A nice place if you like water, desert activities.
VERY laid back bars with girls later into the night, but be aware that roughly 1/2 of them have dicks! But if you're patient.... I've met a couple of 7s and an hour at your room generally costs $20-$30.

Eddiecat,
I've been there twice now. Can you name the bars and places to meet these girls. I did not notice these places. Thanks in advance.

Hi Valentino
Don't know how you could have missed them to be honest,but-the Malecon runs north along the beach, the next street over runs south (both one-way streets). At the north end of this street there is the Miramar bar-roughly equal to a sports bar. After midnite or so on weekends there is usually a couple very nice looking girls looking for business. They will NOT come to you in this bar,but sitting alone, sipping a drink you can be sure they are there for business. If in doubt ask the bartender. Right across the street is another bar, more of a neighborhood bar.Never crowded, but a lot of part-timers stop in.Check out Maria,a chunky but very nice girl, maybe 30. My buddy and I both got full body, nude (us) 1 hr. massages from her in the back room for $10 followed by a decent bj for another $10. These 2 places are for what I call the non-professionals.
The next street over is where the "pros" are. 4 bars and the whore "motel" where they live and work. This is late nite action-after 11 and going till about 3am. A buddy and I have learned that the best thing to do is to buy a couple six packs and a bag of ice at nearby store and go sit on a big log that is at the whore hotel. The girls will come to you, offer them a beer and make a few friends-we don't speak much Spanish and they not much English but it all works out. Usually you can sit next to a girl and play with her tits and everyone has a good time. You get to see all the whores this way.Don't be shy about negotiating-we usually get a bj for $10,never more than $20 and you're only 30' or so from her room.Of course you can always get one to go to your room with you.So much better than having to buy them a drink or 2 in the bar and trying to talk over than loud music.Be aware tho that I'm talking pretty primitive living conditons here-far from even a Motel 6.Small rooms the girls live in and 1 outhouse shared by all.Clean and absolutely safe area but if you're looking for a Vegas type brothel, don't even bother going. If you more interested in getting your rocks off then in who you're doing it with-such as I am-there are a few dynamite TVs there who will definitely show you a good time. Most of them have implants and are very hard to tell from the girls. In particular,Linda.who dresses up as a young Catholic schoolgirl, complete with long braided pigtails, white blouse, blue pleated skirt, white hose and a pair of F-me pumps.
She wants and gets $50 for 2 hours at your room.A decent cock-sucker but a great, energetic fuck!
Definitely worth it at least once.
I stress that this is NOT a town to go to just to get laid-but if you like to fish, play in the dirt during the day and then get drunk, get laid a few times at nite and like a more laid back atmosphere, don't need the glitter,it's great.

Thanks for the info. I stand corrected. I was mostly by the Statute on the big hill most of the time. I guess its on the south side but anyway I love San Felipe and next time I will check it out.

San Felipe Response 10/4/01
I'm sitting here looking at a 5-year-old map of San Felipe and I can't exactly figure out where you mean. When you say "The Malecon", etc., do you mean "Paseo de Cortez", "Mar de Cortez", & "Mar Baltico" that range from "Fraccion Verdugo" north past "Colonia Mexical" (which includes the tourist information office), "Primera Seccion" (cross streets "Topolobampo" & "Ensenada") towards "Segunda Seccion" (and the bus station) (cross streets "Acapulco" & "Zihuatanejo") ? Or that area further north (Cross street "Puerto Vallarta") ? Or the area a good bit south, but just north of the embarcadero (streets named "Mision de (various)" ?
Anyway the neighborhoods in San Felipe are:
Fracciones:
Los Arcos
Los Gavilanes
San Felipe del Sol
Verdugo
Colonias:
Mexicali
Playas de San Felipe
Primera Seccion
Seccion Poniente
Segunda Seccion
Of course I would prefer street addresses, but that can be difficult in a small town.
If available, I would also like info on cheap mexican style hotels (Like the 140 pesos/night hotel I stayed at in Tijuana.
But definitely - most definitely - THANK YOU for an informative post.

