Went down to Nogi this past Tuesday. Got a room at Hotel Granada, no problem with bringing chicas into the hotel at 2AM. (My new Mexican amigo - who I met at the border crossing a few hours before - brought three up for me to choose from ) The room was basic, but reasonably clean.

Hotel Granada is about 2 blocks straight up the road from the border crossing. A good walk, but not too far.

Is your amigo Jesse the padrote? He freelances out of Placers.

Nope, I was met just across the border by a guy named Tony, who spoke pretty good English. He says he "worked for" Placers for a while - we even went in there for a bit. Wouldn't surprise me if he knows Jesse. In fact, Nogi is small enough I'd be surprised if he didn't know him, but I didn't ask.

Yes, I have bumped into that guy too. He is always trying to work any angle possible.

Once again I had a good experience at Granada. The cost is $45. Alberto the gay manager is a nice guy. Also, the staff is more than happy to go out and get food, condoms, beer, etc. and bring it to your room at any time!! The shower is great for sex too.

Can confirm that Granada is still monger-friendly. When my date called to ask if they sold cigarettes, they had the security guard come to our room, get some money, and go out and get some. Now if they'd just stop putting bricks in the pillowcases...
