I am going to fly to D.F. and hop a bus to ACA. The question is can I catch a bus at the airport or near the airport? I have done this trip before last year from the Central Del Sur station on the Estrella de Oro line. It would be nice not to have to take that cab ride from the airport and just get on the bus when I arrive. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know the answer to your question, but I know who probably would. There's a Marriott literally attached to the airport. They have plenty of desk clerks that speak English. Why not give them a call and ask them? If need be, you can pretend like you might want to stay there before your bus trip...
PS - I suspect their phone number can be found on Marriott's web site.

What is the cab far from the airport to the Central Del Sur?

All cab fares are fixed from the airport to anywhere in the Metro area. Just go to the taxi booth near baggage claim or just outside of customs. My guess is that you will be in the $13 - $15 range. There is another bus station call autobuses del norte but both stations are equidistant from the airport. And the bus from the south should be more regular and cheaper.

Pks2141,
If Roberto is headed Acapulco the southern station is the best choice. I am not even sure that the north station has salidas for Acapulco.
As you said, cab fare will probaby be 135 pesos to the southern station.
good luck Roberto. Last time I bussed to Aca i used Linea Diamante. It was ok and was less than 400 pesos if I remember right.

The bus I will hopefully be taking both ways is $245 pesos. Your cab fair sounds about right. I was hoping it might be a little less. What they need are buses that go to ACA from the airport. That would make too much sense! Kind of like the bus line reservation system that allows you too make reservations on line. I came to find out that you then have to pay for the ticket in person 24 hours before departure. The idiots don't allow you to pay online. How am I supposed to get there 24 hours before I get there?

Roberto,
I forgot about the wonderful reservation system. That happened to me too. But I doubt you will have much problem getting a seat.
There are some direct buses from the airport to various destinations. They leave from the national arrivals area. If you are arriving in International go through immigration and into the terminal and then go left all the way down to national.
It used to be that you could walk from international arrivals to national arrivals without going through immigration and come out in the national arrivals terminal. Thats how the strip clubs were sneaking in eastern european women, but I digress.
I believe that they only buses I saw run to Cuernavaca and Queretaro. But if they are runnning to Cuernavaca maybe they are running all the way to Acapulco. Its probably worth checking out. The line I saw was Pullman de Morelos.
Have fun man and give us a report.
