Been spending 8 weeks a year in Mazatlan for the past 13 years. Great time of year ,not too hot . Where you are staying can mean alot....

There is always Dos Gordos and the infamous Red Dragon, my favorite is Las Catas. Near centro Mercada, a home not a club. Dragon and Dos are in the Zone.
There are many others depending on what your looking for and your comfort in speaking spanish.

Las Catas is a house near the centeral mercado, 2 blocks from the church.
It goes like this , there is a iron gate in front, when you pull up the girls line up against the gate. You pick your girl, Negotiate the price , pay your money and the mama-san lets her out. Thanks Explorer. From what I have been able to find out, (paid) chica availability is at an all time low during Carnaval. If I go, it will be more just to party and have fun. I'm not at all certain I am going, as my funds are at a low point at the moment, and I want to go to Costa Rica and/or Cuba later this year.

I've been going thru Mazatlan ever 2 months for the past 5 years.
Never stay at the El Cid or other places. Just throughing your money away.
When you get off the plane, only take the "Camunita" it's a van for 38 pesos. The taxies are $20 to $30. Never arive at night. The Taxies only run at night and no matter what you say they'll take you to the most expensive hotels. And of course they get a commission. Ask for the "Jakarandas" or the "San Diego" hotel's, It's $13 a night with Air in the "Jakarandas" and it's one block from the Valintios, Bora Bora, Oister, El Toro Bravo, Mundos Bananas, etc... Lots of FREE 18 years old pussy. *Warning* Don't let the Taxi cab driver help you with your luggage. You'll pay double for the hotel and he'll get a commission for SHOWING you the hotel.
Those are dance clubs. Not whore houses. Remember, in Mexico you pay for pussy at the border. In the interior it's all for free. So don't bother paying. But the good thing about Mazatlan. Is that you can find nice Whore houses. I'm Going there the second week of June. If you can wait. I can show you the time of your life.
But if your hell bent on waisting your time and doing it yourself.
The Barolitos, Tepache, Dos Gordos, Egypto, all these places have good cheap whores.

Remember, Mazatlan can be a nightmare. There's more Bandidos there then you can shake a stick at. *WARNING* at night on the beach. Don't drink, walk, talk, spit, anything, especially alone. I've paid a number of time for having. "Sex on the beach" but of course I was only walking alone.
Especially on "Isla de Piedras" the cops will rob you so bad you won't know which was is up.
Also, I've been taken many time on top of "El Faro" The worlds highest natural light house. In other words. If you stay in the Turst zones, you'll make it. If you do what I do, you'll get screwed. Unless your me, or with me!

I know practly every costal town in all of Mexico and I've been to every state in Mexico. And in my opinion Mazatlan has some of the most friendliest people. But it's one of the most dangerous places too. Don't walk alone at night. Especially if your not in the "Zona Dorada"

I usually stay in the very center of downtown Mazatlan, near the market. The hotel charges $30 a night, takes credit cards, colonial style. I have brought chicas to the room there.

Above all, don't make reservacions. Never necessary in Mexico. It just locks you into a high price. Every hotel in Mexico, large or small is half the price as advertised. There's two Zocalos one I call Plaza del Dr's, lots of Dr's. The other has a few hotels. With a few schools. It's two block east of the big church. Both have round plazas in the middle. I have stayed at a hotel at the very bottom of the map. There's a Pollo Loco at the top, by the deer monument.

El Chayo, Casa de Chayo, Doña Chayo. Different names same place, is still in business.
Prices are as follows 400 pesos simple session, I won't go into too much detail but I got a covered bj and a good unrushed session, about a half hour or so, hotel included. 650 pesos for 1 1/2 hours, she will go to your hotel but I chose to go to the same hotel around the corner 50 pesos more for room. Totally unrushed and very accommodating. The drill is you take a taxi or pulmonia (they all know where it is) to a house with a gated porch then about 6 to 8 girls assemble, you select one to talk to. After you have decided, you pay her through the gate and she goes in and comes back. Do not worry there's no funny business. For a full night it's $200.00 U.S. until the sun rises. I'm sure there are other options. They are open 8:00 pm to 4:00 am. Nice muchachas, but of course ymmv. On my way back to the airport I asked about other places like it and the driver told me of two. Just ask, the locations are common knowledge among the taxi drivers. When I was there the peso was N$9.60 to $1.00 you guys can do the math.
The prices for pulmonias are about 25 to 30 pesos from El Centro of old Mazatlán, and 50 pesos from the Zona Dorada. I was there in February of 2001. ¡Distruten amigos!

