There is an article in today's (3/17/02) Arizona Daily Star, Tucson's local newspaper, page A9, titled "Checking Prostitutes Unlikely To Halt HIV".

The article features a picture of Dinora, in front of Cherry's, holding her health card. In the article they interview Dinora who says "Its good for one's own health".

The article discusses how "Boy's Town" on Canal Steetdeclined years ago, but an increasing number of strip clubs have opened up in the area around the downtown port of entry.

The article says the health cards are required to be renewed every three months.

saw Dinora on Fri. Took her a copy of the story, she told me that I was about the 6th person to bring it to her. The other dudes wanted her autograph. She asked me if I wanted one too, I just told her I brought this copy for her.

She told me she was selected for that story cuz she is the only girl that actually has the health card..........

jd, did she get paid for the spot? Does she know the distrubution of that picture? I find it extremely hard to believe she did it. Last time down, there was a photographer in Cherry's taking pictures of any of the girls on your lap. Alondra had her's taken with a guy who she hadn't spent any time with. It was very weird to both of us.

I was offered to get my picture taken with a chica I was with for five dollars at Cherry's on Friday, but declined.

I had the impression that one of the ticket sellers or waiters was trying to make extra money this way.

Several months ago I negotiated $100 for a hotel session outside of Rio's, but then ended up getting an extra $50 barfine added, I almost declined when they added the barfine, after I thought we had a deal for $100, but went for it.
I also ended up paying another $30 for the hotel. So when everything was added up, it was $180, and at that price I have not repeated the deal.

Do the Rio girls have a specific hotel they want to go to? Hotel Andreas seems to be the one and only for the Lipsticks girls.

Bluelight, I did not get the impression that there was a specific hotel used, when I got my session a couple months ago, but this may have changed.

Justdan, it is not reassuring to discover that Dinora, was the only chica to have a health card. In TJ, the policia do checks of the bar chicas for health cards, I wonder if this is the same in Nogales?

yeah, I agree, I was wondering what kinda angle she might have been playin. However although I think she is very nice I dont think she is that smart or manipulative.

I doubt she got paid, and I also seriously doubt she knows the distribution. It seemed like a big joke to her. She was loving the notariety.
