Does anyone have any good information regarding the hooker scene in Obregon. I have just returned from there and saw some really good looking women. I was wondering if the "working girl" scene there is as prevalent there as it is in most Mexican cities. Any info. would be greatly appreciated as I plan to return soon.

One of the chicas in BT from Obregon told me that there was a "zona" in Obregon some distance from downtown, but that it was small and disgusting.

By Milkman on Saturday, November 02, 2002 - 07:23 am:  Edit

IS there any zona that is not digusting ??

I would think TJ takes the cake on that

"Did you have to take a passport or travel card with you?"

Legally, you definitely need a tourist card to go as far as Obregon.

By Papa_C on Saturday, November 02, 2002 - 02:20 pm:  Edit

Legally you need a tourist card, but drunk in the middle of the night I have got on the bus and gone without one. In Obregon, there is a hotel one block from the bus station for 150 mex. close to lord black. Downtown, check into The Obregon Plaza Hotel 800-1000mex. About three blocks behind the hotel is a place called Carlos, I would start there. But really you will find Obregon so easy, its like the whole town is a zona. Its very safe there. I walked about a mile back to my hotel one night after the bars ckosed, just to see the town. No problems.

I have alwys wondered why there was no talk about Obregon. I never bothered with the whores there, Its too easy to pick up girls in clubs, and girls that are just out with there friends. BTW, I am over 40 and speak very little spanish

I once got on a Bus in Nogales and went all the way to Gudalajara without ever having my tourist card checked. Few Gringos take buses so immigration did not bother to check the bus. It was probably damn near midnight when we hit the checkpoint.

My college roommates were all from Obregon. We used to cruise down on long weekends. Great place. Papa C is right, the women are outstanding.
It is large enough to have a good selection and small enough and far enough form the border to have many gringos. So the "strangeness" factor works in our favor.

By Justdan on Monday, November 04, 2002 - 04:13 pm:  Edit

"strangeness" as in wierd?

or

"strangeness" as in uncommon?

lol

By Batster1 on Wednesday, November 06, 2002 - 05:33 pm:  Edit

In my case the first description applies. LOL.

But I mean there are few gringos compared to Nogales or Penasco. So there is some curiosity.

Another place that is good to go for the night is Caborca. It is pretty conservative town, but there are a couple of good discos on the main drag. Nice women. Ranas Ranas atmosphere. Stay at La Siesta and eat at La Carretta. Nice side trip out of Rocky Point.

Milkman, who are you callinng Norman? My real name's not Norman. BTW, do you have an inbox at CH? I need to ask you some other stuff about the times you lived in TJ

As for a passport, I brought my passport, but never once had to show it. Next time, I'll leave it at home. As for the women, as you know my hands were somewhat tied because of the girl I went to visit. She was watching my every move. Hell, I couldn't even smile at the female clerk in the convenience store!

But I'd sure like to give Obregon another try though, awesome place.

I might be going to Obregon soon. I will probably drive down from Tucson. Anyone know what the roads between Nogie and Obregon are like? How long a drive it is? What's the speed limit?

Also, how do I get a tourist card?

Thanks -

By Reytj on Thursday, December 05, 2002 - 07:30 pm:  Edit

You're also going to need a "permiso de importacion temporal" -a permit for your car- to drive there.

Reytj

By Papa_C on Saturday, December 07, 2002 - 01:12 pm:  Edit

Mr Bill, its about a 7 hour drive. roads are very good. get all the necessary papers as you cross the border. you will need car title, mex car ins. a credit card for permit for your car.

Last month I decided to drive from my usual homebase of Hermosillo to Ciudad Obregon, just to check things out. The drive only took about four hours, even taking the "libre" route to avoid the tolls. (I hate to pay for the shitty Mexican highways!)

I can definately confirm what other members of Club Hombre have posted about Obregon: it is definately not a cool destination for Mongers.

I could find no massage parlors at all listed in either the local yellow pages or in the local newspapers. In addition, the only TD club I could remember from my visit on the bus last April was shut down tight. And I was there at about 11PM on a Friday night.

I was going to ask the guys at the hotel desk about a local whore-house but I decided to just forget about it and save my money for the trip back to Hermosillo.

For sure, there are a lot of beautiful local women in Obregon. But I am not fluent enough in Spanish to pick them up.

I may be taking a trip to Obregon, Sonora in about three weeks. Does anyone have any good or updated info. about Obregon regarding the hooker scene.

I realize I've posted this question already a few months ago, but I thought maybe some monger might have some fresh info. to share as a result of a recent visit.

I'm mostly interested in hotels in this city that are similar to, say, the Las Cascadas in Tijuana.

Thanks.

Just Curious Masterbates

What is the reason for this trip ?
Business ?

