You will not find a Zona Norte equivalent. There are some strip clubs spread around: Junior's, Paris, Rhames, Kaos. But they are expensive and not really about good sex. Generally, they are Texas style tittie bars, especially Kaos. Your best option may be the massage parlors called esthetica's. See the phone book. Rape (pronounced rah-pee) is one near Hotel Fiesta Americana. Stay away from any unisex esthetica's, though. They might have bigger clits than you really wanted. Guadalajara cannot really be considered to be a sex-resort type of destination. But DO post your results!

Your best bet for bargain girls would be in the San Juan de Dios neighborhood (official "Zona de Tolerancia") Starting from the Church by the Plazuela de Maricachis, try going up Mina (street between Market and the Church) a few blocks.
Girls aren´t all that brazen here, but there should be some standing around looking pleasingly cheap.

Cabazo you are correct. Just returned. However, to be more precise there are two hotels near the intersection of Cinco de Mayo and Gingantes with two hotels running about 20-30 girls. 100-200 pesos with 50 or less for the room. Some are beautiful, many are not. Best to go during daylight arounds beginning around noon. Lots of police in the area, but don't seem to mind. The ladies informed me it was a 100 peso ($10) fine if caught. The ladies work in thirty minutes shifts (really amusing to watch), so what you see on the street is ony a fraction of what may be available.

There are other areas nearby, but those are the only really consistent ones I could see.

OK, street girls. i have been to guadalajara at least 7 times maybe more in the past year. i have never gotten an SG, i stick to one of the MPs. so anyway i have a story involving SGs that happened last night. i always stay at the hotel hamilton on madero. i recommend this hotel cause it is cheap, clean enough and a 5 minute walk from the cathedral. anyway, in front of this hotel there is a group of about 6 SGs. they are not that great in the looks department. there is one however that has a solid ass, or at least it looks great but once those jeans come off who knows. anyway when i come to my hotel after a night of drinking these gals are always out front. i like to mess with them and talk with them a bit. when they see a cop car in the distance they all scamper, one time i saw them all jump into a parked car. the other night they were all out front and of course i was bugering them. a taxi drove up and one of the gals jumped in and off the driver sped for a little action.

Ahh... but cabezita for Mexicans isnt in any way shape or form "less" than sex. My experience, at least in TJ: Sexo $20, Mamada (head) $30. Of course Mamada sounds sort of rude, so if you wanna say it in spanish, just say "Me la besas" -- meaning "kiss it for me". Mexicans (especially those with indigenous roots) are very shy about blowjobs... So dont be surprised if they want more money for it.

First of all, major correction: Some indigenas give excellent head, and some even love it. I never had this problem with girls in Nayarit...

Now, the zona roja in guadalajara... Best street to travel is Gigantes, behind the plaza de mariachis. 4 blocks into the residential district, you will see girls standing outside a hotel, you'll also see girls banging on the glass window. One was hanging off a second floor balcony "psssssssssssssssssssssssst!!". Note that the proper pricing there is around 120 pesos. The most I've paid is 180 for a total stunner. The reason she was able to upsell me was that she came back from TJ, and she knew the pricing from there.

There are other zonas around the area too. Right across from Plaza de Mariachis is a ficha bar where many girls hang out for take out. Walking north from that location (through the underpass, cross the street and immediately to your left) are two hotels where girls always hang out in the lobby and outside. The one in the pink building has better girls at a higher price (About 250p plus the room), the one in the grey building is cheaper, you can get em down to 200p.

Avoid the strip club in the area its a rip off.

If you get upstairs instead of going through the underpass, there is a hotel there with girls hanging out also. Sometimes girls will sit on the benches around the area too. Careful, I've seen some trannies there.

Finally, if you go south on the avenue from the above-mentioned ficha bar, you'll see some hotels to your right. Some stunners and some uglies there, your milage will VARY. I've scored a real hottie there once, but took her back to my hotel.

Last thing, I would really watch out for the policia around the San Juan de Dios area. They know when a tourist is walking around, what he is looking for. You may be stopped, searched, and find yourself missing about 400 pesos or so.

I was in Guadalajara about a month ago. Had never been before. Hoofed it all over the San Juan De Dios/Gigantes bar area several times. Did have a good time, but didn't see as many hotties as I had hoped.

However, downtown in the main central plaza area is another story altogether. The place was literally swarming with hot, young chicks on Saturday afternoon. Many making eye contact and smiling at this old gringo.

Never hassled by police, always treated well by the locals and just generally had a GREAT time. Guadalajara has the best vibe I've ever experienced in Mexico.

Gotta concur on the so-called high end strip clubs. The ones I visited left a lot to be desired. Went to Ramses, which is on Gigantes in the 1400 block (14 blocks or so east of the Plaza Mariachi)--going away from the downtown area.

The only strip club I liked was called something like "El Galeon" or "Nuevo Galeon" located pretty much straight south (maybe two miles) of the Plaza de Mariachis on Diecises de Septiembre. Just ask a cabbie to take you to the Super Wal-Mart--it's right there. Chicks in there will come over, pull their tube tops down, and let you fondle the merchandise.

One place that is a must see is the Plaza Libertad in the San Juan de Dios area, just north of the "zona" area. Three city blocks long, three stories high. The place is a world in itself. If you can't buy it there, you can't buy it anywhere. The foodstalls alone are incredible.

