In a post above, a club called "Petunia" is mentioned. This club is directly across the street from the Alamo Hotel. According to the female bartender at the Alamo Hotel, the Petunia club "is for gays". She said that the other nearby club mentioned in the post, called "Rolex", has girls.

Out of curiousity, I stuck my head in the door (the big head that is) at Petunia. Sure enough, it had several lady-boys sitting around waiting for the customers to ask them to the dance floor. The bare concrete floors and overall appearance reminded me of my neighbor's garage (except that he has a different kind of TV in his garage). Petunia is not my cup of tea...but different strokes for different folks.

I quickly left and went to Rolex, which surprized me because it wasn't the complete dump that I had envisioned. Not that it was anything fancy, just a little odd that a less dumpy place would be so far off the well-beaten tourist path.
Rolex had a few nice looking girls, but I didn't have the time to stay past one quick beer. Worth a return visit though.

Me and a buddy of mine recently went on vacation to Puerto Vallarta Puerto. Needless to say we were determined to check out the local strip clubs. After visiting a few clubs in the city (juniors, lipstick), both were nice with hot chicks but very expensive! $20 for a private dance, $40 for a bj and $80 foe sex and only 15 min in the room! So we asked around and discovered yhey have what they call "the tolerence zone". It is about a 10 min cab ride, but worth the 6 bucks. There is 4 strip clubs with really hot girls. You can tell that these clubs are more for the locals than for outsiders, in fact we were the only americans in the clubs, which sometime work to your advantage because the girls all come over to flirt and talk to you so its easy to get a quick peek at the package. They probably just assume they can get some more money but all you have to do is hold out for a few min. and DONT buy any of them a drink! Our beers were $1 and thiers were $7.50! (that only happened once.)Just joke with them, find one that you like and for $40 take one back to their room. I chose to take one back to the hotel for $100, it was by far the best deal. She was really hot and was not in a hurry to leave. She started off with a great massage and ended putting on the condom with her mouth. She let me do anything i wanted and she left about 3 hrs later!I gave her $10 for a cab ride home. We are definetly going back soon!

How safe is the zona for a gringo travelling alone? I have only limited Spanish speaking skills. Also, what time do the clubs open?

The zona may look dumpy, but it is relatively safe. Just behave yourself and you will be fine. You may find other gringos in the area, but if you are by yourself, the local Mexican guys will still leave you alone. Take a taxi there and back. There are always a few taxis in the parking area ready to take you back at any hour of the night.

The busiest night, with the most girls, is Saturday, followed by Friday. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are very slow. The four clubs are named Cadillac Club, Stravaganza, Las Alansas and Mi Tren. All four clubs share the same dirt parking lot and you can walk freely between the clubs as you wish to check out the girls. None of the clubs has a cover charge.

Stravaganza (used to be called Hawaii Club) is probably the most gringo friendly since some of the waiters and maybe one or two of the girls can speak English. All of the clubs will happily welcome you and your money The best time to go is after midnight. You can go earlier, say 10PM or 11PM, but things will be pretty slow. The clubs stay open until 5:30 AM or so.

Many of the girls live on the premises of the zona clubs and some arrive by taxi. Watch out for the occasional transvestite or two that may be working the area: especially in the parking area or at Mi Tren. I'm not sure, but Las Alansas may have one also. Cadillac Club and Stravaganga, which are the "higher quality" clubs of the four will be all girls.

Also, read through the above posts to learn more. Antoniotiger's long post is particularly good, but note that the club called "Lobos" hasn't had any girls in about 4 months. It is pretty much a local watering hole, now. Lobos is completely dead until 3 AM when all the local restaurant workers and others show up to sit and drink after a long day on the job.

1) How has the war affected opinions of Americans?
2) Has travel dropped off such that prices are coming down as well?? i.e. it would be nice to try a place like Q-Eros without the prices previously posted here.

Went to the Zona last night. Taxi ride cost 7 dollars. THe Zona is about a 10 minute cab ride from centro. It was a little dead Thursday night. THere are 4 strip clubs. I found a hot gal in Stravaganza, she was 10 plus by far the hottest women in La Zona. I got robbed. i was so drunk and horny I paid 60 bucks for 30 minutes. There are rooms in the club. We went back , ok bbbj. Ok sexo. nothing to write home about. I feel I paid way too much. I should have known this gal spoke English and I am sure ahs some heavy clients as I am not lying she was very very very hot, but the sexo was not too great.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico holds five Gentlemens Club for tourist and a Red Zone for the adventurious and locals. The Gentlemens Clubs are located in the main part of town from North to South, the Zona Rojo is about a mile from the Bull Arena to the east. Candy's is located in the north part of town by the Marina. My last visit was in March of 2004 and I paid $180.00 for two hours with one of the working women at the club. Normal tip to the doorman and the waiter. The lady was shy and did speak English and when we got back to the Motel she became less shy as we got to know one another. Candy's is upstairs in a building on the east side of the main road from the airport to town. Candy's is similiar to the other clubs in town like Juniors. Door fee is$10.00 drinks are around $4.00 and around $200.00 for 2 hours outside the building.

