Just listening to Tish Hinojoas's "San Antonio Romeo". Love the town, but not sure you missed anything. Hope you had a wonderful time and spend a lot of money!

Sandy; Just the second part of your satment, sir...
Milky: ask your questions. Am back on line.
By Porker on Thursday, August 05, 2004 - 09:46 pm: Edit
Milkman, no 1 year tourist visa, as far as I know, and the 6 mos. one is not supposedly good for multiple entry. But as they do not stamp your passport unless you fly in, they'll ever know when and where you entered the Republica unless you tell them.
Regio, any truth to the rumor that the stores in South Texas are running quite low on inventory after this past weekend?
By Regio on Thursday, August 05, 2004 - 11:06 pm: Edit
God... my friend. You have no idea what I went thru trying to get a permit.
Tell you later about it.
And yes... San Antonio did go low on inventory.
Thanks guys. I am planning multiple trips to Mexicali and have Mont on my list probably in the cool season
By Regio on Saturday, August 07, 2004 - 11:08 am: Edit
One thing Milky... Monterrey is NOT as hot as Mexicali or TJ.
Right now its 95 tops.
Or is that too hot for you???
By Porker on Saturday, August 07, 2004 - 11:30 pm: Edit
well, plus humidity... it gets pretty damned hot. Plus air con abounds in Mexicali/Juarez. In MTY you'relucky to get a swamp cooler.
By Regio on Sunday, August 08, 2004 - 11:35 am: Edit
A/C abounds in the places I go. Never had the nerve to set foot in the place Porker goes to!!!!
By Porker on Sunday, August 08, 2004 - 06:14 pm: Edit
A/C is insufficient at the Matehuala and many of the other strip clubs. Ask '6' and Woodway -- Blasting A/C at Excalibur was one reason they liked that place so much. It's worse in some of the massage places. Many smaller bars and restaurants have mere swamp coolers. Regio can't go to those bars because he can only hit so many before turning into a pumpkin!

El Puerco
Found that the Siesta was a good idea. Spend the cooler parts of the day and evening out and about, then snooze when it is hot. Might even get a young lady to spend the afternoon with you!
Sandy
By Regio on Monday, August 09, 2004 - 02:28 pm: Edit
Porker; You have to consider that the same thing applies, but the other way around in Winter: the small clubs and the run of the mill MP's don't have heating.
Sandy went to Horoscope, one of the above avarage MP's here in Monterrey and was treated well and recieved every penny of what he paid for... right?
Air conditioning, nice girls, well treated...
By Sandy on Monday, August 09, 2004 - 09:15 pm: Edit
Got to admit that I spent a fair amount of time in Horoscope. Clean, cool, etc. Not interested in the table. I suspect that it would be pretty easy to get a lady out to spend some time with you.
By Reytj on Sunday, May 29, 2005 - 10:19 am: Edit
Evidently the INM-Immigration has a lot of time on their hands in Monterrey. They recently conducted an internet sting of foreign excorts. Posing as clients they lured two extranjeras to a hotel and took them into custody.
By Sandy on Sunday, May 29, 2005 - 06:25 pm: Edit
Major bummer. Guess I will have to limit myself to Mexicanas when I am down next month. Any of the regulars going to be in the area?
Sandy
By Regio on Sunday, May 29, 2005 - 10:30 pm: Edit
oh..yes they did, they got 2 girls from Argentina, but by far the worst examples you could get from that country. (ugly ugly)
I think it was from the www.divas.com.mx site
But since these girls come from that site, they are 100% over what we are used to.
They charge like 2000 pesos for an hour.
Not my choice
It seems most chicas I meet in the border town of Tijuana are from Monterrey. I'm wondering what draws them so far from their homeland (apart from the obvious reasons: anonymity and money) when there seems to be so much business in Monterrey.

