I believe it was Hotel Miami I tried to get a room at a few days ago. The old owner recently passed away and the new owner doesn't want girls coming up to the rooms.

Management would not know if you stay in the building across the street from the lobby. That is what I usually do.

= Hotel Miami Report =

Fellas, this must be the best over all hotel bargain in town. It's two blocks straight West of Rio's - *immaculate* room for $30 - no shit, it was like a smaller-scale business hotel or something - freshly remodeled and painted with brand spanking new appliances. I was very impressed. Real marble tiles and countertops, no shit. And they had vacancia when a lot of other places didn't - go figure. No problem with chicas, either (even two different ones in the same night - no BS extra charge like in TJ).

Highly recommended.

ok who was the second lucky winner? I paid $45 at Hotel San Louis and it was a dump.

Samantha #2 from Rio's. I guess it was a good night for Samantha's (or a bad one, depending on your perspective...) That was 5AM, btw.

Spent some time friday at Hotel Andres, never again. Last time I said this also(Alondra talked me into it), this time I mean it! This place gets a 1/2 on a 0-10 scale. So last night I got a room at Hotel Miami(Alondra gave in). Miami gets a 2 on the same scale. Only becuase it had a TV and cable and I could the BB game. The beds are concrete! The bathroom is full of mold, this has to be the noisest intersection in all of Nogales. I had Alondra laughing when I showed her how hard the pillows were. And this was the 2nd room they gave me. The first one should be condemed!

You know, I wonder if there aren't two Hotel Miami's in Nogales. The one I originally posted about was about 1.5 blocks straight West from Rio's. Taking a taxi to Titanic, I saw a sign for another Miami hotel, but it was a different one - in the Granada Hotel area (South of Lipstick, et al). Blulight - which Miami were you in? I stand by my report of the Miami on the West side of town. Maybe I got lucky with the room I got.

2 blocks west of Rios is the police station. Across the street from the police station is a school, the back building of Miami is behind the school. The office and the rooms I got are 1 more block west of the school. There is a small dinner on the main floor. I'm pretty sure it is the same place, Venus lives about 2 more blocks northwest from there.

Hotel Miami is a dump but it serves a purpose. The price is right, the management is friendly, and the location is good. The rooms across the street from the main office are in terrible shape. Be sure to request a room in the building that the office is in. First thing in the morning you hear pigeons through the A/C unit along with the sounds of traffic and Mexican chatter. I will only stay here if Granada is full.

By MrBill on Sunday, March 31, 2002 - 03:33 pm:  Edit

Roberto's apparently correct. The room I got was in the main building (with the lobby). I swear my room was immaculate. It must have been recently remodeled - maybe you can ask for such a room?

NO MAS MIAMI !!!

Fellow hombres, scratch Hotel Miami off your list of places to stay in Nogie - unless you actually ARE only interested in getting some sleep.

New rules at Hotel Miami:

1. NO GUESTS - PERIOD
2. NO ALCOHOL IN THE ROOMS

You can still register a room for two people - and MAYBE be able to get your chica in, but I wouldn't exactly bet on it any more. Miami apparently wants to run a nice, family hotel - despite the fact that they're right down the street from two strip clubs (quasi-brothels).

This sucks, because it was AWFULLY convenient to have a hotel room about 2 blocks from Rio and Obsessions. I guess I'll have to try the other hotels on that side of town.

Take Roberto's advice and stay at the Hotel Granada if you want to party. Hmmph!!

By Phoenixguy on Sunday, June 22, 2003 - 09:01 pm:  Edit

Well MrB, please do let us know how you make out if you try some other hotels. I've just been sticking with Granada, but still wish I could find a place with decent pillows, as I do like to catch a few hours of shut eye before the drive back to Phoenix.

I think I may have to take credit for this. The last couple of times the asshole at the desk has gotten really pissed off at the constant traffic and noise in my room. Granada rules!

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

This place is now owned by some fat, white guy, religious fanatic. Prices are now $35 for a room. $10 deposit for key and another $10 deposit for remote. No guests or alchohol. I was charged the double rate for a twin size bed that me and my wife shared. He said it was per person.

In the morning when I went to shower, to my horror I discovered the shower was filled with 2 inches of piss. Apparently the toilet was flushing directly into the shower.

They offered to send in the maintenance man to unplug the drain. I said "hell no" I want a new room.

Next I was given a new room. The towels were sitting on the sink but they were soaked from a leaky sink I presume. I went in the shower and the water was shooting up at the ceiling and dripping dirty rust water down.

I had to take a shower standing way at the back of the shower.

I wish I had paid with a credit card to dispute the transaction. Upon leaving I gave the desk clerk a piece of my mind in Spanish and told him to relay it back to that fat bastard owner.

Boycott this fucking shithole. Give your business to a decent place like Granada. I should have known better.

OK...so if I am going with my husband and we are taking a 'chica' back - where would be the nicest place where we can relax and enjoy ourselves? I don't really want something cheap as nice

By Roberto on Saturday, December 17, 2005 - 06:32 pm:  Edit

I always recommend Hotel Granada. Just ask a taxi driver.
