Interesting what you say about the TJ strip clubs Erip. I am actually in San Diego/TJ today and tomorrow and was looking to check out the Strip Club action.

It was kind of funny. When Helena told me she was going to TJ in two weeks, I told her I was going in TWO DAYS!

Xenono, TJ stripclubs are a breed apart from Nogales. Private dances in the nice places are either on open benches or small booths with see through curtains. Finding the right girl and the right place (at the right price) is much more work than in the systemized sex chambers of the Nogales clubs. TJ stripclubs can also be ripoff dens because they attract casual tourists who don't know about, or lack zona savvy. Sex in the zona is easy and at the right price. Sex in stripclubs (at least in a private setting) can be alot of work and requires caution for scams and sharp negotiation.

The good news is that there are some top shelf babes at clubs like Caesars and Penthouse and Catwalk. Get a lap dance and sample their heat, then try and talk the one you like into going to your hotel for an extended session. It will never be cheap, but it could be fine. In my experience, Madonna's (maybe the most popular upscale place), requires the most work to score. The downscale joints like Rio Rita's and Peanuts & Beer offer high mileage public lapdances, and some of the chicas will turn tricks in private areas that are not always designed for sexual encounters...like offices and closed secondary club areas. Scams and hustle abound in the downscale clubs, but if you are careful and patient, enjoyable adventures can be had.

Does anyone have any experience with the brothel in Nogales? It's named "La Conga" I think. I was tempted to go try it out last weekend as I wanted some bed type sex, but didn't want to pay the exhorbitant price for the VIP rooms. I was wondering about how far it is and what would be the chances of getting a cab back to town, and also just how bad are the women. I wasn't feeling too selective at the time, but they might be too skanky even for me.

I have been to La Conga a few times in the past year. It is a $5 cab ride from the border. Sometimes there is 2-3 nice looking girls and the rest average. It is safe because no one is hiding anything. You pay the bartender $15 for the room for 30 min. and $50 to the girl once in the room. You can talk and visit with the girls before taking them to the room to make sure they will do what you want. Beers are $2.50 and the ladies drinks are $5.

There or 4-5 rooms there with beds and tv's, fairly clean for mexico whorehouse standards.
You can always get a cab back to the border. If there is not one out front, the bartender can call you one. Everyone is pretty friendly because they want your money and want you to come back. The girls change frequently there.
So for $10 bucks it may be worth to take a cab and have a beer and see if there is anything you like, if not head back to the stripclubs.

Is La Conga open on Saturday afternoons?

La Conga is open every day, but there are more girls in the evening. If you go after 3pm there should be a few girls to choose from. Let us know how it was.

I'm a veteran monger of the TJ/NL-BT/Juarez zonas and just had my first visit to Nogales. After reading everything here on TJhombre I decided to try Placers as my first club stop.

Timing was about 10:00PM on a Saturday. Real good lineup of some very pretty chicas - all in the 6 to 8 range with a couple of nines spotted infrequently.

I'd thought about doing the $200 bedroom deal but decided to go the regular route of the $8 laps and the $20 privates.

Picked out a well built, pretty 25 y/o and did a single lap and then went upstairs for a double length private. Very friendly chica with a good work ethic. Excellent talents in a somewhat cramped environment but I had a great time and one of the better BBBJ of my mongering career.

Next time I'm in Arizona, I'll definitely make a side trip back to Nogales and Placers will be at the top of my list.

I have two trips to report. I made it back on Feb. 13th (tues) and the 19th (mon). Business was strong on both nights.

On Tuesday I ran into the girl I took up to the room for $200. Her name is Brittany. See my posting above for a description of that time. She said that she was leaving to work in TJ the next day and wouldn't be back. We had a great time together in the past and she still remembered my name! That was a couple of months ago. Well, I wasn't planning on going up to the room that night but that's just what we ended up doing. The ticket seller didn't want to budge, but I know this girl likes me and she got him to agree to $150 for an hour. I seriously didn't expect that to happen. I reminded him that I come down frequently and I usually bring friends along, so it would be good business to let me slide a bit this time. He agreed. Brittany and I had a great 60 minute workout. I believe she enjoyed it as much as I did. If not, she'll make a killing in TJ with her acting skills. She is a sweet girl and I wish her the best.

On the 19th, Lipsticks and Ferni's was closed and Cherries was soon to follow. I won't go to Lord Black anymore, so that left few options. Placers had a fine selection of women, but before I could check out the new blood, Baby decided that I was hers this night. She sat in my lap and stayed with me for over 45 minutes. I've seen her before and she's danced tables and privates for my friends but not for me. I believe that she spoke to Brittany because when I introduced myself to her she wouldn't leave me. She gave me a great table dance and tried her best to get me upstairs. The night was young, so I told her that I needed to find a friend in another bar and I would be back. My friend stayed while I prowled around.

I checked out Obsessions for the first time. Not really, since they wouldn't let me in the club without a $3 cover but they let me check it out. The place is very nice, probably the nicest in Nogales. I heard that the prices are high and the dances are not as hot so I continued on. The ladies looked fine and I decided that I will definitely check it out thoroughly on my next trip.

Down the street from Placers, straight down past the hotel there is a place on the corner called Fiesta Plaza (or something like that). It sits across the street and up on high ground. You go upstairs and you'll find a cozy little bar with one dance stage. I saw 3 dancers and about 2 other customers. The dancer on stage was a 7, but the other two were 2-3's. No one has ever mentioned this place. Clearly it can't compete with the bigger clubs, but I think it merits further exploration, especially on slow nights. I had a beer and moved on.

