Had occasion to spend some time in Nogi Monday night. This is what I found on the club scene.

Admission fee to one of the three gets you a pass to get into the others without paying additional cover, since they're owned by the same people.

Back when I was still going down somewhat regularly, my preference of nights was Tuesday. Lipstick and Rio had the two for ones and the girls were usually so bored a decent deal could be struck with them and the boleteros for room prices.

I went down about a month and half ago on a Tuesday and it was dead. I avoid Lipstick completely now and Rio had a horrible selection.

All the clubs seem to be open on Tuesday, however, from Obessions to Ferni's.

Nogales in general is really dead compared to what it used to be including the dance clubs. Must be high prices, cold weather, and too many clubs.

I would have to imagine there will eventually be a consolidation of the clubs/lowering of the prices. But it may just be wishful thinking on my part. Since the overheard for running these clubs is probably not very much, even if things are dead they will probably still make money.

The only saving grace for us mongers would be their ability to attract top talent. No customers, then girls may leave and find work elsewhere. I can hope - I can only hope.

Right before the holidays is usually a really bad time in Nogales anyway though.

Yeah after a small hiatus from Nogie, I've been back a few times in the last month.

My findings:

There are a lot less people at the clubs, even on Saturday nights, only a few clubs seem to be doing what I would call "good" business.

A lot of the girls seem more agressive than in the past. Most, even the more beautiful ones, do not hold fast to their prices. ie, it is extremely easy for you to talk them down than from, let's say 6 month to a year ago. A couple of hotties who would not budge off their price can now be had for for FS as low as thirty dollars. This bargaining is usually in effect on weekdays, but even on some slow weekends.

You can usually talk or bribe the ticket sellers at LB and Placers to give you the curtain closed and ample time for the cost of one dance plus tip, instead of the advertised three.

This is all under the table stuff. Most of the club owners want to wring out as much money as possible from the clubs so you're not going to see the table dance/privado prices drop. Instead you're going to see "especials" happen more. If youre savvy (like all people on this board should be) you're going to get a good price through bargaining and bribeing the masero and haggling with the girls.

There has been some great talent at some of the clubs recently. And I have found that they are (the ticket sellers, masero's and girls) more eager to do a deal.

Last week, I got a girl from Cherries to leave while it was still open and go to a hotel with me for an hour (actually two) $70 for her, $20 for the room, no salida. She said she made all of $10 that day and only $15 the day before.. and she was a hottie. She said she though something was wrong with her as a lot of the grils were getting privados except her. She found out that a few were giving bj for free for the price of the privados and she was asking $25??.

If your a gringo you are ALWAYS going to get played or attempt to get played for the higher price. I've been going to nogie for 8 years now and I have my technique down enough to usually never pay the regular gringo prices, but as a gringo, I usually will not often get the local treatment. I'm not there enough to really work on it.

The clubs prey on the touristas and the students from the UofA. Never wear you college (even if an alumni), coat, sweater or shirt. You will be "tagged" as a student and never given a break, unless the girls know you already.

ALWAYS promise the girl you will never tell the others how much you get (or don't get). This will assure you always get the same price again. I don't know why this is, (I thinks it some chica pride or something)

I'm finding that buying a chica a drink in a dark corner will get you more action that a lap dance. eg a bbbj with a pretty drunk chica for a $3 chica beer.


I really hope it will be a long cold dark winter (heh-heh)

I don't think it's a pride thing, it's politics - dancer politics. Any gal in the place who's known to be undercutting the prices all the other girls are asking is going to be treated like shit by all, because she's bringing down the prices for everyone. That's why she may agree to $30 - and will probably tell the other girls she got $50.

Sort of the opposite of the guys on Club Hombre who get pissed when a guy pays the initial asking price, because it keeps prices higher.

I haven't ventured back on a Monday night since last year, but I have no reason to believe things have changed since then. Sunday and Monday are probably the worst two nights of the week to go to Nogales, as most likely only the TD's bars will be open.

If you can avoid going Sun or Mon,, do so. On the other hand if I find myself in Nogie on a those days, I usually try out some other places. How is Tecolote doing, no comments for a while on that place. Is Titanic still open, another place that hasn't had a comment in years (or so it seems).

You might stick your head into Sensux (massage parlor next to LB and Cherries)and check ot the talent. There are a few bars that cater to the part-timers that sometimes are good on Sun. Check the board for past comments. I haven't been to Nogie in more than a few weeks, but with things as they are (slow) it's always good to do some exploring on your own and look for some good deals. If someone offers you a lady and a room for $150-200 for an hour, laugh and walk away. There are better deals to be had, you just got to feret them out.

I bang girls in Potros Bar. I have not checked out Cubano Bar yet.

I think my next visit to Nogie, I'd like to skip the strip-clubs altogether and just hit up the other bars. Not only Potros and Cubano, bit some of the others by the tracks and also some of the other "ladies bars" and disco's by Obregon st. and environs.

In fact, I's like to get with a few of the other mongers and make an afternoon/eve out of it. I think more exploration of Nogie is far overdue.

We need a more adventerous spirit. I remember before all the strip-clubs opened, at it was pretty much Cherry's, Fernis and Lipsticks. There were a lot of girls working the clubs in the area, Cheap too. I remember getting a 19 y.o. blond spinner type at that old sports bar next to the Cubano and getting a cheap room for $11. Her price for about 3 hours of playful sex was about $25 and I generously tipped her another $10.

When all the other clubs opened up, I along with others on this board, got lazy. Initially you could get FS for $25 and the privado's were $8-10 and laps were $5 at most of the clubs. As others opened up and competition increased the rates when up instead of down, due to the influx of a lot more gringos and students who spent more in the strip-clubs instead of the seedy bars. All the attractive (and even the not so attractive) ones went where the money was, which were the newer american-style strip-clubs.

But as the prices went up I just kept goiug to the strip-clubs and got caught up with the inflated prices.

I now vow to explore the other clubs in Nogie and bypass the strip-clubs for now.
