si, hay chicas en Veracruz.
There are both clubs and houses for take out. Ask cabbies or the staff in your hotel. I was there in late 1999. Paid $100 for 4 hours from a take out place called Eva's.
Here's how it worked. The cab driver pulled up in front of the house and honked. The girls came out & lined up on the street. YOu make your choice & off you go.
One night I didn't like the choices, so the cabbie took me to two other places. One required us to go in rather than sending girls to the street.
There was a night club that did great laps in the bar area and fs in the back in small cubicles. Total cost for fs was about $75, and laps were $5 each.No take out. Girls were outstanding! Sorry, I do not remember the name of the place, but it had a one-word name & was NOT in the downtown area near the square. I was there for a week and went 3 times....cabbies knew how to find it.
Street action is also available after 11 or so. Try the plaza downtown or the street that leads to the dock area...near the Emporio (sorry, I can't be certain of the name)Hotel was particularly good. $15 was the price quoted most often.
FYI, I spent some time in other cities in the state of Veracruz and found no action. Veracruz is a port city...lots of merchant marines from around the world along with Mexican tourists looking for action...so the supply has been provided to meet the demand....
happy hunting

Two additional notes:
Some hotels are VERY particular about letting girls in the rooms. Inquire when you make your reservation about visitors...I had to bribe a bellboy to sneak a chica up to my room.
I think the name of the club with laps was Fantasy, but I am not certain.
Much can change in 2 years, but when I was there the women were hot and the food was excellent! Seafood was outstanding... camarones con ajo and any type of fresh fish veracruz style...washed down with an Oso Negro beer...
A final note: If you go in August, book early! August is the high season for Mexican tourists.
Post a review when you return...maybe I will go back!