You think there's a lot of chicas from Monterrey in TJ, you ought to see how many there are in Nuevo Laredo and Reynosa.
By Porker on Monday, July 03, 2006 - 10:45 am: Edit
If they want to fuck for money, Monterrey chicas can make a lot more cash very quickly at the border towns. The girls making their living fucking for money here in Monterrey don't make much on each transaction and/or have high expenses/quotas.
I doubt most MTY chicas view working in border town whorehouses as a long-term career option, though. It's a lonely life away from their boyfriends/family.
By Huevon on Monday, July 03, 2006 - 07:43 pm: Edit
One crazy girl from MTY used to run around the Nuevo Laredo boystown wearing nothing but a size XXL tee-shirt. She was young, hot, and liked to bar hop in the afternoons and drink beer. The perfect girl.
Last week, while mongering in TJ, some chica I met at the Las Chavelas, (with a big ass and huge hips) told me she the reason why she came to TJ was because she answered an Internet ad in Monterrey which was recruiting "hostesses" to come and work in the border towns where they can make fast easy money.
I've heard this story too many times before, with chicas who arrive at the training academy AKA "Bar Tropical" and end up graduating to either AB or CC.
M. Bates.
Does anyone know the next major city near Monterrey where it's a hot mongering spot?
M. Bates.
By Regio on Friday, July 21, 2006 - 12:25 am: Edit
There is no major city near Monterrey as versatile as ours Master.
Nearst to Monterrey is Nuevo Laredo and Reynosa and there respective Boys Town, honestly, not up to par with TJ.
Many guys from Texas go to Acuña... dunno why, but they do.
The reason for the recent questions on various threads regarding Monterry, Mexico, is because I've been invited by this one chica whom I've been dating for quite a while in TJ (well, ok, I'll be honest- this one HOOKER I've been dating) who has invited me to come visit her and to get to know her family when she returns to her home town of Monterrey in December 2006/January 2007. (Gee, I guess it must be getting serious with us!)
The problem is, seeing that she's an "old fashioned girl" and everything, she says it would be somewhat inappropriate for me to stay under the same roof with her and her kids, as her kids would never dream "Mommy dearest" has a boyfriend, let alone has a secret life as a hooker!
I'm from the Los Angeles area, and I've noticed there isn't much discussion on these threads regarding the crime issue. This of course, is always the first thing I'm concerned with while traveling.
The hotel threads are informative, but as Regio suggested, I think it might be best if I do my own Google search and see what I can come up with.
No doubt if and when I do dare to take the plunge and travel to Monterrey, which will probably be in January 2007, I'll print out all the information to take with me about where the best locations are.

Does anybody know about the current bar closing times in Monterrey? I was there four years back and they had some bars near the bus station open 24 hours, then went back in Feb 2005 and those bars were no longer open that late. Are there any bars (near the bus station) that are open all night these days? Thanks
By Regio on Saturday, February 24, 2007 - 01:45 pm: Edit
Near the bus station is not quite my forté Huevon...
But bar hours are still long hours.
If they are not open 24 hrs, they should be working like from 2 PM till 5 AM.
By Huevon on Saturday, February 24, 2007 - 09:20 pm: Edit
Regio, since you are strictly a Barrio Antiguo guy, I can't see you slumming around the dives around the bus station. LOL
But actually, there are a couple that are pretty respectable, like Jefe's. That's a good bar. Not a pickup joint, just a good place for an older crowd to drink, socialize, have a botana and usually listen to live music.
By Porker on Saturday, February 24, 2007 - 11:02 pm: Edit
To my knowledge, there are no 24x7 bars in MTY, as Regio already said, places like Infinito and Matehuala are open till 5 AM. A few massage places are open all night, though, so if you really wanna monger 24x7, it's available. DRINKING, however, may need to take a break between 5 AM and 10 AM or so when bars open for cleaning.
Will mention it AGAIN: www.vivaaerobus.com offers cheap, CHEAP fares flying within Mexico. Can easily fly TIJ-MTY round trip for 100 bucks if you book in advance.
By Huevon on Sunday, February 25, 2007 - 01:37 am: Edit
Porker, you are a magic man, appearing out of nowhere just when I needed something like this. I may just be visiting Mazatlan pretty soon afterall. Stay tuned...
By Huevon on Sunday, February 25, 2007 - 02:12 am: Edit
Damn, just went on the website and saw that the MTY to Mazatlan run doesn't begin unitl June--desdichado de mi!!!
HOWEVER there are other options like ACAPULCO!!!
Porker, I'd like to crawl around inside your head a while. You, living near Monterrey, the "codo" capital of Mexico, may be able to help me out. If you were me, coming to MTY on the bus from say, Laredo, is there any way you could avoid the Monterrey taxi mafia $25 USD price from the city to the airport?
Is there a local bus a person could catch running from Monterrey city center to San Nicolas? I was thinking that would be a good idea. Grab that bus, jump off somewhere in San Nicolas and catch a taxi from there to the airport for maybe 50 pesos or so. I know this sounds cheap charlie as hell, but it's good to know these things. HELP...
By Porker on Sunday, February 25, 2007 - 07:21 am: Edit
Huevon, there is indeed a city bus route that goes from the Central to Apodaca, the town right next to the airport. I'm blanking on the number of the bus route right now, but the destination sign on the bus will say "Apodaca" and "Aeropuerto". I think the fare is 6 pesos, the route takes about 50 minutes, and it will take you to within a mile or so of the airport, where you can easily catch a cab for 20 pesos or less. The bus is often crowded, and non-air con, and it can be a pain to take it when you have a lot of luggage.
Due to time constraints with a plane to catch I have never taken the city bus TO the airport, but have made the trip into the city FROM the airport several times. This is actually a bit trickier, as no taxi will pick you up while you're considered to be inside the airport. So I get stuck walking all the way past the rental car area and parking lots to the main street in order to get a taxi. NOT advisable if you're traveling heavy or in the mid-day heat.
The airport taxi mafia in MTY is the worst I have ever seen. It's an absolute joke that there are no van/limo/bus services servicing that airport that is truly in the middle of fucking nowhere. I mean they have a fantastic 1st class bus service to SALTILLO of all places for 180 pesos that takes you right to the front door of the airport with no stops, but you're stuck paying 220 pesos for a fucking taxi to go from the MTY airport to downtown Monterrey because no similar bus service exists into the city? IDIOCY.
By Regio on Sunday, February 25, 2007 - 11:09 am: Edit
Why?
Because supposedly, and that is one of the mayor faults of our society, we are a high class-high income city.
So, we are expected to pay a lot for services... that incluedes expensive taxis.
Huevon, it is possible to get a taxi for 20-50 pesos from Apodaca as Porker says. Minimum price to get into the airport is around the 100 peso range from other parts

