chance to hobby. But I do have some possibly interesting info.

Cancun is not a good place for our sport. Everything is expensive, including girls. However, if you have any game, Cancun is a great place to play. There are always lots of young tourists. American, European, and Mexican. But back to the topic of prostitution. I saw what may be a new option. We were quaffing some brews in a bar Kitty corner from Coco Bongo and across the alley from Daddy O . (All of this in the hotel zone). With my practiced eye, I noticed a group of very young girls, dressed in typical dance club type attire, hanging out on the corner directly across the street from Coco Bongo. Appearance wise there was nothing to separate them from the hundreds of other girls that were passing by. The girls were moving around, but they were not ever really leaving the corner and they seemed to be orbting a Taxi. In spite of a high volume of traffic the Taxi never moved and the girls spent a lot of time talking to the Taxi driver. I know putas when I smell them. My suspicions were immediately piqued. without drawing lots of attention, I pointed them out ot the buddy I was drinking with. deep in their own conversation, our respective companions remained oblivious. with a little more observation we saw several failed negotiations. Then we saw a group negotiation with a front man negotiating for three others. Next thing you know 4 guys and 4 girls are moving down the street and into a Hotel. 10 minutes later one of the girls reappeard and resumed position on the corner. The other 3 reappeared over an hour later. Taking advantage of a bathroom break my buddy investigated with the Taxi driver. Sure enough. Young local girls, $100 per 1 hour session. negotiable. Only on busy weekends when they can lose themselves in all the people going from club to club. I saw 6 girls total. I really doubt they were all 18 so you should be careful. Mostly 5-6 in looks but one particular spinner that on my scale was a solid 9. Since I was under responsible adult supervision, I could not try it out, but maybe someone else can. Padrote( or at least caretaker) is a taxista parked directly in front of the Dady O's building. But I never saw him get involved in negotiations. He was low key, and my buddy said he was pleasant, But he was definitely running the show. Maybe another option. I also heard that they are startinf to get quite a few street girls over on Av. Tulum in town. But I never had a chance to verify.

Cancun in general last weekend was chuck full of Spaniards. Saw several nice Spanish girls on the prowl.

I went to Cancun for Spring Break a few months ago and visited 'veinte uno.' Its a centralized red light district located just outside of the tourist city. The selection was really good. There was a range from very poor to excellent looking locals and more. The only negative aspect of it is that it is pricey, around $300 american dollars. Also, that they rip you off on drinks, charging an outrageous price of $35 dollars for a pitcher of beer. A positive consideration is that touching is OK and private lap dances are about $10-15 dollars. Pretty good!!

One time I asked the taxi driver outside of La Boom for putas. He took me to a strippers apartment and I got to fuck her really cheap. I partied all night with her and it was very cheap. I also like veinte uno. Chilly Willy's is worth the trip.

Was on the penisula for four days during Aug. for a friends wedding did most of the tourist clubs as part of the package deal with the hotel eg. Senior Frog's, Margaritaville, etc. Mostly a frat boy college spring break let's hookup kind of crowd with limited local attendance so not altogether my scene but pleasant to enjoy the mini-Girls Gone Wild atomosphere. Went with two buds out of the hotel zone to "Black Jacks" approx. 300 pesos (30 USD) round trip and 200 pesos cover to enter. We arrived around 6pm and stayed maybe 2-3 hours total. Chica selection improved (per usual) later mostly 5-7's maybe 2 or 3 8's so bought a few full contact lap dances for $20 USD. Too pricey to go "up stairs" at $260 USD for a single hour/shot. Beer's were 4 bucks each and ladies drinks were either $10 or $30. Got a chica's number (Aransa had the best bunta and better english than my spanish also cabbie apparently recognized her name when I showed him the number -- si, senior muy bonita, very expensive, etc.) for call back to hotel next day. She bargained hard and settled for $200 for 2 hours on a lazy Sunday afternoon required bbbj and DATY 3 pops total so for me money well spent. Not as difficult sneaking her past securitas as expected met her at the bus stop within 20 minutes of expected arrival time then walked through the employee parking area straight to the elevator in the sub-basement to the room. Told her to wear bikini, shorts and sandal not hooker wear. Gave her extra 100 pesos propina/cab fare. Worth it considering the other limited mongering opportunities and the high costs, etc.

just returned from cancun....i still hate this place.

forget about looking for a suburban taxi....i saw at least 10 in 5 minutes.

however, the taxi drivers will help.

quick note, shampoo is now called "The One". still expensive.... $18 US to buy a girl a drink, then to go back to a small room anywhere from $100-150US for head and $150 up for full service and a quickie at that.

it is real easy to find the brasilians in the group. this at least will give a little better service, but it is not rio. (see camilla or linda)

you can find "the one" it is in the business alley between the two one ways by hard rock/ dady o's. it is upstairs next to a taco bar. can't miss it.

as for blackjacks, it is a $50 roundtrip cab ride and you can negotiate down to $30 for bj.