Salsa Boy,
I thought I had posted earlier but it did not take. I have been to Veracruz four times in the past three years.
Street Girl Action
Near the main downtown plaza where the families meet and dancing, sidewalk cafes, and vendors abound is the Plaza Zaragoza (three blocks). The girls cannot start until 8 PM and they shut down around 6 AM. The girls are 200 pesos and the hotels are as bad as the street girl hotels in Tijuana for about $5. The girls do not have timers in their heads and it is not uncommon to get an hour session. If you don't care for those hotels there are hotels the girls will go to for a $5 cab ride. These hotels are very clean and nice and have porno in the rooms. $11 for three hours in these rooms. Overnighters are not uncommon for $ 50 from 12 midnight until 5 am. Several nice ladies here - one is named Isabel and there is a half japanese half mexican beauty named blanca here also.
The other street action is on the Malecon from downtown to the Aquarium. Again normally 200 pesos and these girls use $11 hotel a few blocks away from the street that are very clean. There is one girl that is top of the line in body and face named Elexia. Isabel mentioned previously works the plaza til around midnight then transfers to the Malecon til the early morning.
Previously these girls stood on the Malecon next to the aquarium and I would often just sit and talk to them. This year at carnival time the tranvestites started overwhelming this area and the police order everyone at least a block off the Malecon. I don't know if the girls have been allowed to return. They had to give the police chief each 50 pesos a week to work the Malecon - with the move off the main drag there was no collection.
In general the talent level is down but there are a few very nice looking women. The women are friendly and like to talk - it is a far different environment than Tijuana. The women don't have the fear factor that the street girls in Tijuana posess.
Massage Parlors
The girls work outcall. You call the office from your hotel or motel. The girl and a guy come to your hotel for around $60 for at least an hour massage. You give the money to the guy and he takes off. The girl stays and gives usually a very bad massage, but the lady I got and I managed to stay with was a knock out. Afterwards she agreed to go to dinner with me off the clock. Probably the most beautiful women I have ever been with. On my next visit I called her direct and we went to lunch - I asked her to wear her black dress (she calls it the puta dress) - she knocked my socks off in that dress and the rest of the patrons at lunch. Honey skinned 26 years old with 36B very firm chichis and an ass to die for.
Restaurants and Bars
Lots of the local bars and a few restaurants have girls that are in there to talk to the customers - they will go to the room and spend the night if you connect but for the most part nothing special in the looks department. Also in the area around the Plaza Zaragoza there are some places that the girls sit when they get off work.
These restaurant girls are looking to make a little extra money and only work when they need to.
As a side comment during the lunch hours when you order a drink you will usually get a bowl of soup or something out of the kitchen. Seafood is very good and very cheap.
Topless/Bottomless Bars
There is one of these by Plaza Zaragoza but it is dumpy. They have a shower for the girls on stage.
There are several bars just off the Malecon south of the port to the aquarium. Beautiful women but I never really spent much time in here. I think for somethink like a 50 peso admission you get a drink and a free lap dance. Some of the bars had two or three drink minimum and I thought the most expensive beer was $3. They had private dance rooms also, but I really was not interested - I enjoyed the street girls and a waitress I got hooked up with at one of the restaurants.
Casa De Citas (sp)
These are usually very nice houses in the residential areas and they sometimes have about 9 to 13 girls. They vary in the way they handle things - in some they have open bar and the girls have a room to take you to. Others you pick her girl and walk to a motel/hotel down the street. Cost for these places vary from $60 to $100.
Hotels
I have always stayed at the Howard Johnson along the Malecon. The Junior Suite is about $60 a day and you have a view of the gulf if you request it and a nice balcony. I have been able to get the street girls and the girls along the malecon into it without a problem. This is a 15 peso taxi or 40 minute walk to plaza centro - taxis start at 15 pesos and the only time it is higher is for long rides and trips to the street girl hotels and the casa de citas,
The hotel that I said were $11 for three hours are about 200 pesos for all day. My problem is I like to look at the gulf when I wake up and before I go to sleep I like to bullshit with the hookers on the Malecon.
Safety
Very little crime and very very little hard drug use. The streets are safe at all hours and at all locations.
Danger
If you see a woman that is too good looking or is dressed to kill it could be a transvestite - in Veracruz it is not a problem to ask if a hooker if it has a panocha. Most women will not be offended and the TV will reply honestly from my experience.
There are just a lot of TV's and gays in the city.
High TV count and a high gay count.
Salsa Boy, if you want any detailed information - individual names, locations of girls, or massage girl telephone numbers just e mail me.
Veracruz is a wonderful inexpensive relaxing and very tranquillo vacation getaway.

Spent (4) days in Veracruz about (3) months ago.
Can't disagree with the contents of the previous
posts, but, I wouldn't rate it high enough to be
a "destination". The street girls weren't at all
appealing. The casas de cita are expensive and worst of all, by 2 am the whole place is dead.
The one high end strip club by the playas is ok,
but everything is timed by the song. You wind up
paying more for the dance's then for the sexo.
There are a couple of saloons downtown that have
cerveza de barril ie. mexican beer on tap, this is
something you rarely see and is really good.
Don't miss the Museum of the Mexican Navy, it's in
an actual naval school. While it didn't appear that the Mexican navy had a particulary glorius
history, the museum is excellent. Best of all, you
are assigned your own 19 year old female naval cadet for the one hour tour. She babbled on and on in spanish about the exhibits and I just kept
nodding my head and smiling. I asked her to dinner
and spent sat. night with a true non pro.
I'd also mention that the beachs aren't anything
like Aucapulco. In total, I think you get a lot
more for your money in Mexico D.F. Don't believe
the BS about how dangerous it is. If you can navigate in TJ, You'll have no problem in D.F.
If it's beaches you want Aucapulco is much wilder
and You're money goes a lot further.
Every chica I met in Veracruz asked the same
question. Trabajas in el barque? The correct response in an emphatic No, estoy hombre de negocios. It seems that opinions about merchant
sailors are the same everywhere.

GO TEAM!!!!...you guys are great, all this information is more than I had hoped for. I think this site and it's players score the highest points (compared to others) for helping each other out...thats cool. We all like to have fun and enjoy life, and for me travling, experiencing different cultures, and partying with there most beautiful woman is hard to top. Until I'm ball and chained, I'm gonna keep Trojan/lifestyles in business.