By Masterbates on Monday, March 08, 2004 - 06:06 am:  Edit

No, it's to do with an ex-hooker I once got involved with. Further deatils are in that one and only trip report I submitted. I'm going back to see her again, but in case things don't work out (it's been on again-off again) this time around, this is the reason why I'm seeking info. re; the prostitution scene in that city.

I'll be damned if I'll spend a bunch of money only to have this relationship suddenly go south like it did before and then I'm left wandering around a strange city where I could spend valuable time and money getting laid.

Thanks for asking though.

Damm you didnt learn your lesson yet ?
I could have saved you lots of money pal.

Anyway I could talk to out of trying to fix a relationship with a girl that obviously.. well nevermind.

By Masterbates on Monday, March 08, 2004 - 11:58 am:  Edit

Know what you mean, bro. The problem is, like most mongers on the board, I'm sadly led by my emotional instincts and the desire to find someone permanent. Even if it is an ex-working girl.

I'm sure you know what I mean.

By Milkman on Monday, March 08, 2004 - 08:22 pm:  Edit

Yes but she doesnt want you.
There are thousands of girls that would love to be with you so why go after a working girl that doesnt care for you ?
Didnt we go over this a long time ago ?

Hey I'm interested in heading to Obregon, does anyone know how much it cost for a bus ride there and how long from TJ? Also if anyone is interested in going there together maybe we can all head down and have a monger convention? Milkman, Masterbates, you two seem to know the area, can any of you make it or provide some more info?

By Explorer8939 on Monday, June 14, 2004 - 10:55 am:  Edit

Wildcard, the cost of the bus ride is nominal from TJ, if you can't afford it, well, you shouldn't be going to Mexico anyway. Its an overnighter from TJ, if you leave in the afternoon from TJ, you would be in Obregon in the morning.

By Nayarit on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 - 11:13 pm:  Edit

Wildcard, I'm driving down to Nayarit and will pass through Obregon. I'm leaving Thursday, June 17 in the morning about 5 a.m. Inbox me.

By Masterbates on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 - 06:44 pm:  Edit

Woah, what a coincidence. I usually never check this thread and just saw some recent posts.

Wildcard: The bus fare from TJ to Obregon is $40.00. You won't be disappointed in Mexico's bus system. No, they're not those donated dirty run down yellow ex-school buses with black smoke emitting from the exhaust pipe like in TJ.

These are top-of-the-line buses. Better than Greyhound, complete with restrooms, TV's, comfortable relclining seats. They even put on a couple of movies for the long journey. You'll think you're in an aircraft. The journey from TJ to Obregon takes anywhere from 14 to 16 hours. Once it took me 14 hours, the next time I went, it took me 16 hours. So it all depends on what route they take and also the stop off points in all the little cities and towns gets to be a little annoying.

Don't know too much about the city of Obregon, as my stays there were very short. But I do know it's a desperately poor city. CH poster Ahora 007 knows more about Obregon than I do. He's been there a few times and knows a little more about the prostitution scene.

The hooker scene is almost non-existent. I say "almost," because according to Ahora 007, the city council was ordered to clean up the prostitution, but we all know in poverty-sticken environments, it still goes on. I hear the hotels will cater to your specific needs.

Incidentally, just on a little side note here; did you know, far down in Mexico, in the state of Sonora, amongst all the little towns, cities and villiages with all the almost unpronounceable Spanish names like Las Trincheras, Cucurpe, Villa Pesqueria, El Desemboque and Camahuiroa, there exists a little town there called Benjamin Hill?

Yes, really. Named after the famous British comedian perhaps? I don't think so. It's an old town with a population of just over 5000 people. It's just north of another little town called Querbabi. The bus will also stop at this city, Benjamin Hill.

Good luck, let us know about the mongering scene there.

Master Bates

Hey Nayarit, Masterbates, Explorere and everyone else that replied. Thanks for the information guys but 14 hours is a little too long to be sitting on the bus, unless there's a really cute girl sitting next to me. Off point, anyways, Nayarit, sorry dude, I won't be able to make it this weekend, I have an appointment in TJ on the 17th. But have and thanks again all for the info.

By Explorer8939 on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 06:12 pm:  Edit

Masterbates:

Benjamin Hill is where the Mexicali rail line split off from the Nogales main line; thus there were a lot of trains filled with passengers sitting around at the station and a lot of vendor business there - in the old days. Not much there now.

By Masterbates on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 07:39 pm:  Edit

Yeah, Ex. I tried to do a google history search on it, mainly out of curiosity about how that little town got it's name way down there, and I read of the rail line that used to run through there in the old day.

BTW, Off topic regarding this thread....seen Marianne lately?