Things to do in Mazatlan during the day? Apart from beach activities, are there daytime mongering opportunities?

This message is to Westfargo. First of all, thanks for all the advice listed in your postings. I will use this knowledge religiously when I make my maiden voyage to Mazatlan. Now the rest. I am looking for all the advice you can give on a few subjects. I have already booked at the El Cid Morro, and I have read that it is impossible to get women in your room there. I have also read that a gracious tip to the security guard will cover that. I am not paying for this hotel stay. My grandparents have timeshares and give me a week a year so I plan on hitting every part of Mexico I can. I am taking two buddies and I want to be able to show them a great time. Besides the obvious,(RED DRAGON, etc.) where else should I go? I want young chicas with and reasonable prices, also FREE is good if you can elaborate on that. Any help you can offer is well appreciated. I will be there 10-17 of Sept. 2001. Also if there is stuff I should know that I didn't ask about, please by all means tell me. Thanks again

Be prepared for a bit of a letdown when you hit the Zona Rosa of Mazatlan. First off, its down a dirt road. 2nd, its real small. 3rd, it doesn't get started until 10 pm or so.

Selection isn't great,usually 2 or 3 in each place.If you don't find anything to your likeing,pass, and go on to the next place.
Probably a good idea to make a deal with the cabbie to stick around for a couple of minutes,tell him you are going in to look,if nothing looks good, have him take you to the next place,he is most assureadly getting a kick back so make him earn his money.
In Maxatlan,my problem is not having enought juice to go around.Pretty easy to find a nice bronzed 20 something looking to have fun.......Enjoy....

I'm making my first visit to Mazatlan 10/3-10/10, and I've gotten some really good info from Cap'n Crunch; he's been there many times over the last decade or two. As far as the free chicas thing goes, he recommends a disco called Alleluia's. I'll be going there on a Thursday night: ladies' night and Cap'n says it's easy to get picked up by an eager young Latina.

He also recommends hitting clubs like Valentino's, Bora Bora, and locals especially like the club Jungle Juice. Hope this helps you out. I'll be staying one block from Valentino's/Bora Bora, and the strip clubs Apachie's and Sinaloa are supposed to be nearby. The posts here are really good; have a hell of a good time and let us/me know how it went!

As promised I am going to recount to all of you my experiences in Mazatlan. First off, I would like to say that the women of Maz are evry bit as HOT as people have said, and they are plentiful.
I would like to quickly touch on a few off-topics before I give my run down. It has been reported that staying at the EL Morro and El CId are not good options for my fellow mongers. This is true but I think you should know that it can be arranged to get girls back to your rooms if you decide to stay there. My fellow monger and myself used 2 different methods to acheive this.
You can walk them right in or bribe security. I suggest walking in then if this fails of course the bribe would follow. To get the chicas in El Morro we simply sent them in a couple of minutes ahead of us, told them our floor number and they watied for us at the floor. We walked in a bit after them and it was no problem. As long as the girls do not look like street trash they will have no problem with getting in. El Morro actually plays host to alot of Vacationing Mexican families and there were alot of 18-20 year olds staying there when we were there. But if you somehow get caught, offer up a 100 pesos per girl and I am sure you will be cleared to go.
The other thing I would like to address is that there were a number of bars and clubs that I researched from this site that simply seem to be gone now. I am sure that these clubs come and go but I would like to put in a request for some veteran help here. My first trip to maz was the ice breaker for me, to get farmiliar with the scene, the town and the rituals, and have a good time as well. I would like to suggest that a gentlmen like Westfargo or another with allot of experience in Maz could do us all a gracious favor by simply re-ivestigating the entire Maz scene. As I said before, allot of places seem to be gone and I spent allot of time in a town I was not farmiliar with trying to find these places. It is just a thought for I know that allot of guys visit Maz regularly and this task would be easy for them with there various contacts.

And now the action: Sept. 10-17

Rerd Dragon: I was told by many upon arriving in Maz that the Red Dragon had folded. This was inaccurate but it may fold soon enough. The selection of ladies was poor and there were not many patrons either. I sampled here one time and to be honest it was the worst experience of the whole trip. But I will confess there is something about that place because I still had allot of fun there. Beware of a Fella by the name of "Tony Montana", he is bilangual and nothing more than a pimp and he will rip you off if you let him, negotiate any service with the girls, themselves, if at all possible.