Perorojo,
Can't disagree with your post on Veracruz in regards to the beaches and the typical street girl.
Veracruz certainly has no white sand - the beach has the consistency of the beaches in Playa del Rey.
Most of the street girls really are not very attractive; however, they are very nice people. I have spent many hours standing and talking to them and I enjoyed it. Overnights for $50 are not out of the question and 200 pesos for a session that can easily last an hour are the norm. I have never had a street girl tell me that she has to get back on the street.
However, I have been with two street girls in Veracruz - one by the Aquarium and one by El Portales that rank among the most beautiful women I have known. Granted the others are not in this class but there are enough for my tastes. My one and only massage girl also drove me bananas with her looks and body - so much so that I did not want to consider doing anyone else.
I have been to the clubs (topless and bottomless) and don't particularly care for them. Don't care for the crowds and the loud noise - although the price is very reasonable.
Veracruz is not for everyone. Last March I went there for Carnival and did not like it as much. Too many people the prices were up on the hotel and the restaurants.
Veracruz other than at carnival time is a very tranquillo city. I have an amiga that works a bar/restaurant in Centro. She is a very warm affectionate lady that when she spends the night asks me if I can give her 200 pesos.
Taxis are 15 pesos for the same length as a typical Tijuana $5 taxi. The outdoor plaza is surrounded by sidewalk cafes and restaurants where you can people watch to your hearts content. The music and dancing (danzon) is extremely entertaining at the outdoor plaza. Cervesa at the neighborhood bars varies from 7 pesos to 10 pesos. If you are in these bars at lunch time they throw in a soup or some munchies for free. My Howard Johnson hotel for $60 a night has a view of the Gulf of Mexico and a fresh seabreeze anytime other than from June to August.
I went to Veracruz for the first time about two years ago because a favorita kept telling me how beautiful it is - I have been there four times since and I spent New Year's 2000 and Carnival 2001 there.
The beauty for me is in the people and their friendliness to me. English is not common there, but I have had people go out of their way to walk me to a bus stop. At least hree times on my last visit I gave the taxi 200 peso instead of 20 pesos and the driver told me I made a mistake - can you figure any other city that that would happen in.
On a typical day I love waking up in the morning and walking one block to the beach and have pina and watermelon for breakfast. Then I hit the internet and the bars at lunch - go to Caliente to bet the games I studied on the internet. Then go back to the hotel for a nap and a wake up around 6 PM for dinner and more Caliente followed by a 9 PM street girl. I usually wind up coming back to my hotel between midnight and 3 AM and stop and talk to the streetgirls by the aquarium. If I am too tired to take her back to my hotel I simply make arrangements for her to come over the next morning about 10 AM. Life for me doesn't get any better.

El Chochino, did you see the ruins of Zempoala while you were there?
HJ's sounds like a decent hotel 484pesos 50.00 bucks a night. Is it located close to the SG action on Malecon? Where is the aquarium located in relation to the hotel?
Can you describe the chicas down there a little more? por favor. I agree with you, a chica who is friendly and has a good corazon is very special, and fun to be with.