For those of you looking for an alternative to the zona, which still offers low tariffs and Mexican atmosphere, check out the bar cum rooms in Las Juntas. There's daytime action too after 1pm(just walk the corridor and see if the girls respond by getting up from their beds). $50 US for FS including room. Girls could be cuter, but usually there's one who is pretty nice lookin'. The one I settled for was Marisol, the classic Mexican oversized model, but still provided excellent BBBJ, DFK, and lots of gyrations in the cama. Directions: heading north from the airport, you go past the Central Camionera (bus terminal) and then a big sweeping curve to the left. After you come out of the curve take the first major turnoff to your right. Then take the next main cross street to your right. It's about 60 feet on your left, looks like a bar, sunk below street level, yellow paint, and if you look in you should be able to spot the row of rooms out in the patio of the cantina.

Visited clubs in Puerto Vallarta (Mexico) on a recent vacation there with my wife:

1) Prestige (fka: Queros) is the most upscale place located right in the hotel zone has a nice selection of girls. While most are Mexican, there were many from Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil and even a couple from Hungary. Most are not as pretty as girls in top US clubs, but with 20-30 girls working, you can probably find someone who suits your taste. The place is couple friendly. The prices are $20 for a 5 min private dance and you can usually get them to do $50 for 15 min. Other services on site are available, but we weren't interested and I don't know the prices. To take one of them back to the hotel, it is $300 for 2 hours, but the time is generally negotiable - on a night when its too busy, they will probably let you have 3 hours. Some girls speak fairly good English and others don't. You can ask the guys who set everything up - one will come to your table as soon as you sit down. Drinks for the girls are ~$14.

2) Candy's - this place is close to the Marina section. There are more locals there, but it is very new and clean. Fewer girls working - maybe 10, but some are nice. The prices are similar, but no one seems to get dances there. This is geared more to sex. The prices for private rooms on premises seemed reasonable, but I don't remember what they were. To take a girl to the hotel is only $200 for 2 hours. Once again the guys that arrange everything will tell you everything you want to know you choose one - you may want to tip them if you find it helpful. That will get you more info and possibly more time with the girl. Almost none of the girls speak English here, but they have a way of figuring out how to communicate.

All in all a nice place to spend a few days but a damm expensive place to monger. Open clubs in town; Candy's, Prestige, Juniors, Armagedon, Hysteria, Atorcha. Cab drivers are a good source of information as to which one is "hot" at that time.

Rates are the same $160 us for 30 min, $200 for one hour. Tip to the Manager. Hysteria had the best set up with real rooms (with real beds) next door (like AB in Tj). Others have small rooms in the back of the club.

Only one "massage" or outcall, "Juliette", but you must be in the hotel Los Angeles, then call them. The only place they will send the girls. Will not come to your place. I asked around and no one knew of a monger friendly hotel.

Did not make it to the "zona", which as reported in out past the bull ring. All cabies said it was mostly locals, not very clean and poor selection of chicas.

This has to be the #1 place for gays and lesibians to vacation. They are all in the "zona romantica", south area of the city, just accross the river. Thought I was in SF.

By the way, not a SG to be seen, and I did walk the city from one end to another for a few days. To bad.. They really keep things tidy for the tourists.

Just to clarify an earlier post about the joint in Las Juntas, it's the same place referred to by others as "Hotel Alamo". There's an Aussie who actually stayed there as if it were a legit hotel. He's posted his "memoirs" including pics of the girls and a write-up of another joint in Las Juntas, El Mirador, which appears to be just a bar with bar girls. Do a search for "Alamo Hotel" & "Puerto Vallarta".

What's up hobbist....Just got back from The Dominican and Mexico, heading to Puerto Vallarta in 2 weeks. Has anyone been there lately??? What's the story on the clubs, the girls, the money and what to expect??? Help me show my new friends how to travel in style. Thanks

Hey boys, just got back from P.V. in a word......awesome. There are some serious good looking women in P.V. all for hire. Upon doing research before going there I was looking forward to going to Juniors and Armegedens.......both closed come to find out. Not more than a 5 minute walk from my hotel near the marina/airport area is a club called Candy's. Solid girls, mostly late at night. Not cheap, but I think I found the best deal going. It's $20 for a 3 min. lap dance....not. $150 for 30 min in a private room in back....not. For an extra $50....$200 total i was able to take a 12 in my eyes back to the hotel for 2 hours. I was able to cum 3 times and take a shower with her afterwards. The private down time I got to know her better and parlayed that into a night of drinks and dancing the next night with her and her sister. Ya it cost me all the drink tabs, but the sex at the end of the night was F.R.E.E. They showed me around to the local bars and hot spots, it was a side of P.V. i would have never seen. Another great spot is Prestige.....very up scale with nicer girls....and prices are very similar. I was unable to find any really cheap deals in town for a mongerer. A great local club to meet non-working girls for a possible freebe is call Collage....about 1 block and across the street from Candy's. All in all, P.V. proved to be my new favorite mexican city....topping Cabo, and Manzanillo. Finally, to recommend a great roof top bar where we met a couple high class local girls is a bar called AZUL....a block behind the Hard Rock. It has a Sky bar on the roof and a world class restuarant on the first floor. Drinks are average price, but the girls are on the high end of the class scale.