Huevon, how about Aviacsa?
They should have Mty-Mazatlan rout, even if it's via Mexico City
By Huevon on Sunday, February 25, 2007 - 03:20 pm: Edit
Just checked out Aviacsa website. No flights to Mazatlan. Guess you could fly to Culiacan and take the three-hour bus ride down. I would imagine it's quite beautiful right on the ocean down in that part of Mexico.
Aviacsa's fares don't compare with Aerobus's. With prices that low, now is the time for any guys from Southern California to fly from TJ to Monterrey if they are so inclined.
Regio, are you saying that it only costs 100 pesos to go from Infinito Club to the airport??? I wouldn't mind paying that, but it's had to believe it's that cheap.
If I was gonna go cheap charlie, what specific street corner in the city would I catch a northbound bus headed toward Apodaca/Aeropuerto?
If push comes to shove, I guess I could call Lupe Esparza, he's from Apodaca. Maybe he wouldn't mind picking me up at Infinito and taking me back out there...LOL
By Regio on Sunday, February 25, 2007 - 04:46 pm: Edit
No, I meant 100 pesos from the outskirts of Monterrey (Apodaca, Escobedo, Guadalupe).
Are the seats on aerobus assigned or first come? The prices look great.
From what I understand, not assigned. I haven't actually flown them yet, but will at the beginning of next month.

Huevon, the bus from Central to Apodaca leaves from Villagran street, behind the Central Camionera, 1 block before you get to the major intersection at Colon.
I have also not flown VivaAerobus, but am pretty sure it's open cattle-call seating, AirAsia style.
Re: Aviacsa, they are not anywhere near as cheap as VivaAerobus, but they're cheaper than normal airline competition, especially for routes from MTY to the USA. They give their lowest fares on their websites with "Tuesday specials", can fly anyday, but ticket needs to be purchased on a Tuesday.
By Regio on Monday, March 05, 2007 - 10:38 pm: Edit
Yep, Porker is right on Aviacsa.
Cheapest airfare to and from Mty-Los Angeles, well, cheap from my Mty perpesctive. Dunno the price starting from LA to MTY
Thanks porker. How is the weather in the summer?
How is the radisson inn downtown. Is it close to most of the hot spots?
By Regio on Tuesday, March 06, 2007 - 11:59 pm: Edit
Drbrew1...
The Radisson Ancira, close as in "close by" to the hot spots, no.
Taxi drive away, yes (5-8 minutes) and almost in a stright line.
A couple of things: the Radisson Ancira is a Grand Tourism class hotel, more than 5 stars in case you are intrested in a room there, although you can get sometimes some pretty nice rates via the Web.
And it is NOT girl friendly. Not at all.
Summer temperature for Monterrey: 90's and sometimes, above.
(Message edited by regio on March 07, 2007)
By Drbrew1 on Wednesday, March 07, 2007 - 05:32 am: Edit
Thanks regio. Where would you suggest to stay close to the hot spots? Now that i found aerobus i want to go to Mty. Every thing i have read seems to be posotive. Also are there lakes for fishing near.
I agree with Regio about the Ancira. It is a classy place. Although I didn't try to hobby when I stayed there, I can't see that it would be girl-friendly. In fact, there's not even a good way to try to sneak a girl upstairs. However, if you're looking for a classy hotel to stay at with a decent restaurant, the Ancira gets my vote. Also if I'm not mistaken, legend has it that Poncho Villa rode his horse up the staircase in the main lobby. Useless trivia you may never need to know again.
EA
By Regio on Wednesday, March 07, 2007 - 11:42 pm: Edit
Pancho Villa did that?!?!?!?!
Well let me state that if you guys want a good 5 star girl friendly hotel, the Sheraton Ambassador will do the job. They allow female visitors to the rooms as long as the guest registers double occupancy.
This hotel is next door to the Radisson Ancira as a matter of fact and in the hotel district.
Drbrew, the hotel my friends from other forums pick to stay at is the Plaza del Arco at the cross roads of Pino Suarez Ave and Madero Ave.
Check their website:
http://www.proximahoteles.com/
50 bucks a night, adequate and girl friendly up to a point (of course, it is a family hotel).
Walking distance to the world famous in Monterrey Infinito and just a cab ride down Madero Ave to almost all the clubs....
And lakes to fish: a lot. Not may forté but the La Boca Dam is close by and lots of other like Cerro Prieto Dam, El Cuchillo Dam and many I don't know their names.....