Salsa Boy,
Getting a the Howard Johnson room for $50 a night is a pretty good price. My advice is deal directly with the hotel on the internet or via phone if you speak spanish. The fax will work also - the last time booking through the the US was a mess - my buddy and I arrived for the Carnival with no reservations and not enough rooms - we got stuck at $90 a night and had to share a room. HJ in the US finally gave us some minor financial compensation but not nearly enough.
Most of the street girls are morena's and although friendly are not that attractive. Perrorojo is right on the money with his comments on that subject; however, I did find three (IMHO) very good looking girls and they were not camera shy and not fearful of a me. I will try and provide a link so you can see some of the women - I did get prior permission from the girls to show their pictures.
Sorry to say I did very little sight seeing - I did not see the ruins, but I did see the house of Cortez, and took several side trips to Boca Del Rio for sea food and the boat cruise. I had previously been to Villa Hermosa and got a chance to see Palenque so seeing the ruins here were not something I cared that much about. I wish I had tried what Perrorojo did as far as the museum and the tour from a female cadet - I did notice a lot of very cute and attractive cadets, but they were not all that agreeable on letting me take their pictures.
The Howard Johnson is at Blvd Avila Comacho No. 1263 - telephone 931-00-11 Fax 931-08-67. They also have an E Mail address I could probably find if needed. Very little english by most of the front desk staff so it is difficult to talk to them over the phone. There usually is a girl in the daytime and the manager who do speak decent english. There is an indoor pool on the 6th floor. The Hotel not great by US standards but it is clean, most importantly it has air conditioning and the front faces the gulf and I use to be able to see my street girl friends from my room.
This HJ is directly accross the main street from the gulf. The Aquarium is about three blocks south of the hotel and the street girls (if police still have not let them back on the Malecon) would be a block inland from the Aquarium. Also another spot for street girls is right where the port end (eight block north of HJ) and around the Tierra & Mar Hotel.
One other thing I forgot to mention showing how nice the people were. Some guy in downtown Veracruz told us that we needed to see the river sandy picnic area around it in Cordoba, close to the Cortez house. Anyway my buddy and I walked about 8 miles and when we got to the spot where we were suppose to go we were very disappointed. Then we started walking to look for a place to get a drink when this mexican woman and her son and daughter saw us walking - they were having lunch in their backyard. We asked her where a place to get a drink was and she told us two blocks down. Then she just asked us if we would like to have lunch with her and her son and daughter. We were honored by the invitation, but we needed to get some cold cervesa at the general store.

El Cochino,
Thanks for the Howard Johnsons info, it helped alot.
I LOVE morena girls, so what you said is music to my ears. I find my preferences to be a litte different form your average hombre, as I prefer a more average(chica at the market(girl next door)) type of chica.
The aquarium (largest in Latin america) sounds like a fun visit, along with the navel academy, museums etc..
I plan on e-mailing you directly this weekend for more details. I appreciate your helpfulness.
Have a great weekend!

Fishing license. I would like to do some surf-casting while down here in VC. Will I need to get a license?
SB
By El_Cochino on Sunday, July 08, 2001 - 10:40 am: Edit |
Salsa Boy,
I would not plan on doing any fishing in Veracruz.
Instead take a $9 cab ride or 25 centavo bus ride to Boca Del Rio - about 10 miles south. You can catch the bus or the taxi on the Malecon to Boca De Rio.
Along the water in BDR there is a guy that will take you fishing or sightseeing either in the fresh water or out to the open sea. Around this area you will find red snapper, mojado, and other kind of fish depending on the time of the year.
I think the rate is about $8 and hour for a good size boat with a canopy available. I have been told Dorado and even tuna are available. Also you will see the shrimp fishermen here also.
The skipper's a good friendly guy and if you want for about $25 he will take you by boat back to the Port of Veracruz. The skippers got one wife and about four women in town that have his kids.
I don't think you need license but the captain will let you know - also don't worry about bringing equipment as they have what you need there.

