Has anyone been to boystown since our national tradegy? I'm planning on going this weekend and wonder about the action in boystown and the border crossing. I'm flying in for the weekend from Florida. Been there many times before and always enjoyed it.

I too am making a trip to BT this weekend (first time.) I would be interested in meeting someone to, perhaps, walk into the first couple places with (you know, learn the ropes, the way around.) Anyone up to helping out?

Also, I was planning on staying on the TX side within walking distance but I noticed in another thread, people talking about a place called the Santa Maria? Is this a "nice" place (by U.S. standards,) on the mexican side? How can I get reservation info if it is?

The Santa Maria is as nice as any hotel on the US side, with maybe the exception being the La Posada (a 4 or 5 star Hotel). The Hacienda is very nice also. Has a new wing of rooms. Very, very nice. Advantage of staying in Mexico: If you are looking for an allnighter, go for it. Makes it very easy to take a gal back to a very nice room. The Santa Maria and Hacienda are both a $10 cab fare from the border, as is the zona (Boystown). It's about a $5 cab fare from the Hotels to the Zona.

Here's some phone #'s for you.

Santa Maria US toll free 888-742-4313
Mexico # from the US 011 52 87 15 88 70

Hacienda toll free from US 800 749 9403
In Mexico from the US 011 52 87 17 00 00

There's also a new Hilton Hotel. It's said the rooms are $95 US. Maybe $10 more than the Hacienda or Santa Maria. I don't have a # for them.

If you can, wait until the weekend of October 12th/ 13th and meet up with the group of guys.
Or maybe if you like what you see this weekend, come back in a few weeks when we plan a get together.

First time in Mexico for the Zona, I would play it safe and stay on the US side. Maybe the La Quinta or La Posada. There's an area to park on the US side under the bridge by the mall. Walk across and find a taxi near the Plaza/park a few blocks in. The cab fare will be $10. Just ask for boystown. You can never be too careful. It ain't as mean as TJ, but don't be careless.

look on the old worldsexguide.org and read the old posts. It's old stuff, but still have very helpful info for landmarks and such. That will make you ride to the zone much less nerve racking, seeing the things you heard about. I also heard they had a few updates over there since somebody took it over again, I need to check it out.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info RT.

An allnighter is definately on the adgenda for Sat night if I find a girl I like and she is willing.

Is that somthing you ask for outright? I mean, it sounds like when you are in one of the big clubs, it is by the hour...

What is a good $$$ figure to shoot for for an overnight?

I have read the WSG posts. I am a litle concerned about the cab ride. How long shouild it take to get to BT from the bridge?

By Wilco on Tuesday, September 25, 2001 - 02:32 pm:  Edit

The cab drive from the bridge is 10-15 minutes. Just walk across the bridge and you will see taxis across the street.

Allnighters are not exactly typical in NL. Of course, you would need a hotel there. I would'nt suggest requesting an allnighter till you've had a session at the club with someone you know you like. Of course, there are always variables and anything can happen (especially in NL), but your best bang for the buck will be thru ingratiating yourself over time, and taking it slow. The fees vary dramaticaly, but as rodetrip has mentioned, once your locked in, it's hard to go back. Often times, the very same chica that charges one guy $3-$400 for allnight will accept $1-$200 from another - and it's not usually based on looks, but circumstances. Confused yet? I certainly am :)

Confused?

I should say so but, at least I have some direct questions answered.

I think I am going to plan on rooming on the MX side. My only concern with booking there was whether I would be able to bring a lady back to the room with me (in some tourist areas, as I understand it, you cannot take a local to your room for one reason or another.) I tend to stay in fairly nice places anyway and if Santa Maria is the kind of place where I will be happy then I will give it a try. Otherwise, Hilton Garden Inn is a pretty decent hotel itself, I saw that on travelocity but wondered how far it woud be from there to BT. My rental car precludes me from driving in MX (as many do, I believe,) but if it is safe to park, walk, and cab, then I am cool. Speaking of, I take it cabs are plentiful at all hours when leaving BT?

I am looking forward to my trip... And posting my first trip report.

Boystown made easy. I have been there many times and suggest the following.

Stay on the US side (I like the Hampton Inn or Marriott Courtyard). Both hotels are located very close to the border and range from $70-$90 (with AAA discount). They are clean and nice, with no surprises.

Action within Boystown does not not start until later in the night, usually around 9:00 or 10:00pm.

Drive your car to bridge #2, which is the pedestrian bridge located by a mall. There is a big parking lot. Simply park your car there and walk across the bridge. You will see border patrol cars driving around and parked.

Across the bridge look for taxi cab. There is usually always one parked there. Tell the taxi driver you want to go to boystown (He'll will know, even if you don't speak Spanish). The ride there is $10.00. There are always taxi's waiting at Papagayus to take you back to the border, again it will be $10.00. Just walk back over the bridge to the parking area.

I strongly suggest the taxi route. I believe it is much safer then taking a car.

Usually you are dropped off at Papagayus (sp?), which is the best place in boystown.

The boystown area is walled-in and consists of approximately 4 streets. The best places to go are all on the street where Papagayus is located. Tamyeko, Maribu, and Papagayus give you high quality girls ranging from $60-$80 you can usually bargain down to $60.00. The price of the room adds approximately $10.00. Each one of these places has their own room!!! No need to go back to your hotel, very convienent. Avoid the donkey show, Western Club, and some of the other bars unless you like transvestites. The three places mentioned before only have girls, but don't be so sure everywhere else. If you do go into the other places, look at the adams apple.

There are also "street girls" that have little rooms all along the boystown streets. They charge anywhere from $15-$30. They are a good way to get started and get the initial "excitement" worked of before the more expensive girls. Not much to the sex. They will lay on their back until you finish, or unless you negotiate something else (i.e. perito - doggie style). About as business like as it gets. Just walk from room to room until you find one you like. I sometimes like this type of sex. I mentioned TV's earlier, but all of the "street girls" - to my knowledge - are actually girls.

Overall boystown is pretty safe. Alot of security and police. One time I was there, some local asked me for money and started to bother me. Within minutes police came over and talked to him.

I hope this helps. Great place to go.

One question for all the visitors to boystown.
How is the wait in getting back into the U.S.?
Has the wait changed much since the terrorist attack? A TJ monger wants to know.

Who knows anything abotu Rio Grande Plaza.

On a map, it looks like it is the cheapest / closest place. Am considering staying there s I do not have to drive once back in the U.S. While getting sloppy drunk is out oif the question for security reasons, I do expect to be under the influence of SOMTHING by then and I do not want to take any chances.

Shorts, Friend, lovinmarvin;

Rio Grande Plaza/Tower-- I've stayed here many times, going back to when it was HoJo's.
This place is slightly dated, but is your best bet
for a BT base. The rooms are huge and very clean.
Lots of places to hide your cash etc. Absolutly the biggest beds you've ever seen. Either show a business card or tell them that your a long hall trucker and you won't pay more than 80. Its a pleasant 4-5 minute walk to the bridge and they have some half assed security for your car.

At the end of a long night, it's a simple stumble back. Never a wait to get back across la linea on foot. The only wait I've encountered was when I partied till 7 or 8 am and mixed in with sat am shoppers.

There is always something going on in Bt from about noon on. Some SGs have thier doors open.
There is a small day shift at Papagayas, and a lot of the girls who rent rooms in the compound are walking around on errands. They will always respond to a smile and a que pasa.

Don't neglect the smaller places. The tv's aren't that hard to weed out. Virtualy none of them have any tits so just put your hand down the top.
Many of the new arrivals/younger/less experienced girls work in the small bars at least at first.
