How many of you tuff guys have seen the bus advertisements or flyers for Club Iggy's.
What you see is a couple of hot chikas dancing with the backdrop of a nice high end club that would remind you of a Los Angeles or New York ritzy club that you see on the TV. They advertise salsa dancing and all this other crap. If you haven't seen the advertisement you now get the idea.
She says Lets go to Club Iggy's I get all happy and tell her I heard about that club before. Well we go across the street into a place that would remind you of one of those little fried chicken restaurants and this was Club Iggys!!!!!!
It was about half the size of La Tropa and made LT look like the Ritz Carlton.
I was so shocked to say the least. She knew the bartender and he asked what I wanted and I told him Darryl Strawberry Margaritas which were 2 for 1 and he said I make good ones for you. I was thinking damm it sucks to be the other people as I guess they are getting bad margaritas?
But he was right these were good margaritas a lot better than senor Froggies.
This place has a dance floor that makes the side dancer floor in AB look like a continent. It can hold maybe 6 to 10 people if they weigh about 80 pounds each. The booths are solid wood and I learned the hard way as I go crashing down into the booth to sit and my perfume vial in my backpocket exploded as if I had a magnifying glass pointed at a bug in the middle of July.
The music here is great they played a lot of disco from the 70's in which I am a big fan and played a lot of hip hop. During the time we were there a couple girls basically did a dance lesbian show and that was the highlight of my time. No tipp was kneaded
Again I was just laughing to myself about this club and the way they promoted it.
Some pluses about this club. It wasn't too busy about 7 to 10 people in the whole club on a Saturday night. the drinks were great and cheaper than Senor Frogs. Music wasn't too loud. It didn't take a map and street guide to find the bathroom. the waiters were great and didn't come by every 3 seconds to try and take your picture.
They do have a few barkers outside this club that will give the girls stickers and overall this is a cool place to hang without being hassled and have a drink while contemplating your next move.