I also checked out a bar between Placers and the corner hotel. I don't know the name. You enter and go down stairs to the bar. The adjoining room has more tables and a dance floor. This is not a strip club, but a place to dance WITH a lady. There were a few ladies at the bar (the place was pretty sleepy overall). They seemed available and interested, but my Spanish isn't good enough to really flirt effectively. There really wasn't any dancing going on and so I decided to finish my beer and continue scouting.

Eventually, I ended up meeting Jesse on the street. He is a local dealer/pimp who has been trying to get some business out of me for months. I finally tried this connection. You can read my posting under Street Girls.

By the time I got back to Placers (unexpected problems kept me tied up) the place was slowing down. Baby gave me another table dance and then said goodnight since they closed earlier than usual that night.

The night had its ups and downs, but I have to admit that it was interesting. I had just spent the previous 3 days in San Carlos/Guaymas and this Monday was supposed to be just a quick stop on the way home. You can read about my mongering in Guaymas on that message board. Placers, like LB's, has a banner advertising they open at 3:00 p.m., this goes for the bar only. No girls 'til 8 or 9 p.m. . They also have something new in there that I saw the last time (+/- 2 wks ago), when the guy goes out to mop the stage after a dance, the d.j. (who normally walks around and mingles with the crowd) will announce 2X1 vip's. What this means is that you spend twice as much time in there for the same amount of $$ ($20.00). Not a bad twist, but it happens later in the evening from what I'm told (about midnight or so). The girl selection is good, and even the waitresses do privates, but don't expect a whole lot from them (bj, hj, no fs) at least in my experience.

My last visit was on Tues the 3rd. I got there pretty late and so I settled for a girl that's been trying to score some business off of me for a long time. Her name is Kelly. I too have been quoted an outrageous "initial" pitch by these girls. Most starting at $80 for FS, then going down from there. When hearing these quotes, I too react in a disgusted manner, and then give my final lowball offer. If they don't want it, forget them, and move on. Eventually, they'll learn.... I hope.

Well, I dont know how to explain the outreagous prices...Maybe business has been really slow, so they figure they start high and get some mongers to pay $80-$100 for fs...Hell, I talked to many dancers who stated that the average wage for workers in mexico is about 70-100 pesos a day....I think paying $40-60 for fs should be plenty...Usually on a slow night, you can get a bj for $20 no problem and sometimes sex for as low as $30....I hope mongers are bartering, because $40 should be the norm for sex...

Tecolote sucks. Loud music, crowded, nasty floor show. There are a few attractive ficha girls that will go to the hotel. Go there if you speak spanish or with Mexicans. Everyone was nice except a few stumbling drunks. They are usually harmless. The waiters are your best source of info. Also, this place sometimes stays open all night, if you don't feel like going home then it is a decent place to drink.

I agree with Roberto about going to Tecolote's if you can speak Spanish. PLACER'S ALERT: Anyone planning to come down to the clubs this Friday should know this. I was at Cherry's (ol' standard) this afternoon and there were 4 girls on duty. One of my fav's walked in about 6 pm and left shortly. When she came to say , "HI" & "BYE", she told me that they were intending to close Cherry's early Thursday and not open at all Friday. She was going to Placer's to work for the next two days. I followed and lo and behold, Placers was going full speed ahead at 6:30 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon. Prolly a first (at least for me). I met back up with her and she told me that they would open at 2:00 pm Friday and then it would be "business as normal" on Saturday. Although I think they will prolly not be open in full force on Easter Sunday (any club).
Just thought I would send that out so anyone crossing the border and seeing Cherry's closed did not get too disappointed.

The cost is not cut in half. You get double time for the same price. Tables are still eight dollars and privates and still twenty.

They write 2x1 on the ticket so make sure you get the ticket sellers to do this. I saw them selling some tickets to others that didn't have it.

I stopped by Placers Saturday afternoon (about 2:00 p.m.) there were two girls working and more coming into work as I sat there & watched. What does this mean for Nogales?. Well in the last year I noticed a lot of Tucsonans and Phoenicians heading for Nogie for mostly hot-laps and the occassional extra's. Having to pay a lot more money for a lot less in Arizona, a lot of them threw quite a bit of money around. I met this one guy from Tucson, who only came down for laps about twice a month.

He said he used to be a regular at some of the clubs in Phoenix and occasionally in Tucson, but stopped when rules got tight. He, like a great many fled the strip-club scene in Arizona to Nogales. Incredible as it may seem, he didn't partake of the extra's he just liked the public groping!! LOL.

Anyway, I think the loosening of the laws in AZ will keep a lot of the cash-spending gringos in the U.S.

And beleive me the laws in AZ as strict as we thought they were, were down right loose compared to California. A full grinding TOPLESS full-song Lap is still only $5. (No using hands, except in the VIP ($10-20)) A comparable dance in Cal will run about 10-30 and in most cases you can't get a beer.

I think this will keep some gringos at home and that will of course keep prices in check.

I think some of the owners of the clubs in Nogales charge the $6-8 because you get more "bang for the buck" compared to the $5 dance in Tucson and Phoenix. Hopefully as the "lap gap" closes, this will further stabilize the prices.