SP,
The Malecon is the seawall that runs on the east side of the city. The bar Miramar is on the street next to the Malecon.
By Eddiecat on Friday, October 05, 2001 - 02:47 am: Edit |
El Cochino-thanks for making that clearer. I've never learned the street names, the entire area that we frequent at night can be walked in about 1/2 hour (if you don't stop for a cold one).
I think my feet have the route memorized.
Senor Pauncho-sorry,but I'm sure that any directions I gave you would confuse anyone, but once you're there anyone can direct you to the Malecon and probably the Miramar also. As far as hotels in the 140 peso range-I imagine you MIGHT find one,but I doubt it would be close to the "action". I always stay at either the el Chapala or the Don de Tomas (not sure of that name but it's next street west of el Chapala). These are both within a 10 minute walk from the bars, restaurants, etc. Prices generally are $40-$60US for a nice room with 2 dbl beds-singles cheaper.
Both have secure parking,no problem with bringing "guests" and easy to get to for those times when you might have had 1 too many! Party hearty-the town is used to it as it is a big spring break destination-but DON"T drink and drive or carry drinks around with you.The town relies on tourists and the police are very tolerant of gringos, but like most cities, don't test their tolerance.

I'm planning on taking a lttle two day excursion to San Felipe in a couple of weeks. I've been there about three years ago, but was wondering if there are any changes to this city since then. Any new chica bars?

The record shows that no one has ever found anything there. Lots of questions about San Felipe, a couple of "I heard of one guy who knew a guy who got a HJ from some chica in some bar for $10" kind of stuff.
I took a Chaveles chica there for a weekend last year. That was fun.

I was in San Felipe a couple of weeks ago. There are no strip clubs. We checked out all the bars past posters have talked about...NOTHING. This town is dead. Your better off going to Rockadiles and trying to pick up on the drink girls.

The last couple of messages sound like our friends were disappointed. Since I have posted a few times here I feel somewhat responsible if I have somehow lead you to expect too much from S F. As I've said in a previous posting-do NOT go here expecting it to be like TJ,Ensenada or Rosarita!!! NO Playboy bunnies, or even their older sisters! You ain't going to sit your gringo ass down on a bar stool and find yourself surrounded by beautiful girls fighting for your attention! I'll put it this way-if you're a guy who is content to sit back in a bar, have a couple of beers, buy a girl a drink, maybe have a dance or two, take your time negotiating price, not all that concerned with finding a "10",or even a "6",just looking to chill out a bit and get your "nut" for a very reasonable price, you should have no problem here, especially at the 3 or 4 bars off the main streets.I can't emphasize it enough tho,if you're expecting to walk into a bar, pick out J-Lo,offer her $20 and go next door to the Hilton for a couple hours of wild sex you will be soooo disappointed!! If it helps, I'm almost 50, so take that into consideration-my idea of enjoying myself is going to be a hell of a lot different than a 20 yr. old stallion.I find San Felipe "action" to be laid-back but satisfying, but I can understand how a young man would be bored to death.

Just recently returned from San Felipe, (check out my trip report under the main discuss thread, May 20th 2002) , there's been a few changes since my last visit, plus some new buildings and more hotels added. I think word about it's popularity must be spreading.
The Bearded Clam bar is no more, locals told me it was burned down about two years ago, and nobody bothered to put money in it to rebuild it. This was one spot where locals would go.

I used to go to SF with my mom and brothers and another gang of families back in the 60's; I always got severe sunburns from playing in the beach all day. We were good friends of Carlos at the Costa Azul Bar. The bar is no more, sadly. He was the mayor for quite a number of years too, but he may have died by now. This was on the far northern side of SF. I can still picture the band he had there playing "Satisfaction" and others. It was great. Fresh swordfish and a cold coke at lunch daily. My mother's best friend used to date Arnold of the Miramar. The burly bearded clam man was always waving at us in our overly full VW bug. I never noticed any puntas but later when we returned 20 yrs. later I did notice a small number of them. In about the early 70's, SF got like 10 feet of water from a hurricane. Because the tide is so extreme, many tourists have been caught a 1/2 mile from shore when the tide came back in, many have drowned that way. I love SF, but haven't been back in ages. A few hotels were under construction in the late 60's, before that, I don't think they had any. I'll never forget the first night we got there, laying in our sleeping bags we saw the most awesome meteor shower.