EL Cochino,
Don't get me wrong, I'm not slamming Veracruz,I'm only saying that it's not the best value in mexico. Indeed, my motivation for visiting, was your earlier posts on Redsnake. But I think you'll have to admit that you are something of a cheerleader for this town.
It's definitly worth a visit, but my point is don't overlook Mexico D.F. , especially since you'll have to pass thru wheather you go to veracruz either by bus or by plane.
consider this:
Hotels;
That same $55-60 gets you a very nice hotel in D.F.
Cabs;
Those 15 peso cab rides in Veracruz are not all that far, in D.F. 20 pesos will take you most anywhere in the largest city on earth.
Climate;
The temp in july in Veracruz will be rather stifling, D.f. is cooler and less humid.
Women;
No matter how you cut it, there are several million more women in D.F. There truly are coed type girls on the streets. The casas de cita are actually cheaper then Veracruz. The newspapers are full of ad's for 2 hours for $70 - 100. There is even a web site with hundreds of adds.
Treatment of Americans;
Veracruz is actually very used to seeing foriegners. Outside the tourist areas in Mexico city, they are surprised to meet any anglo that can put even a simple sentance together in spanish. Also Veracruz seems fixated on the danzon, in D.F. you can find bars with every sort of dance music including the northern mexican stuff we're used to from tj and south texas.
Also there is a lot more to do on weekday's then in Veracruz.
All i'm saying is that they are so close geographicly that it makes sense to see both.
By El_Cochino on Tuesday, July 10, 2001 - 08:00 am: Edit |
Perorojo,
I don't disagree with your comments at all. I think they are all valid - I just enjoy the slow paced action of Veracruz. Everytime I have come back I feel very relaxed except during my last visit at Carnival.
After spending about 8 days in Veracruz during the Carnival I found myself going a little crazy with the crowds, the music all night, and the pandemonium I came back to the US and spent the next three days in Tijuana.
Tijuana was better for me because for the first time it actually was more tranquillo than Veracruz. Besides never going at Carnival time I would never go to Veracruz in June, July, or August. Although you get the breezes it is just too hot and humid for me to enjoy myself.
I have been to Mexico City and enjoyed it even if it was 15 years ago. I enjoyed the tourist things but I did not enjoy the traffic the fast pace and the congestion - and that was 15 years ago.
By Pacifico on Tuesday, July 24, 2001 - 09:29 pm: Edit |
I recently paid a visit to Veracruz.
I checked out several of the "casas de citas" in Veracruz and all of them ranged from 500-600 pesos for 2 hours at your own hotel. You really have to be descriptive with the cab driver as far as what you are looking for, since there is such a wide range of places. It is a weird experience to walk into one of these places and take a seat on the sofa with chicas all around you watching tv. Some places were that relaxed, while others had a formal lineup. Some have all older women (around 30+) and some of them had very young chicas (around 18-19). I can imagine that there are cheaper places, but I made it clear to the taxi drivers that I was more concerned with quality than price. I ended up with a very cute light skinned sandy-blond/brunette 19 year old, who was dressed practically in office attire. To my surprise, when she took off her vest, she uncovered a nice set of natural D's.. For the life of me, I can't remember the name of the place, but the chica's name was Samantha. In that particular house, I don't think there was a single girl over the age of 20.

I also recently returned from eight days in Veracruz but spent my time with one chica that i went to visit so i didn't get to check out the mongering scene.
These places where you can get the girls for two hours to your hotel sounds interesting and the prices seem a pretty good deal.when we needed a little air conditioned luvin and privacy from her family I spent some afternoons with the chica i visited in a pretty nice drive in love motel which must be pretty similar to TJ's Motel Parador. This place was called Motel Venus and the taxi would pull right in to a garage connected to a room. It's on a main drag and any taxi driver there should know where it's at.It had air conditioning, cable TV w/porno,king size bed.a nice shower, bidet for the chica,a sunken living room area with a nice couch and chair for trying various positions and all in all was a nice place. They charged 170 pesos for two hours, would gladly let you extend time, and would deliver beer, cocktails, and snacks/sandwiches to your room off thier menu if you called the desk and ordered. There were several other motels set up like this bit this looked like the nicest one i saw. These type places could work out pretty good with the "Casas de Citas" Pacifico describes above.
Also i saw one bar there that an ex TJ chica described to me as being a bar like Adelitas but the hotel was down the street instead of nextdoor. This bar was called Bar Monterrey and was located at the corner of Sanchez-Tagle and E.C. Rebsamen.Unfortunately i didn't get a chance to check this bar out more closely.

Hey Taxi..Does your amiga happen to work @ CC..???
By El_Cochino on Wednesday, July 25, 2001 - 12:39 pm: Edit |
There are several places like Motel Venus throughout Veracruz. There are many on the North and of town and several just inland from the aquarium.
The price seems to have gone up since July the price for the three motels I used at night was 110 pesos for three hours. All were air conditioned (a must) and all have large spacious private rooms with the connecting garages. Also through the trap door little opennings they will bring you change or refreshments or food. During Carnival one very hard working chica took to the four different motels until we found one that had a room open for short time. These motels were about 200 pesos to rent for the whole night.
Maybe the price for short time is higher due to the peso being stronger? From these rooms a lot of people call the outcall massage girls and they will come directly to these rooms from their dispatch centers.