Dos Gordos: I was looking forward to seeing this place and well...Sorry Fellas but it is a gay bar now. I went in twice and never saw a girl that had always been a girl. Needless to say I did not tase the goods here, not my CUP OF TEA.

Tepechei's: This place had some favorable reports on certain sites but I found it to be a let down. I was told the owner will not allow more than 5 girls to dance there. When I entered I saw only three, one of which I would have paid for.

Taranda's: This place is pretty good. 10-15 ladies working with 5-7 being attractive and a few knockouts. I did not taste here for I got sick of the quickie's in the backroom which is all you will get at the traditional strip clubs. Nevertheless the girls here are goodlooking and the beer in reasonably prices. I would recommend it.

Caballero's: Pronounced "Cabayito's". I spent a good portion of my time here. Much like Taranda's as far as number of chicas but I found more here to my liking. I sampled 4 myself during my week stay all were worth what I paid. Prices for full service will vary between 400-700 pesos, this varies largely by the number of girls, customers and what night it is as well as if she likes you. I say the last part because some girls won't do full service if they don't like you. My partner tried to have one and she would not go for it but I had her the next night for 600 pesos. So go figure?! All in all I had fun here and they treated us well. It is located on the same street as the Red dragon just not quite as far down, it is on the oppsite side of the rail road tracks in relation to the Red Dragon and Dos Gordos.

La Botanas: as advertiesed this place sports some beauties, but as advertised you better have wad of cash to get laid here. The girls are fine but exspensive, my buddy ended up giving 70 dollars for a hand job....POOR BASTARD!

Chayo: More of your trditonal mexican type brothel I would assume. just as reported a house on a dark street with a gate. you guys have all heard the rest. Depending on the night you will find as few as 3 or as many as 10 girls working with a few gems in the mix. Price for a 40 minute session is 450 pesos including the room. Be advised that there are 2 or 3 other places close by if chayo is sporting a poor selection. You may not find much better at them but it is worth a look. I don't have names but all the cabbies are farmiliar with them.

Massage Parlors: I only went to one because I had good luck with one I found but you know the saying so I stuck with it. I don't have a name for it because they simply didn't offer one and I did ask, but it is by the light house and the island on the south side of the beach. I am sure there are many more. I negotiated a three hour tour with a girl there and she came back to my room for 100 us dollars. She was worth it and there were many others there that I would have chose as well.

I know that the info I am providing you guys is spotty, however I am new to this and I plan on going back to Maz around February or so if any of you veterans would like to accompany me I would welcome you with open arms. Here is another tidbit of info I forgot to post. At Taranda's we were quoted a price of 200 pesos bar fine and 1000 pesos for the girl to leave for 2 hours. The girl was willing to go to our motel room but also she had one to go to for 150 pesos for the 2 hours. I did ask about similiar services at Cabellero'and while I did not actually go for it, similar services are available it really depends on how busy things are, I would guess. The girls are more willing to leave if things are slow.

Not exactly street girls but allot of the cabbies seem to have a line on all night girls and such, I would venture to say that it is a little luck and being able to speak the language, I took a couple of years of espanol in high school but I am considering taking a refresher at the local college. I would not be the least bit surprised to find out that there are SG in Maz, you just have to be resourceful to find them. I just got back from a 6 week tour of Acapulco all the way to Mazatlan. And I'm happy to report after 3 years of Cancun high prices in Mazatlan, the Sept, 11 attacts and two Hurricans have got the Mexicans retreating from the harden bomb shelters. In true Mexican fashion, just after the Sept, 11, the clubs were empty for a week so the owners of the clubs raised the prices of everything. That naturally made things worse, then the prices for everything crashed. Taxi cabs to Central Central are charging $25 instead of $50. I see lots of 3 for 1 offers on beer. Rosio's dad said he hasen't seen it this bad since 1994. I'm with him too. The Mexicans are laying off workers by the thousands in the Turists and manufacturing areas. Also, there LOTS of super beautiful girls out at night in very sexy clothes looking for sugar daddies. I went to the Cabarlitos night club in Zona 7 and I saw guys getting FUCKED for 10 pesos! Yes, girls dance naked on your table for 40 pesos. And if the guys roll down their pants with a hard on the gals sit right on their cocks. I saw two guys get fucked right in front of me for 10 peses each! And these gals are BEAUTIFUL! Also the Dragon Rojo is open again. Super beautiful gals and I had one of 70 pesos and 30 pesos for the room, I also fucked her all night long the next night. And I only paid for a Movie and 3 tacos.