Good posting Bingo, but for me the most memorable trip of visiting a quaint little fishing village like San Felipe was the cute little hard body I fucked about three yeras ago. Met her in the Iguana bar, she was a non-hooker. She just wanted to get laid and I was more than happy to oblige.

Well, this is all very interesting. My parents have given me an undeveloped lot at the El Dorado Ranch which is 7 miles north of San Felipe, and I just booked a round trip flight to Yuma, AZ for September 20-29th and a rental car. Will have 8 days to thoroughly explore the area. Thanks to EddieCat for the most information I have been able to find about San Felipe to date. Will return and post when I have more.

Dreaming Eagle,
Just by coincidence I will probably be in San Felipe Sept 27,28,29. My freind from Mexicali has a condo there and is throwing a shindig that weekend. Maybe I could buy you a beer.
I like Puerto Penasco more than San Felipe. It is nicer IMHO. It is about 3 hours from Yuma and San Felipe is about 2 hours from Yuma. But I think you will like San Felipe it is a nice relaxed kick back place to go. There are a lot of gringos but a lot of good authentic Mexicans. And at that time of September the gulf is spectacular.
Take care.

Batser, that sounds good. It looks like the most reasonable place to stay is El Capitian, only $33 a night. Do you know anything about that place? From the photos on their website it looks fine.
Let's stay in touch here on the board and get together for that beer once I know where I am going to be.
Also having trouble renting a car. Dollar Rental wants $25 a day extra to take the car into Mexico---outrageous. Ah, well, I may just take the bus.

Perhaps you've already found it,but here's an address of a pretty good site on San Felipe.
http://www.sanfelipe.com.mx/
This should help you a lot-has a city map etc.
Under "nightclubs" you'll find a listing for
Al's Backstreet Bar-this is very nice little neighborhood, friendly bar.If you need ANY info, buy Fernando a beer and he'll tell you everything you want to know. Under "hotels" you'll see a listing for-La Hacienda Red Lobster Hotel & Restaurant
there you'll see a picture of a parking area on the side of the hotel.Directly across the street is the "whore motel" I've mentioned in past postings.(If it's still there-I haven't been there since Sept.)There's 4 bars within a couple hundred feet here. This area is definitely your best chance for finding an amiga for an hour or the night.
That's assuming that you might be interested.
Relax-while most of the girls in these bars are working, they're also there to socialize with friends, make friends and have a good time. You'll get a sense of when the girls are starting to think business! Think late night for business.
My advice: Forget any and all inhibitions and doing things the American way.Make an effort to ask a girl to dance and do it-don't worry about what people might think.People are there to have fun,not to try and impress anyone.Buy the bartender a beer-he'll appreciate the thought and will keep an eye out for you.(that really comes in handy when he informs you that the girl who has been flirting with you has a dick tucked up in her panties!-there are a few) Have a good time but don't be flashing money or an attitude.
We're planning on going down there just before you.about the middle of the month so I may have more to tell about then. This weekend it's down to Ensenada for me!
Re: beer-go for the whale or turtle (qts.) cheaper
By Dreamingeagle on Friday, June 28, 2002 - 05:54 am: Edit |
Eddiecat, that's great info---especially the part about the whore motel being by the Red Lobster.
Dont' worry about my attitude. I always worry myself about directing people to our massage parlours here in Juarez (which are a real treasure, by the way)---wondering how they will act, etc. It's really a sorry thought to realize you might directing a dickhead towards your favorite scenes in Mexico, because they ruin it for everyone. Living in Mexico just two years has taught me how far a smile, a little respect, and an earnest attempt to speak Spanish will take you.
If you are ever in El Paso and want to check out Juarez, be sure and let me know, because I can give you the inside track on the MPs. For $35 you can have a beautiful girl for an entire hour in a nice little room with a shower---full service, no upselling, no bullshit. Become a regular, and it's a GFE 100% of the time. Hard to beat anywhere.
Anyway, looks like I will be taking the bus and staying at El Capitan. For the price of Mexican insurance for 10 days I could hire a taxista for the whole week, and he would probably sleep outside in the parking lot in case I needed to go somewhere. These car rental companies have really got their heads up their asses...
Puis bein. Gracias por su tiempo!