She retired about 6 months back but the last place she worked was AB.

I saw several other motels like this also but this one was pretty decked out and really upkept well possibly accounting for a higher price.I wish i knew they didn't charge much more for all night at these places.Something i'll have to keep in mind in the future.

There some nice looking girls passing out flyers from Tabu strip bar but I did not go. Ok i skipped over Jalapa and made it straight down from Puebla to Veracruz, here is my report.
FIrst of there is plenty of street action right next to and around Plaza Indepencia. You do not have to venture much further than the immediate surrounding areas. On Zaragoza there is a strip club callled Gigolos, did not go in. IN the plaza in front of that there are workers hanging around after 11 PM. But check this out. THe main plaza really comes alive after 8 or 9 and there are alot of fichas and working girls who hang out at the tables, outside the restuarants of the hotels. The best place is right on the corner of Lerdo and Zaragoza I believe. Just sit there after 9 or 10 and you will see what I am talkng about. About 10 alot of old white guys come out looking for action. There is a bar where alot of the working gals go across the street called Translvania. I was there 2 nights ago but some rich fucking white guy had all the gals at his table and was throwing money around, (milky, stay away).
Ok here is my report from last night. I found a cab got inside and asked for a casa de citas. We went about 5 minutes from Centro into a residential area. Went into a house. THere sat about 8 girls in a living room. None were all that great. I chose to leave, onto the next one, 5 more minutes driving around in the vicinity. CAme unto another one, I believe the name was Carmans. Same thing, got out into the house and there were about 8 to 10 girls sitting on couches. This one had some good looking chicas, I couldn{t decide. 2 more guys walked in and took 2 chicas to the back room for negotiations and I was thankful cause they narrowed it down. I cute gal was smiling at me so i took her off the couch into the back room. IN the back room you negotiate. She offered full service for $70! SHe said I have 1 hour and I could only cum once! What the fuck. I threw 2 hours unlimited sex back at her for $80. SHe told me to wait while she asked the lady in charge. SHe cam back in with $90, fuck that, I said good night and left. Onto the next. I entered the living room of the next one. There were only 2 real cuties sitting on the couch. I immediatley saw the one i liked. SHe was really really dark and had nice soft skin and a great ass under her skirt. A real beutiful face. So back room negotiations began. She wanted $60 for 1 and a half hours. I gave her the 2 hours unlimited for $80, she agreed.
We went to a near by hotel. Hotel was nice, $13. NExt time I am just going straight to the casa de citas and just sleeep over at the hotel for god sakes. Anyway, we get in the room and this girl has some beautiful dark soft skin. When she let down her hair, I knew she was a mulatta. She told me her mother was black, maybe that explains for her shaply ass. Anyway, had a nice 2 hour GFE, lots of kissing and she was very playful but dirty. SHe was saying all this shit in spanish and the harder I fucked her the dirty verbally she got. This gal was very vocal, moaning and groaning at the slightest touch. An all out goo experience. I will go to another casa de citas tonight maybe.
OK here is the price break down, remember all the prices here are quoted and are in pesos, but I will do in dollars.
Cab ride to 3 different casa de citas and to the hotel $15 (i know it is expensive and I got ripped but i was not going to argue)
2hours of sex $80
hotel room $13
cab ride for her to the casa and me to my hotel $4
So the total is...$112.
i do not know if that is good or bad, maybe a little high. I will see if I can beat that price tonight then report back tomorow.

I have never had a bad time with Mexican black girls. They are above average providers and will accept a much lesser amount.