Ancira is OK, but I'd certainly quibble with Regio's star ratings. The rooms are pretty small for what you're paying (try and spend 1000 pesos a night or less), and there's very little luxury there -- I'd compare it to a Holiday Inn, personally. The morning breakfast buffet is pretty good. As far as location goes, as Regio mentions, the fun clubs are a short taxi ride away. The subway will also get you there, but doesn't run late at night.
Plaza Del Arco is certainly a convenient, guest friendly place. But it's not very luxurious. Rooms like those cost about 20 bucks throughout Asia, and you often get a pool too.
By Regio on Thursday, March 08, 2007 - 09:36 am: Edit
Porker, I don't favor the Ancira either, that´s why I mentioned Sheraton Ambassador.
And about the Ancira's stars, what can I do? That´s what the hotel's been awarded... not my fault.
By Porker on Thursday, March 08, 2007 - 11:29 am: Edit
Well, sounds like whoever's awarding stars to Mexican hotels has warped criteria?
Hey, I liked the Ancira, but then again I think the PDA is great as well. Good taste was never my forte!

Thanks for all the help guys. Are there better times of the year to visit your fine city? I'm going for sure. Also what is best club in town?
Doc,
Don't mean to be a buzzkill, but RTFF. It's all here if you invest the time to do your research. Pay particular attention to posts by Regio and Porker. Those guys have got the scene in Monterrey zeroed in as well as anyone.

Porker, thanks for that info on whre to pick up the cheap charlie bus to Apodaca. Hope I get a chance to use it. When you say behind the bus station, that confuses me a bit however. When I walk out of the bus station I consider that the front, looking south towards downtown.
Sounds like I leave the bus station, cross over the walkway, walk west to Villagran (which ain't but a block or so). I'll mosey over in that direction for sure and ask some locals too.
If I get the right one, I hope the driver will be kind enough to let me off at the nearest place to the airport, and I hope it's got some taxis running around.
This is not a first for me going through some hassle. But if I don't do it, I'll feel I cheated myself out of something...There's no fool like an old fool...
By Regio on Saturday, March 10, 2007 - 03:55 pm: Edit
The Plaza del Arco is set in the crossroads of Madero Ave and Pino Suarez which places you walking distance from our local secret, the Infinito MC, and a short cab away from the rest of the clubs.
Yes, the PDA is 50 dlls and yes that is expensive if compared to SEA, which, let me remind my friend Porker, Monterrey is not SEA.
Monterrey is the 3rd largest city in Mexico with 4.5 million and it is one of the most expensive ones, thus hotels are expensive, even the modest ones.
And come on, New York has hotels charging 300-400 for a tiny winnie room that are not worth 100 dlls.
So I guess we are tied.
We are also the safest and no police will hassel you the way TJ is famous for... period.
And DrBrew, Monterrey has tons of clubs for all wallet sizes and clubs for all tastes. There is no Adelitas type here, but there is also no Infinito type at TJ.
What is your preference...?
And the weather... just right now Winter is over for us.....
(Message edited by regio on March 10, 2007)
Once again i have to say thanks for the info.I must say it seems that your city might be finest city in the country.I am used to paying 100-140 for a room so that does not bother me.Also i try not to compare SEA to Mexico.I am comparing the scene in the US to that in MTY and travel time etc. Finally can you inform me a little on obsession night club. Is it worth the extra money? Is infinito just as nice?
By Regio on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 - 01:17 am: Edit
DrBrew: Obsession is expensive. Period.
It's like one of your American SC where you spend a lot and get nothing in exchange...
We have a couple where they offer an afternoon shift with a lunch buffet, a cheap one going for 6 dlls, so me and my friends usually go there (including Porker, that's where we meet).
Contray, Infinito is a working class SC. that I just can't describe and really you have to see it to believe it.
Contrary to the Obsession and Prestige MC where you have to pay up to 3000 pesos for a FS, at the Infinito you pay 300 pesos plus privados for a FS... but, like I told you, it has it's own brand of FS!
Thanks i think you just saved me 2700 pesos. I owe you. Are the best days to go during the week or the weekend?
By Regio on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 - 12:01 am: Edit
To Monterrey... Wednesday onwards.
Clubs like the Infinito, are open from 2 PM
The 5 star clubs that offer a great and cheap lunch buffet (6 dlls) are the Obsession and the Prestige, they open at 1:30 pm.
They are great for the food... girls are good, but just as eye candy (although I have a couple of girlfriends working there, I can't lie about it... they are nice).
Clubs close at the crack of dawn... meaning 5-6 am on weekends.
There are other options, like the Casino, the Harem, the Tangalay, the TVO... options that might differ a little in price and the working style of the club...
By Drbrew1 on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 - 09:48 pm: Edit
The last question before my trip is are there any escort services or are they a waste of time?Again i thank you more than you will ever know.I want to make Mty a destination not only where i can find beautiful girls but one where i can find friendly and interesting people.I can't wait.
By Regio on Thursday, March 15, 2007 - 01:03 am: Edit
Yes there are, but I never recomend them.
Mostly they offer amateurs, pretty amateurs at that, that charge you US prices.
Pretty girls... that, there are many options, but at the clubs.
Is this what you are looking for?
I will be visiting MTY in the fall staying at the Sheraton based on your info. Can anyone give me info on the Marcella massage parlour. The web site looks good.Is it close to my hotel? This is my first trip an am looking forward to a good time. Thanks for the help.
I heard poison was the place to go. Never been there, so I dont have a personal recommendation
By Regio on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 - 12:25 am: Edit
DrBrew... finally coming to town?
Good.
Yes, Sheraton still is the only one of the downtown 5 star hotels that is girl friendly.
The Maresella MP... well, MPs have never been my forté (as in "I don't like MPs), but I do know that the prices there might go up to 800, 900-1000 pesos with extras.
Extras= better treatment, DATY, best CBJ, etc.
It is relatively close to the hotel, but not walking distance.
Ask me question sir... no problem on my side.
I like the Hilton - nice up to American Standards, breakfast included at a reasonable price. Ok not in downtown, but close enough by taxi.
Still remember the by the song fucks in the strip clubs.