Plaza de Mariachi is much smaller than Plaza Garibaldi in Mexico City, but a great place nonetheless. Good food, plenty of cold beer, and I thought it was quite safe, contratry to what I had heard beforehand. I was becoming quite the fixture there before it was time to finally, sadly head back to the US. I could see myself whiling away a month or more in Guadalajara.

In terms of street girls in GDL, there aren't that many. It is true that the best area to find them is around San Juan de Dios and Plaza de Mariachi. But, after living in GDL for 8 months, I found the place to be hit and miss. There are some hotels around that area where some girls hang out, but I never really found anything that I liked personally...simply average.

My suggestion would be to hit the massage parlors. You're going to find much better girls there and it is in a safer environment. The area around San Juan de Dios is sketchy and I know many people who have been robbed in that area - so be careful! Although I have walked by myself around there late at night and nothing happened to me, I don't encourage it.

One of the massage parlors that I liked was called "Alex." It is on Avenida Los Arcos, No. 876 in the Jardines del bosque area. The phone # 3120-9304. The cost was a $1000 pesos or a $100 in U.S. I can't remember for sure how long it was for, but it is definitely long enough for a nice massage and sex afterwards. Also, there is a jacuzzi in the room if you want to use it. The girls were all from ages 18 - 23 when I went (I only went a handful of times) and the majority of them were all around 7's with a couple 9's from time to time. You sit in the room and they come in one by one and introduce themselves to you, then you pick the one you like. I personally never saw the same girl twice, so I am guessing that the girls do it for a bit, save some money and move on to something else. I am not sure though. To get there from downtown you can take the bus, just head to Avenida La Paz and pick up the R-51 A or B bus. Unfortunately, in GDL the bus stops are not well marked. Therefore, you will have to ask someone or look for where people are standing around. I would pick the bus up on the corner of Donato Guerra and La Paz - right in front of La Paz Taco Fish (which bye the way has really good fish and shrimp tacos). The R-51 A/B bus runs along La Paz and then turns left on Los Arcos and then makes a right on Av. Guadalupe. You are going to want to get off before it turns right on Guadalupe (at the glorieta or the round about intersection). Alex will be just a few blocks walking distance from the intersection of Los Arcos and Guadalupe. The hours of operation are from 10 am to 9 pm and it is located in a safe part of town.

I may travel to GDL for the Mariachi Festival next October, but regardless, always appreciate it when people contribute good information about Mexico's non-border cities.

I hear conflicting information about whether there are outright hooker bars in GDL. I am aware that there are a number of upscale and super high priced stripclubs. What about escorts? Thanks in advance if you have any info.

In terms of "outright" hooker bars, I am not sure about that. I did not hear of any of them, but I did go to one bar where there were some visible hookers looking for action, but I can't remember the name right now. I will have to ask a friend there and get back to you on that. The place did not have a very good selection though...less than a handful and nothing special at all. In fact, I passed and did not take one home. In terms of escorts, I never tried them. Sorry.

I am not sure whether this is the location "Dubmeun4given" is referring to, but I am almost positive.

The SG's that I have found, or rather, the SG's a taxi driver took me to when I asked him, is on Calle Aguafria, Zona 1, Centro. My geographical knowledge is not that great regarding the SG hangouts in GDL, as I was only there for a few days, therefore hunted for the best prostitution locations immediately. But the cross street to Calle Aguafria is Calle Indepencia.

Calle Aguafria, (one word, not two) is directly behind and runs parallel to a main street, Calzada Indepencia Norte.

The SG hangout is actually a hotel where they all stand in the lobby. The hotel is: Hotel Paris. You can walk right through the lobby of Hotel Paris from the main entrance which is on Calzada Indepencia Norte to the back street which is Calle Aguafria. If you stand there facing the front of Hotel Paris, (not sure whether it's facing north or south, east or west, but assuming it's north) looking to your left, is the cross street by the overpass, called: Avenida Hidalgo. This is the side street which has the vehicle passover directly above the street.

If you are still having trouble locating the exact spot of Hotel Paris, it is directly across from a blue building with the name, "Centro Joyero Calzada Republica No. 17"

The SG's on the little side street on Calle Aguafria, all use Hotel Paris. The going rate is 225 Pesos. While haggling over the price, not one SG seemed to budge from that price. The price is standard.

Every SG in the vicinity of that area all look lonely and sad. They are so-so in the looks department. Definitely nothing to write home about. Most have a hanging belly and you can see they are veterans at this. None are what you might expect to see in the alley in TJ for instance. The SG's in GDL wear plain ordinary clothes and mostly stand a just a few feet from each other with a look of contempt.

Great info. Masterbates. I'll be in Guad. in early June and will have limited time to search. In fact, everything must be done during the day hours. Do you know if the places are operating during the day? I have wasted a lot of time searching in the wrong area's in Guad. before. Also, I will be in Puerto Vallarta most of the time. Same situation there. Any info. would help.

Moman1, Yes, the daytime is the best and safest. That's when I was in the area. The taxi drivers will repeatedly warn you against mongering in this area after dark. Hookers in the park nearby at night are a set-up. Either that, or they're trannies. Also see my thread on the park near this location.

I've mongered at night and it's safe enough. There are more streets that have sgs and by the overpass, there is a club that has chicas...same set up as LCs in TJ but to a much smaler scale. about 10-12 girls. Will look into writing a TR soon.