Ok here is night number two. I had a threesome and a TLN after with one of the girls. I went to another Casa de Citas. i picked two chicas. ONe was about 24 and had really, really , realllly big tits, i really encouraged her to go to L.A. where she could make a fortune in the porn business. the other about 30 with two kids and you could tell, but she had a great attitude and really loved to fuck she was telling me that she was a dirty puta that loved all kinds of dick. the younger one had a less satisfying attitude. i gave them 150 pesos extra so that they would suck each others tits, it was really great sucking on the younger ones huge nipples while her friend did as well and i was pumping her full of lead. after our threesome, i asked the older one back to my hotel to do some more damge, attitude can make a whole lot of difference, we had a hot dog, went back to my room and did the nasty, she left at about 5 AM.
Price break down.
two girls 70 each
13 for room
15 each for lesbain action (just sucking on each others tits.
TLN 100.

Are you by any chance writing down the names and locations of the casas de citas? It would be nice if the next monger to venture to Veracruz didn't have to reinvent the wheel.
BTW I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the fee includes a kickback to the taxista who took you there.

well i have to be honest i have been drinking when i go to the casa de citas. but all you have to do is get any taxi from lerdo and zaragoza on that corner there, you will be in good hands. just make sure you ask the taxi driver how much. you wonīt have to pay more tahn 4 bucks if you negotiate, if you donīt you may pay like 8 bucks. the casa de citas are very close to centro. sorry guys i did not get names or locations, but you will be ok with out, i was. and secondly, i was in school in guadalajara, but the quarter ended, i am rolling around now. today i am in oaxaca.

Interesting thread and great info. provided. I just wish there were a few pics to accompany all the posts. Veracruz is definitely on my to-do list.
Incidentally, the original name of the town was given in 1519 and was called La Villa Rica De La Vera Cruz (The Rich City Of The True Cross) It was given that name by early 16th century Spanish Conquistador, Hernan Cortes.
He and his men were ordered back to Spain under the command of Diego Velazquez, Governor of Cuba. But Cortes refused, stating that as long as he had justifiable grounds not to set sail back to Spain, meaning if he founded and colonized an area within this new land (Mexico), he could continue his quest of conquering the New World. And so La Villa Rica De La Vera Cruz was founded, which is now known as Veracruz.

Just came back last week from a three week driving trip thourgh Mexico. I'm 100% gringo but i plan on living in Veracruz, as it is the most relaxing place i've been. I got along without speaking much spanish as the folks there are very providing. My wife and i have some property there and plan on buying more. Action there is varies, cheep (malacon girls) to expensive house girls.

Passed a week in Veracruz. The Malecon is a lot tamer than it used to be, but there are still a few girls up during the week. I drove by on Saturday night and didn't see much more action.
All the action now seems to be on the streets. After 2100 the 'girls' come out in considerable force near the Zocalo & Plaza Zaragoza).
Problematically, it's much more equal opportunity than before. I spoke with a taxista about this problem and he explained that the real girls were moving to Cancun.
Regardless, while the mannish faces tend to give them away, you might want to make sure you do a short arm inspection before finalizing your choice.
The Transilvania bar was dead on a Thursday when I went in. The 'trans' doesn't mean what it would mean in the us -- just a karaoke place where hookers hang out.
I stopped in to a place I think was called 'La Vento', which I know makes no sense, but there it is. It's right around the corner from the HI-Centro, where I was staying. I met and took home a lovely lady with some baby fat left on (I'm guessing from a second child) and a fabulous rack.
TLN for 'Some money for taxi'.
The LaVento place is a ficha bar, nominally, with all the girls wearing see through clothes. They offer $100 privadas, but nothing happens in the privadas so don't bother.
And I went to the acquarium and the naval museum.

What is a "malacon girl"?
By The Gnomes of Zurich on Sunday, July 09, 2006 - 11:52 am: Edit |
The Malecon is a big side-walk running along the pierside. Malecon girls are, wait for it, girls that work the Malecon.
As I mentioned last year, the Malecon scene died out a bit when the economy tanked--the good looking chicas headed out for TJ to make bigger dinero. The result: some of the girls on the Malecon aren't girls.
But the point is: Malecon girls = cheep.