Are you talking about the Hilton Garden Inn???
I see your American standards are weird.
Any hotel here of any chain will be above American standards.
Sounds strange but not.
All Hampton Inns here in Monterrey are better quality than the American chain in the US.
All Courtyards, all Holiday Inns, every hotel chain outsaide the US will be better than their counterparts in the US.
Believe me I have been in them...

Drbrew1:
Here are my favorite clubs in order from high to low:
Infinito
Harem
Casino
Pasarelas
Infinto is our special club, Harem, Casino and Pasarelas are regular SCs
For the lunch buffet: the Prestige and the Obsession 5 star clubs.
And Drbrew1, you won't believe this, but the girls from Monterrey you get to meet at TJ are next to nothing compared to what you'll meet here in Monterrey.

Drbrew... sorry about the delay.
Bar fine at the Infinito is 350 pesos, and the nominal price for the girl is 1000 pesos.
The girl will say it is for 1 hour, but depending on your charm it can be streched to 1.5 - 2 hours.
Send me a PM Dr... I'll send you maps of the city with the clubs, MPs, and... do you have a hotel already selected or is it the Sheraton???
The Sheraton is girl friendly... still is.
Finally coming down Drbrew???

It's official(paid for the room and plane ticket)One good thing for me is that my plane fair was $235 round trip compared to $199 to San Diego(TJ)and $550 to Costa Rica.At that price i'm sure to get addicted to Mty quick.Regio is it easy to find a cab outside of the club at night?(Infinito)
By Regio on Thursday, November 08, 2007 - 12:18 am: Edit
Yes.
The area is full of taxis.
Safe too.
Word of advice to you and those reading this post: On the way in from the hotel you are staying, the taxi driver might act dumb and pretend not to know the club (in this instance, the Infinito).
Give out the address with the streets so that the cab driver knows you know the whereabouts of the club.

Between 9 and 11 pm, cause that's the time it takes the girls to get in line to get their makeup and hair done with the incall bueaty artist they have at the premises.
Supposedly, the Obsession boasts 35-40 girls right now.
The Obsession (and brother Prestige) are not as expensive as the Amnesia and Premiere (be very careful with these 2) and the Obsession is within short range of the hotel district where you are staying.
But still be forwarned that you have to be alert in what you are spending with the girl at the club.
They are very good in squeezing your wallet dry.
Their webpage:
http://www.obsessionvip.com/
Can give you an idea... they also offer a pick up service at your hotel.
Plus they are willing, in case you desire, to transfer you to flagship of their organization, Prestige
http://www.prestige.com.mx/
As mentioned, both offer pick up service, you only need to call them.

What are the prices for the girls drinks at the 5 star clubs and your favorite club(Infinito)? Is it unwise to use credit cards? Thanks.
By Porker on Wednesday, December 05, 2007 - 06:02 pm: Edit
Forgive my ignorance, but if you've got such a boner for going to the 5-star clubs and playing around with supermodel types, why the hell are you asking so many questions about prices? The prices are whatever they tell your ass they are. What are you gpoing to do, argue with them when the bill comes? GOOD LUCK!
You've been subtlely advised that these are ripoff joints several times now. If you persist and want to find out for yourself, well, you've been warned!
By Regio on Thursday, December 06, 2007 - 12:28 am: Edit
DrBrew
Girl's drinks are around 120-150 average at Prestige, Obsession, Premiere... girls might opt for a 180 drink or a double going for 250 or 260 pesos, so you have to be on the look out for girls trying to get you money faster than it should be.
At Infinito the drinks go for 50 pesos, but the girls will only drink one with you since privados is the thing that leaves them money, not sitting with the customers.
Of course there are some girls that will pass time with the customers....
And credit cards... yes, you can use them at the 5 star clubs, but money is prefarable.
Of course you will not be carring hugh amounts of money, but the club will escort you to an ATM if ou previously tell them that you have money, you will not use your credit card, but cash will be paid.
Credit card will ante up the price by 10% with regular cards like MC or Visa, but AmEx will get you a 15% surcharge on the bill.
Let me tell you one thing DrBrew... prices I quoted are average at mentioned 5 star clubs.
Ask the waiter the price of the drink the girl is having. Do that.
If it sounds like an outragous price, just tell the waiter "no" and that you would like to hear him quote the prices.
If it seems steep (above 200 pesos for drinks)... walk away.
They are trying to rip you off.
Tell them that you want your tab and you are going elsewhere...
Nothing else be needed to be said....

