Small city near the southern border of Mexico. Has a Zona de Tolerancia in the colonia named "La Huacas". Around 6 bars, very old style Mexican, pretty open air. Many of the girls are sitting in chairs on the sidewalk due to the high heat and humidity.

No first hand experience but was told by a local that prices are MN$100~200 for sex. Zero whiteys, zero English spoken, dollars not accepted.

Was also told that there has never been a case of AIDS so condom usage is rare. As would be expected, pregnancy among the girls is high.

A couple strip bars advertised in the local paper. Went to one called 44 with my novia. Billed as "Estilo de Las Vegas" but you could tell these guys have never been to Las Vegas. Kind of a converted barn with a bunch of plastic tables and chairs. Full bar, no hustle, the waiters usually didn't even wait around for a tip. The dancers stripped to full nude but there was no touching and no one tipping them.

All in all, if you're passing thru or stuck there you might find something to do, but not as a destination.

I have heard that this is a common passage point for people working their way toward the US from anywhere up to Tierra del Fuego. From here one finds a coyote to Mexico and then another to TJ or Laredo.
