Hey guys, could someone please tell me how to get to Ensenada from the TJ border..step by step...por favor. Last i heard we should take the ABC bus to Ensenada (10-12.00) bucks? Get off at the first stop once we arrive in Ensenda, which is close to Anthonys..correct? Then book a room at one of the hotels close to that same bar? All the girls have no trouble following you back to your hotel? Prices for chicks are about the same as AB? Good selection? Any SG's? Crime?

Salsa Boy, I've had many a good time in Ensenada. It is much different that TJ, cleaner, safer, slower. I know a few guys that prefer Ensenada over TJ, they go right through TJ, every time and don't even stop.

Ensenada is a nice change of pace from TJ. If you just want to kick back and relax, it is a good place. And the chicas are more relaxed and much lower volume. Taking a chica back to your hotel is the way to go. Don't forget to have something for them to eat, drink, listen to, and read. You might find a chica hanging out in your room or calling you the next day. Its more apt to happen in Ensenada that TJ.

Right on!!!!...sounds good Whistler. I will have to bring some gringo goodies from the states, and have them ready in my room when i bring them back.

Although I've been to Ensenada twice this year, I'm a little out of practice mongering, but I don't think things have changed that much. Anthony's chicas go for an hour. They will quote $100 for starters. I don't know any that won't take $80. Non weekend nights are your best bet. Many chicas don't go at all on a Wed, Thurs, of Sun night, so $60-70 is very possible those nights.

Then there is the late factor. The chicas are much more flexible at 1 AM that at 10 PM. Also, keep in mind that the one hour can often turn into much more if it is a good match.

I was in Ensenada this past Friday night….. I was with my Novia and her two brothers and we happen to be walking down a pretty bad part of Miramar street, a place I normally wouldn’t be alone in or even with another gringo friend late at night. As we were walking towards the better part of town we pasted two gringos heading east. They were with a guy who I know for a fact is famous for setting people up with the police. It goes down two different ways,,,, you either buy drugs from him and he see’s where you stash them in your car and then notifies the police or he sticks them in your coat or back pocket… in both case’s the police stop you, bust you then take all your money when your scared shitless then order you out of town right then and there…. and the guy?…. the police give him a cut…….ok, so as I’m walking I say to these two guys,,,, your in a bad part of town and with bad company (hoping to alert them to the possible danger),,,,,,,, instead of leaving or asking me why (which I would have happily told them), one of them turns around and snarls (like he’s in the know or something,,, not that I am but I do live there and had never seen them before) “O yeah, why don’t you just come over here and explain it to me” (as he’s puffing up his 65 + year old chest out),,,,, at the time my novia just pulled me away and we left………. I guess what I’m trying to say is that if you happen to be someone who reads this board,,,, you’re an “asshole”……….. I don’t suppose you have one of those bumper stickers that read “Mean People Suck”………….. Next time someone try’s to help you,,,,, pull your head out of your ass before you open mouth….. and if you don’t want info or help just nod your head……

I was in Ensenada Saturday night, and saw the guy you described (who sets people up) only he was with a young gringo couple. They were arguing with him and didn't look too happy. They walked past me headed east on Miramar as I passed Paris Club. BTW the doors to Paris were locked at 8pm, are they closed for good or was it just too early?

Anyway, regarding the jerk who you tried to warn, he's probably wishing he had listened to you after he got fucked over later. Who knows. Guys like that will eventually be weeded out in life's survival of the fittest.

I left you a message on the Pescador thread before the weekend to see what's up at the bars in Ensenada. Should've left it here. Saturday wasn't that exciting, anything worth reporting?

The Paris Club is probably just closing up like a lot of places tell things pick back up,,,I head it change ownership not to long ago and maybe that has some thing to due with it, my bro-law was working at the chili-bowl (place just east of Anthony's) and they let him go due to a lack of work.... Sunday at around three I went downtown to have a beer and half the places that are normamlly open where closed..... with all that I think things are starting to get back to normal....... Friday night I spent most of the night in Anthony's dancing and drinking,,,,, there is also a place about one mile out of town that covers Country music and has a few working girls to boot,,,,,, a lot of older retired guys,, this place has not been effected at all,,, full every Friday and Saturday night,,,,, it's called Casa Country and any taxi can get you there...

There are two massage parlors in town now. Not sure if extras are available.
One is across the street from the Bahia hotel; the other is about four doors up from Anthony’s Disco on Miramar Street.

