There is a hotel I am ssing on the net, the Hacienda Real. This is a Mexican chain, on eof which I stayed at in Cancun (yes, I know, like THAT is Mexico.)
The reason i am bringing this up in a post is because they are offering exceptional rates (like $73 for a suite,) for weekends. They say they are locaed downtown. i am wondering where this is in and how much $$$ I am looking at for a cab to go to BT or the Bar district.

As for the Hacienda:
I asked around in BT about local hotels and was informed that Hotel Hacienda was the best in NL. I am returning this weekend (yes, already,) and am staying there. I was unable to book the SWEET (suite) rates through travelocity but was able to get a rate through the hotel chain website of $81 per night (and I believe this includes breakfast.) This sounds high but I asure you that if this hotel is any comparison to their resorts throughout Mexico, it will be well worth it. During my first trip, I stayed at LaPosada in Laredo for the rediculious rate of $109 per night so i am looking forward to this.