I just got back from Mty. and can tell you that i had a blast especially at Infinito. Thanks for the advice on the 5 star clubs Regio. I went to Amnesia,Obsession, and Prestige and was very impressed with the looks of those chicas in those clubs.Regio your take on all these clubs is spot on and i never let my bar tab get out of hand because of your advice.I was so impressed with the city in general as it is quite modern and all the people i met were very nice to me. I plan on making my next trip in Feb. and hope to make several trips in 2008.

Glad you had fun...
Girl quality you have already mentioned it, but totally different from the agresive scene at TJ, cops, streets at night... right???
By Drbrew1 on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 - 06:22 am: Edit
Regio there is no way that TJ can compete with Mty on any level. That does not mean that i will not go back to TJ because it's very convenient to me.I wanted to find a second city in Mexico and i have.Mty exceeded my expectations by a mile and am looking forward to getting to know the city very well.Regio once again thanks for your help in directing me to the right clubs as that made my trip a great one.
I'll be going here in a about 2 weeks. Hopefully I will be able to break away and have some fun.
Whats the deal with poison, is it good?
By Porker on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 - 11:18 pm: Edit
TJ can indeed compete with Monterrey if your goal is affordable multiple 15-30 minute sessions fucking on a real bed and not in a closet or on a massage table. Monterrey club girls are very spoiled by the local mongers paying big time money for expensive drinks and only expecting the girl to laugh at their jokes. If you're not going to pay them 100+ dollars, you're not generally going to get them in your hotel room.

Governorb...
Poisson... may I ask who dropped the name?
In a sense Poisson is on the upper mid range of clubs, like a 4.5 star club.
Expensive, but not as the 5 star clubs like Amnesia, Premiere, Obsession and Prestige.
You can have fun there, but it might be a little tight for your wallet.
Where as you need 3000 pesos at the higher class clubs for a full service, at the Poisson you need 2000 pesos.
(at other clubs, price goes down to 1300 pesos or 1000 and even 500 pesos average).
One question Governorb, when are you coming in?
Christmas/New Years??? those dates are dead and clubs are close.
If you have any questions, by all means ask them.
By Regio on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 - 11:59 pm: Edit
Porker says: "TJ can indeed compete with Monterrey if your goal is affordable multiple 15-30 minute sessions fucking on a real bed"
Nope.. you are so wrong.
Please do some math and then come back again.
For starters, consider that I pay 1200 pesos for better quality girl, 2 hours hotel included, in a nicer hassle free hotel than the ones in TJ.
Porker, my friend, MPs where always your forté here in MTY.
You never ever tried the full range of services at the clubs so you truely don't know the prices the girls charge.
Now... do the math!
Afordable... wow! is that an understatement.