Moved up my visit to SF. I will be there 8-16/19.
Probably staying at our usual hotel a block south of the Red Lobster/Hacienda hotel. I'll let you all know how things are in the area that we cover.
If any of you are there and see a couple of pale-white,50's,Mutt & Jeff type characters(Steve & Ron) feel free to say hi.Perhaps we can pound down a few beers while checking out the chicas.
If you have anything specific you'd like me to check out, within the small area, post it here and if it ain't a big hassle I'll do what I can.

Seems that SF has changed a bit since I was there last year.1st and most important. The police are out in force at night.Especially on the 2 streets on either side of the "whore motel" I have mentioned in past posts. We left one of these bars walking to the next when a police truck roared down the street, called us over and searched us.
My buddy was arrested for having a 2" pocket knife in his pocket.12 hrs later,$100US poorer (bail)
I was able to get him out of jail (with a LOT of help from Al who owns the Backstreet bar in that area).Be forewarned that if you are in this particular area there is a very good chance you will be stopped and searched. From what we were told by many people, this is an area known for small drug use and sales, and the police are being pressured to clean it up in that regard. They also go into the 4 bars in this area at night and will check/search anyone they care to.We never had any problems with the locals and the police were polite but firm;but do NOT carry anything that could even possibly be considered a weapon or drugs on you. That includes aspirin, breath mints etc.On to the good stuff. To us,the number of bar girls seemed to be down a bit but the quality was better. We never saw any b-girls outside of this area but we spent most of our time there so...
The bar across from the Miramar is still there but is now used to pitch land sales-low priced beer & margaritas but we didn't feel the sales pitches were worth it.
All in all we had a great time (except for the obvious) but to be honest,we both feel that the town is slowly but surely transforming itself into more of a family oriented tourist destination.
I'm sure that's good for the residents, and there's still some partying to be had,but at least for this old man,I'll definitely have 2nd thoughts about going back and will most likely stick to Ensenada in the future.

After reading your post, I am going to cancel my trip planned in September---but not solely as a result of it. There is an American resort community 7 miles north of San Felipe called the El Dorado Ranch, and I had seriously considered buying a lot there for retirement. Upon further reflection, though, I had realized I did not want to live among a bunch of gringos in Mexico, one, and that a sleepy town of 20,000, two, would never satisfy my appetite for the chicas.
Now you tell me they are clamping down on what little is there, and I would not be surprised if the housewives up there at El Dorado are behind the squeeze. With all the American money there, I am sure they have a lot of influence.
By Eddiecat on Monday, September 02, 2002 - 01:54 am: Edit |
D-eagle & others: I hope my last posting didn't sound too down on SF. It does have it's good points.BUT seeing as how this board is primarily concerned with chicas, nightlife, partying, etc.,I can longer recommend it as a Monger destination even for my type (older, laid back) of entertainment. We were told that the owner of El Dorado now owns the Red Lobster and is influencing the "cleansing" of the area around the hotel which was our favorite area.True or false,we have experienced the changes first hand.

The Zona-esque bar in San Felipe is called "Estrella del Mar" and sits, basically, behind the Hotel La Hacienda Red Lobster on a little Callejon...You can see their sign from the Calzada Chetumal (the major N-S drag thru town)...
I popped in there this past Monday night and they had from 5-6 ficha chicas working...A very tiny pista con tubo (dance floor with pole) sat conspicuously empty; out of curiosity, I sent my wife in there to inquire about the situation and she was offered a dancing job on the spot, as the club was apparently "short" some dancers...
Obviamente, I wouldn't drive out there for this club alone, but, hey, if you find yourself out there and are the type that is willing to try anything, then, hey...

Ha-ha...My wife is ex-Hk and keeps herself in shape by working-out, etc. so I wasn't completely surprised at the bar's response to her inquiries...
However, after speaking with her again last night, she seems to think that the bar had about 10-12 chicas working and she confirmed that they were definitely working for fichas...The manager told her as much...The ficheras had the typical tight-jeans, tight-blusa look of a fichera at Miami or Tropical here in TJ...
I was waiting outside in the alley with our baby and thus I wasn't able to pursue any further explorations...Rather intriguing, tho...
Very hot in San Felipe...It literally rises out of the middle of nowhere in the middle of a Godforsaken desert...They do have an AM/PM, tho...