Ensenada is I think at its best when hosting events, races etc. June 1st is the baja 500 and the town seems to double in size for the weekend, and many new women seem to come out of the woodwork for the hope to make some extra pesos,can be a little more expensive than a 20 minute lay in tj, but if you want an hour or so with no knock, a woman in the 6 to 9 range for about 50 to 80 bucks or whatever charm you have maybe for free, visit anthonys. Orrr visit one of the strip clubs, where after last years race celebrations one of the strippers on stage squatted onto our beer bottles and fucked herself as if on mr happy, then we drank our brews, one word, "hillarious" pretty tasty too. Part of our after race celebrations is making bets as to who can make the stage sluts squeal the loudest with our tongues up their asses when the squat for our dollars, quite alot of fun, of course this is after a few beers and taquilla, anyways, ensenada is alot of fun on this weekend, plus you could see me race, number 255x!

Anyone have an opinion or personal knowledge of either of the Spanish language immersion schools in Ensenada? I'm seriously thinking of going there, probably in March. I live in the upper midwest, and don't have any exposure to Spanish up here. Last month I made my first trip to Tijuana, and I'm hooked. I see that learning Spanish, even a little, may be very helpful in future travel. I learned a few words in TJ in a very memorable way, when I had a short session with a street girl who didn't speak English. It's interesting how sex can stimulate a desire for communication.

Anyway, if you have any thoughts or opinions on how to best go about learning Spanish, I'm open for suggestions, especially if you have any information on which of the immersion schools is best (or more interesting).

Here are some learning suggestions:

The best "short" course I have experienced is "Spanish with Michel Thomas". It is extremely good, IMHO. It is a set of 8 CD's and can be purchased through Amazon.com.

A very comprehensive course is Pimsleur. It is expensive, but a big price reduction can be enjoyed by buying through Ebay. The retail price for all four sections is well over $1,000, but through Ebay you can get it all for about $700.

It is amazing how much you can learn for free (they sell a CD course I don't recommend). Check out the grammar section on the left hand side of the homepage and you will see an enormous number of grammar lessons. I paid a membership fee in order to have access to everything on the site. But, the free stuff is enough to keep you busy for a very long time.

There are several language schools in Ensenada. The first one listed below has been recommended by someone I know who has been there. I don't know anything about the other one I have listed.

Another nice thing about this language school is that it is near the bus station. You can take the luxury ABC bus down from TJ for an unbelievable $12 round trip and walk easily to the school. The school is not far from all of the adult entertainment. No doubt you will want to practice your newly learned Spanish in the evening with lovely young women.

I haven't played in Ensenada for awhile but I'm guessing you'll find lots of ladies willing to join you in your room at Anthony's. I assume you're talking about the whole night so it'll be in the $200 range plus a bar fine at Anthony's of probably $20 or so...when you check into your hotel make sure you register two in the room and tell them your girlfriend is meeting you later - if you don't want them for the whole night, just take her to the hotel next to Anthony's and pay about $100 for an hour...you'll still have to pay the bar fine.

Has anyone tried the new "INCITATVS" in Ensenada. It's supposed to be the latest, greatest strip bar in town. How about massage parlors, any info on them?

A few months back, I was walking the main drag in Ensenada, daytime. Someone handed me a flyer for a massage parlor on one of the side streets, just barely off the main drag. I went to check it out. It is called Luxor, and it is on the second floor. All the chicas dressed in white uniforms like at a clinic or real spa. Thought it would be a nonsexual massage when I saw this. Went for it anyway, and got a nice young pretty chica, about 19 or 20 yo. Nice massage, and on the flip, she caught me off guard, and asked if I wanted extra service. BINGO! Had an awesome FS session for an additional $60. I think the massage was $40. She even offered to meet me later to go out to clubs, but I was leaving that day and would not be there for the night..wish I had discovered it the night before.

Anthony's, Jacarandas, paris de Noche are your best bet for girls to come back to the hotel with you.

Go to Paris de noche durring the day and ask for Edgar, (day manager) he can set-up anything and you won't get ripped off. mention the internet guy sent you to him.

For an all nighter Anthony's girls are hit and mis, but they don't get paid by the bar so once they leave, they don't have to come back and there is no manager wanting a $20 per hour bar fine.

Outside of town there is a motel called Sena. Nice if yo can get in.

I do suggest Hotel Hacienda on 2nd street. Nice rooms for real cheep.

Questions: How's the highway along that route?

Looking for a decent hotel or motel that is chica friendly and has a hot tub in the room. $50-$70/night(or less if possible). Looking to have one or two all-nighters.
