It is expensive, but the $2-300 is for all night (or at least a few hours). Otherwise you can usually score them for $100/hr or so. The high price is really just the convenience factor - if you want to get them at e.g. 10 PM on a Saturday, it's gonna cost you. If you don't mind waiting until they get off at 3 AM, you can often score $100/hr with no barfine.