Was in San Felipe last week. There is a massage parlor right next door to the Bar Miramar, the bar where all the Gringo tourists and retirees go. What's the story with this massage parlor? Anyone know?
I stopped in there to check out prices and an older American lady at the little reception desk gave me a list of prices and types of massages they offer. I took a card, but somehow behind closed doors I don't think it's as innocent as they make it out to be.

Okay, BigJohn, here it is, not a trip report, but an updtae:
Just returned from San Felipe, spent about a week there. The bar "Estrella del Mar" which Youngbrig posted about has been closed due to lack of money, according to people I spoke to.
Right behind it, over on the next street, Avenida Mar Baltico, is a somewhat crowded locals bar called "Bar El Puertito." (The Little Gateway) which is where most of the San Felipe residents seem to congregate.
Every time I go in there during the daytime, there are always just a few chicas sitting around watching TV looking very bored. None are really what you'd call "working girls," but if the opportunity provided itself, they'd be more than happy to accept a little financial contribution in exchange for sexual favors.
At night time, the El Puertito is a lot more crowded, obviously, and seemed to have a fair amount of transvestites hanging out together, drinking and playing pool. A lot of regular girls (non-TV's) in there also.
The interesting thing about the TV's there, is, nobody bothers you. They keep to themselves and tourists like myself never feel intimidated or threatened by them.
I already had a lady friend with me from Obregon, so trying to pick up a nice chica was out of the question this time around.
San Felipe is a nice little getaway. It's quiet, calm and very laid back. Imagine for a second, a little town with no movie theaters, no shopping malls or supermarkets, no freeways, no traffic congestion, virtually little or no crime. The police just seem to cruise around with nothing else to do, other than smile and wave at the tourists. This is San Felipe, and this is my home away from home.
I only wish some of the chicas in these bars looked a little better.

There is an American developer selling land and homes in San Felipe and they have more or less free weekend motor coach trips to see it. Has this driven the prices out of sight? Does anybody have recent information? I may be going in November.

Just returned from my weekend in San Felipe without getting laid.
The developer who sponsored this cheap trip kept us busy most of time touring their property, eating, and drinking margaritas. The sales technique was sustained low pressure, but not annoying and my 40 something sales lady had a hot little body that I wanted. Also found a peice of land that I wanted, but was not convinced that it was good value or likely to appreciate much in the next five years, so I did not bite.
We had Saturday night to roam San Felipe and I found two strip clubs. Each club had a couple hotties, a half dozen cows, way too many male customers and the most uncomfortable chairs you can imagine. Saw one particularly hot girl take guys behind the curtain, but each session was over within ten minutes and I did not learn what went down. I was never approached by a girl except when she came to collect a dollar during her stage show.
The weekend poontang offerings were not sufficient for the real estate driven tourism. However, I am planning to return mid-week for an ATV trip into the mountains and a scuba trip and to check out mongering when far fewer gringos and Mexicali kids are in town.

I was there this past weekend for a quick day trip to scope out some land and business opportunities, not much going on since it was during the day, everyone was sleeping off their evening hehe. we went to go have lunch before we headed back to Mexicali and ultimately to AZ, on the Malecon about half a mile to the west of Rockodile on one of those beach front outdoor eateries. we were the only two people there aside from the waitress and cook, both young girls, attractive. we ordered our food and shortly were served. since it was dead, both girls came over and sat with us chatting while we ate. Long story short, we told them we were leaving after we were done there. I wasn't paying attention to mu cuz, but the girl that was with me started playing with my crotch through my shorts. After a bit of that her hand fished out my cock and she gave me a very nice handy till I busted my nut, then went under the table and licked my clean before putting my cock away. I finished my meal and asked for the check thinkin it was gonna be a hefty one, but it was the price that was on the menu for our food, I left them a 20 for a tip and on our way we went. Never had that happen, and don't expect that to happen again, but that was a great lunch, don't remember much of what i went to do originally, but it was a nice day!!

Was just here. Found lots of choices at Iguana's.
You can do them in the stripper booth.
My buddy and I took a girl back to the hotel.
140 first hour and 40 for the bar fine
We kept her two more hrs. I knew the bar fine was 40 per hrs and paid her just 100 per hr
We picked a winner and were very happy.
Safe place.