Not sure if you tried the downtown area or asking the taxi's for the private girls that they know. I've done that before and although still not cheap ($120-$150 us) it is much cheaper than the clubs with great GFE action.

You have to forget you are in Mexico when going to Cancun. Just imagine US prices because that is the mindset there. I don't really like the hobby scene in Cancun but I really love the ocean there. Yeah, there are a lot of ugly Americans there but it's a quick and easy getaway if you live in the South.

Corrupt Cancun police extorting 'fines' from tourists, U.S. warns

WASHINGTON - The United States said Wednesday that corrupt Mexican police are targeting tourists in Cancun.

The State Department issued a public announcement to U.S. citizens, citing increasing complaints in recent weeks that police have extorted money from tourists, particularly by making travelers in rented cars pay apparently bogus fines.

In January, the last time the United States issued a travel advisory about its southern neighbor, the Mexican government angrily told Washington not to interfere in its domestic affairs.

"The motorist is threatened with imprisonment if a 'fine' is not immediately paid, even though there is no proof that any infraction has been committed," the State Department said Wednesday.

"The deterioration in recent weeks of local law enforcement in Cancun (is) caused by a persistent shortage of municipal funds to pay for police and public services," it said.

Cancun, a former fishing village whose population has soared to more than half a million thanks to a tourism boom, is a big earner for Mexico. It attracts droves of sun-seeking Americans to its talcum-white Caribbean beaches and luxury hotels.

The economies of Mexico and the United States have become closely linked since the North American Free Trade Agreement came into force in 1994.

But Mexico is sensitive to anything it suspects is U.S. interference in domestic matters.

The State Department says it is obliged to inform its citizens of potential risks abroad and periodically issues similar announcements about travel in nations worldwide.

I've been hearing about police shake-downs in Cancun for several years. . . but I'm still surprised about it since tourism is the bread and butter of Cancun. In most resort towns, the local police usually avoid shaking down tourists because it brings the wrath of local business and government on them. I guess the police in Cancun are so corrupt and so powerful that they don't care. That's sad and scary!

I know a sure way to get laid in Cancun! Take your hot Mexican girlfriend there for a treat and fuck her six ways to Sunday!

There are four well known strip clubs in cancun. two are near the hotel zone, two are around the outskirts of cancun, on the road that leads to the town of Marida. There are one or two less popular strip clubs in the old section of Cancun but I do not recall the names. Neither were that good - a lot of the women were older, a lot of 40s and 50s. Few of the women knew English.

The two main clubs in the hotel zone are "Shampoo" and "Boleros". Both are located on the upper level of an outdoor shopping area right in the hotel zone. If you can find "Daddy Rocks", "Coco Bongos", and the clubs nearby, you're in the right place. Both are noticeably more laid back than the clubs just outside cancun . There is also a small door fee; I believe both are around ten pesos or less.

The girls at these two places range from modest looking to very attractive, bordering 9's. The girls here are not as aggressive as the girls at the other clubs, you're pretty much left to enjoy the pace of the dancing (slow) and drink while perhaps a few women will gently come up and say hi every hour or so. The problem with these two places is the cost. I found full service ranged from about $60 (a girl I new from a previous trip) to as much as $350. For $350, I could have done better where I live in the US. Althouh, many of the girls are willing to do and go just about anywhere for the price they quote you. Many will go back to your hotel (more on that later) and some will hang out with you the next day if they have time and if they think you're cool. Since many of the hotels are close to both Shampoo and Boleros, you might just save some cab fare.

I am heading down to Cancun for 1 day. I am 25 years old, so I am not counting out the Coeds due to spring break. If at the end of the night I am still alone can anyone recommend a place to pick up a sure thing. I am kind of picky about looks, but performance is what counts. Anal would be an added bonus.