Regio, as you've never mongered in Tijuana, it's you that doesn't know what you're talking about -- I know quite well what the usual minimum is that club girls in MTY charge. Can you please re-read my post?
If you choose to have 15-30 minute sessions, your options in MTY are limited to massage parlors or fucking in (semi-public) private dances onsite. If you want to take a girl to a room with a bed, you will pay a minimum of 100 USD to the girl and will need to pay ~20 USD for the room. In Tijuana, there are probably close to 1000 girls that will happily go to a room with you for a short session for anywhere from 15-70 dollars. If that is one's mongering preference, then Tijuana kicks the crap out of Monterrey. In Monterrey you are FORCED to pay for long sessions whether you want all that time with a girl or not. There is no lesser priced option, and it is one thing that is surprisingly missing from the MTY scene, apparently because the average Mexican monger doesn't really give a crap about getting LAID when he goes to the hooker bars.
By Regio on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 - 10:29 am: Edit
You haven't done the math...
You've only laid down the prices.
I'll do it for you.
If I pay 50 dlls for 20 minutes average at TJ, that means 2.50 per minute.
For 120 minutes (2 hours) of action with the girls, the going price at TJ prices would be 300 dlls.
Mongers, locals, Mexicans pay only 90 dlls.
That's doing math.
Do you get it now?
By Porker on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 - 04:16 pm: Edit
Math teacher, did you ever see the movie I'm Gonna Git U Sucka where Chris Rock goes to the fast food restaurant, looks at the price of a whole order of ribs and asks the cashier "How much for ONE RIB?" Well, the whole point is that in TJ you can indeed buy just ONE RIB. In Monterrey you can't. If all you WANT is ONE RIB, then why be FORCED to pay for the whole order? Surely you can see that buying ONE RIB is more economical than paying for a whole order, no matter how much the price per minute works out to. You may think you're getting a bargain when your paying 110+ USD for a girl and a room for a leisurely 2 hour session, but if one can pay the same price for short time with TWO DIFFERENT GIRLS in Tijuana, there are some that would prefer that second option. Monterrey does not serve THEM well.
By Drbrew1 on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 - 05:01 pm: Edit
One thing that really bothers me in TJ is that sometimes you'll be in a great session and you'll get a knock at the door. That ruins the whole thing for me.In Mty. that will never happen to me.Also i am not going to find the number of great looking chicas in TJ as i will find in Mty.
By Regio on Thursday, December 13, 2007 - 12:19 am: Edit
Thank you DrBrew...
Porker... you just don't get it.
Am sure Chris Rock would have gotten that same rib for the price of the whole rack.
Means you are getting the short end of the stick.
Mongers in TJ get the short end of the stick, thinking that they are getting a bargain when they are getting ripped off pricewise speaking.
Am pretty sure that if the mongers would get a glimpse of prices AND the girl quality further in deep in Mexico, they would change their mind... as many visiting Monterrey from that area have already done.

OK, mon ami, please try the following experiment:
Ask a bunch of club girls how much it costs for them to join you in your hotel room before/after their shift (because you're too cheap to pay salidas, right? You must be, reporting that a session with club girls costs only 90 USD. Everybody ELSE is going to pay 125 + 20 USD for a room for a total of 145+ USD). Then ask them how much time that will get you with them. Then ask them, well, how much for 30 minutes?
Please report back how many times you get PUNCHED!
By Regio on Thursday, December 13, 2007 - 10:37 am: Edit
Anybody reading this thread or as a matter of fact, any thread on any forum will be advise by me and experienced mongers on Monterrey to make a deal with the girl after or before the shift to skip the barfine money.
And they will also be advise that the going rate is only 1000 pesos (90 dlls).
And hotel... the monger supposedly has a room already, the one he's staying at.
I mean, this IS the purpose of the Forums, to help the mongers visiting Monterrey.
By Porker on Thursday, December 13, 2007 - 05:18 pm: Edit
You're going to advise weekend warriors/infrequent visitors to arrange for girls to come to their rooms? What's the % rate of them actually showing up when they say they will, 50%? Bad idea, IMO. Pay the damned salida and don't waste precious vacation time waiting around for notoriously unreliable prostitutes.
Or show up the next day at their work and complain and get them to make the same stupid promises again and again...
Regio, if you're going to use the room cost as a sunk cost for MTY mongerers, then you have to include airfare/transportation costs as sunk costs too, which make Monterrey substantially more expensive than a quick hop across the border for the Southern California guys.
My estimate is that mongering in Monterrey is a complete waste of time as a sex travel destination unless you're willing to spend at LEAST 300 USD a DAY in food/drink/hotel/transportation/privados/ladiesdrinks/salidas/hooker fees. Include 400 USD in transportation costs, and that's 400 USD a day for a 4 day trip. Do you have ANY idea how much fun one can have in Tijuana for 400 USD?
Of course, if you DO care to spend 400 USD a day on a short mongering vacation, Monterrey can be a fun place.
By Porker on Thursday, December 13, 2007 - 05:30 pm: Edit
BTW, Regio IS right about the looks and service premium from Monterrey girls as compared to TJ girls, unless one is REALLY attracted to girls wearing heavy puta makeup and lots of FrankenHooker-style plastic surgeries (Maximus is about the only one I know!).
But you will spend a LOT more mongering in MTY than you will in TJ. For any cost savings available to frequent/savvy visitors, realize that the rules of the game in MTY DEMAND that you spend HUNDREDS of dollars in drinks to get those 'deals'.
I dont' really see MTY as a sex-tourist destination although it CAN be a whole lot of fun if you have money and time. However, it's not "point and click" mongering location like AC, Pattaya or even Rio.
In order to really maximize your options in MTY you have to understand the system and the city. Having said that, IF you know the system and the city, there can be a whole lot of fun to be had. If you're looking for a short-time change of pace and have a little cash, Monterrey may really fit your bill. MTY has, by far, the best looking pay-for-play girls that I've seen in Mexico, and I live here. (Although my favorite city for just general girl-watching is Guanajuato!) I will add the caveat that I really haven't checked out the scene in the D.F.
For MY money, I'd rather spend it consistently in places other than Mexico. (And believe me, I DO like Mexican women!!) This is coming from a guy who lives about a 6-hour bus ride from MTY. I can be in Infinito's for about 30 dollars from my house. So "sunk costs" are virtually non-existent for me. Again, for me, MTY is a great place for a short day or two getaway. After that, it just gets old.
My 2 pesos....
EA

Yep, Monterrey is not a sex travel destination...
... and my friend, you were never into the Monterrey club girl system.
You just don't know how it works.
Contrary to what our mutual friend Unspongebob says, the system is easy to understand and exploit.
USB's fault is that he is looking for something else that we openly avoid and his choice parameters make him go for 2 options: the girls that are way over his head, or the girls that will not go out with him cause he wants "something else".
I must insist again that by now there have been several mongers coming to Monterrey that know the TJ scene and that they have left the city quite please with both the girls AND that they can walk the streets with no fear of being hasseled by the police.