I went to Obregon last week, and its true, their are no Hooker Bars, Table Dances, Bars with ficha girls, nothing in site.
They where all removed some time ago by El Presidente Municipal.
But I went to a small town about 20 minutes away from Obregon, cant remember the name of it, because I was taken there by a local, and I was drunk and was not paying atention. But I do know its the nearest place to Obregon. The Bar is call LOS ANGELES, and its like an old warehouse, turned intro a Titty Bar. The place is ugly, stinky and not apt for pussy, clean cut looking gringos. This place is not Gringo friendly, but if you are macho and feeling adventurous and ugly stares and mocks dont bother you, the girls in here are worth it all.

Me and my local guy sat on the stage and they had around 7 or 8 nice looking girls. All where 7+ lookers. And all seemed to be under 25.

Private dances cost only 100 (pesos). And you are taken to some boths in back of the stage.

I picked a dirtly blond, short hair, skinny looking beauty. Her face looked like Pamela Lee (because of her make up) aroung 5 '2'', and no more than 110 pounds, Real nice B cups, nice ass.
Around 20 years old.

She undressed and offered 400 (pesos) for full service, including BBBJ. (Her tongue was pierced)

Got started with the wonderful BBBJ, than she sat on top of my dick (with a condom now) and started ridding.

Felt wonderful, then she asked Doggie, so she put her hands on the chair and I penetrated.

2 minutes after, I could not stand the smell.
She either did not bath well, or we where looking at a nasty, nasty infection.

Had to bail out, zipped up, told her I was feeling watched, ditched to the bar for lemons, and gave me a lemon dick bath in the bathroom.

She later came out and wanted to sit with me, but told her I had to go.

What a way to ruin it for me, but shit happens.

All in all I do recomend the place, all the girls are real nice, and for 40 bucks, you can have a great time,

see ya

RE: BENJAMIN HILL. It is named after a general in Mexican army who fought during the Mexican Revolution earlier in the last century. I am not sure if he was allied with Pancho Villa or against him. I took this photo in the Sonora State Museum located in Hermosillo. The museum is located in an the old state prison. It has a VERY spooky dungeon in the basement!

Hey! Take it easy! All the pics can't be of chicks!

Hello Masterbates!

Glad you finally read this post after 5 fuckin' months! :-) LOL!

Don't you love this pic? I love his ol' specs and his collar! Don't you!?

I have passed through the Mexican government check point there more times than I can count.
The young men with fully automatic weapons have made me nervous a couple of times, I must admit!

They have never stolen anything from me though.
Probably because I watch every move their little fingers make! LOL!

You haven't answered my question though! Was ol' "Benny Hill" allied with Pancho or an enemy?

Oh! I almost forgot! HAPPY CINCO DE MAYO! Hope you have a great time in TJ! Maybe I will join you TJ'ers some day and see how it compares to Hermo and Obregon!

By Brewmeisterbro on Monday, November 13, 2006 - 01:02 pm:  Edit

To Masterbates (if he is listening). Through the power of the Internet via Wikipedia, I have learned that General Benjamin Hill was not allied with Pancho Villa. He fought under General Obregon long after Pancho Villa in the the year 1920. Obregon was instrumental in removing Pancho Villa and Zapata and was supportive of Carranza...at least initially.

RE: Bar Los Angeles. I have passed by this place many times on trips to Obregon with an ex-girlfriend who is from there or with my buddy who has in-laws there.

It is on the road that by-passes the cuota on the north side of Obregon. To find it you need to take the exit from the cuota that has a sign that reads "Obregon Libre". It passes through a little pueblo called Bacum. I refuse to take the cuota and pay for a shitty Mexican road so I have gone this way a dozen times.

I usually pass it during the daytime, so I have never stopped. Maybe one of these days.

I have met many beautiful Mexican women from Obregon but since the TD bars have been mostly shut down I have yet to experience much pay for play. If you have any connections with the locals there are abundant opportunities to find putas here.

The puta experience is sort-of underground. I will be passing through Obregon to a place called Alamos soon so I plan to talk to local taxi driver and ask about putas. I am sure there is a "casa de cita" somewhere in town besides this shitty club.

Re: Ex-novia. My ex-novia was born and raised on a farm south of the city. I wanted very much to marry her and had proposed to her. However, I recently broke up with her when I found out she could never obtain a U.S. visa. She has a criminal history in the U.S. as she was incarcerated a few years back when she was caught smuggling illegals accross the border.

She kept her BCC and can still visit Tucson as she used an alias when she was caught. However, if they ever check her fingerprints (which they do from time to to time) she could be busted and sent back to prison.

I was out of action on this website for the past few months because I really wanted to have this relationship. I am now a VERY active mongerer and will start posting more regularly.

I will send a pic of this lovely, busty beauty to administrator for posting. I am still in love with her.
