I won't get a chance to get down to Nogie for a few weeks. But I was wondering if anyone has been down recently - and noticed any difference. Are there fewer gringos? Fewer chicas? Are chicas going home for a few weeks? If there are fewer gringos, is this translating into better bargains? I might be tempted to get down there sooner if my bargaining power might be better.
Thanks in advance -

Mr Bill
According to my friend, who works on the US side near the border. There are lines coming back across with waits up to an hour, with pedestrians about 10-15 mins at peak.
The clubs clientele are down from the gringos, but about the same for the locals ( who don't buy as much privados or laps). Placers should be hard hit because about 60% of its clientele the last time I was there, were young american guys/students, who are the ones staying away now..so I imagine after a coupla o' days w/o the good gringo dollars, bargains will abound. I plan on going next week, possibly Tues.

Thanks, OG.
I kind of thought it wouldn't affect Nogie much because I imagine most gringos just drive from Tucson or Phoenix.
Do me a big favor and write a report, or at least e-mail me (or PMS me) on your trip next week. (Tuesday could be one HELL of a bargain...) Horny minds want to know...

I went down last Tuesday Night (yes 9-11). I had to blow off some steam. Arrived about 9:30. Only went to Lipstick and Placer's. Lipstick had a decent selection but a small crowd. Prices on Tuesday were $5.00 table and $12 privado. I also went to Placer's. Again a decent selection but even fewer people. Probably about 5-10 customers. They fucking raised the prices on drinks. A beer is $3.00 now. Still $9 table and $22 privado. However, always ask the ticket seller about 2-for-1 time for the privados. 12 minutes for $22 is a lot better than $22 for 6 minutes and was easily obtainable simply by asking.
Border crossing was not a problem either way, although when I came back it was 12:30am. Asked if the border was in danger of being closed that night and was informed it would only be closed by order of the President.

Ask for Tony the boletero. He runs a deal where he gives you two for one any day of the week in the privados. Just be sure and tip him.

Tony works in Placers by the way.

Went to Nogie Saturday night, 9/29.
Cherry's - pretty dead, plenty of hotties, though. Should get good mileage.
Lord Black's - packed! Apparently recession-proof, at least on that Saturday.
Rio's - seemed same as always, not too busy, not too slow.
I did notice that privates seemed to be lasting longer, but I don't know if that's because guys were paying extra or not. I happened to notice because I was always waiting for a chica that was in the private room...

Weeknight action since 9-11?
Hola, Hombres.
I'm wondering what weeknight action (in the clubs) is looking like down in Nogie since 9-11. Someone told me that many girls are staying home and not working because they can't make any money on weeknights (!) Fuck, I'll pay em'!! Is it worth going on Tues-Thurs lately?
How about bar fines? I wouldn't mind paying a small bar fine if I could get a chica out of there for an hour or two. Anyone know what the going bar fine rates are - and if they're cheaper on weeknights?
A dying to get laid on-the-cheap kind of guy, MrBillO-

I have a couple of friends (dancers) that are staying home during the week for the following reasons:
1. It costs them $15.00 in taxi cabs to get to and from work (p/u children etc). I.e. $75.00 (sun - thu).
2. They pay about $75.00 a week in babysitting.
3. They are not making any money sitting at the clubs Sunday through Thursday because it's been horribly dead since the 9-11 incident.
4. If they want to eat, or drink, they are out that amount as well.
It's a grim situation at best. I hope it straightens out before they find real jobs. ;-)

Oops - per my post above - I made a typo - it was Placer's that was packed last Saturday. I'm boycotting Lord Blacks, so I don't know about it since 9-11. MrBillO-

I been down several times since the 11 Sept. Things are slower. But the prices are the still same. The bars and girls are used to the prices and are not likely change their ways right away. Don't know where these bar manager got the business know how - why would they raise the beer prices at Placer's when things slowed down. They should try to encourage customer back with two for one beers and things like that! I guess things don't have to make sense in Mexico.