WARNING, beer prices at Infinito have gone up. They are no longer 20 pesos. They are 21 pesos. Well isn't that special...
By Porker on Saturday, February 23, 2008 - 07:03 pm: Edit
Wow, I am just about the cheapest of the cheap, but hearing about 21 peso beers at Infinito does N-A-D-A to get my attention. They were 16 pesos for soooooooo long, and an incredible bargain at that. I'm sure the nightly entertainment makes up the 100% premium you pay over the average shithole cantina.
I'm assuming you're a local if you're getting such a rise out of a 9 cent increase in the price of beer?
By Regio on Thursday, February 28, 2008 - 03:50 pm: Edit
Wait!
You can still get a beer for 15 pesos at the Infinito.
Sol beer goes for 15 pesos... UPS!! sorry, 16 pesos.
TKT beer is the one that goes for 21..
By Porker on Thursday, February 28, 2008 - 11:01 pm: Edit
So somebody freaked out over a mythical 9 cent increase?
By Regio on Thursday, February 28, 2008 - 11:46 pm: Edit
Well, Harem still offers 2x1 TKT beers for 30 pesos.
That is 15 pesos per.
Not so very long ago, I had occassion to sip a few beers, listen to Bee Gee music, and discuss matters of law with the devil in a subdued watering hole just off Calle Villagran. I inquired of the devil if he know a certain person, who shall remain nameless, although whose first name begins with an "R"
I asked the devil if he knew said person, and the devil said, oh yes, quite well.
I thought to myself. Maybe someday, me, the devil and the person who shall remain nameless can perhaps all go bowling together.

Two things really struck me.
1. I never thought I'd meet the devil in Monterrey. Always thought it would be at a future date.
2. The fact that he had no qualms whatsover in telling me directly "I am the devil."
The only thing that did not surprise me at all was that he said he was a lawyer...LOL

I watch a Mexican telenovela "Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe" and in one recent episode the show's star, Pedrito Fernandez, took a business trip to Monterrey with one of his girlfriends.
It was a good episode. They showed several of the big Monterrey tourist attractions and even had Pedrito sing a very pretty song which I've heard before but don't know the title.
It starts out with something like "Soy de aqui del mero San Luisito, el mero mero Monterrey"
Can somebody tell me the name of this song? It's been around for years.
Wow. Has the Monterrey board been dead for a while or what? Thought I'd remind everybody why it's not such a bad place to visit.
This video may be over 20 years old. The group, one of my all time Mexican favorites, Los Plebeyos from Monterrey, NL. The chicas are called "Regias"...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2u_UoPMnMM0&feature=relmfu
Anybody know if Regio is still alive and well in Monterrey?
I really enjoyed Monterrey years ago but it seems like to violence took a toll. Anybody have recent exposure to know if it's safe for mongering? Also, I came across a website called RegioEscorts.com. has anybody used it?
Unfortunately, a lot of major US companies have pulled out of Monterrey because of all the violence. It is a shell of its former self. No clients, no chicas. Not a place I would recommend.
By Porker on Monday, August 29, 2016 - 05:08 pm: Edit
The violence indeed took its toll, options are less than before. Some fun venues like Infinito, Tangalay and Givenchy are shuttered, and surely forever, Matehuala and El Cielo are the last ones standing, and still really fun places.
Massage place available chicas are waaaay down from even 4-5 years ago, but prices are dirt cheap with the peso at a historically low point.
I am clueless at how to pull girls out of higher end clubs on a one time only visit, but there are still some super hotties there, and I don't think any of the higher end places were affected too much by gang attacks/shutdowns. THAT high end scene in Monterrey seems to still be going strong.
I spent a few hours at a mid-tiered club called Palmeiras this weekend and was drooling over the talent they had dancing there. It was like 4 standard deviations above the chubby old chicks that Matehuala put onstage, something that couldn't be said 5-6 years ago.
Regio is still alive and well, but I have lost touch with him lately.

I stay at one of the best hotels and found the male staff particularly helpful. Also, be sure to go to breakfast and befriend some of the single or 1-2 person tables of businessmen you see each morning, particularly those from other parts of Mexico. Ask them where they go for fun. Remember you are not in the uptight US and men are more open about legal or decriminalized (depending on the location in Mexico) adult activities.
How well you speak Spanish makes a huge difference.
