Just got back from GDL and had no time for mongering except that I did stop by a strip bar (I can't remember the name but I will see the credit card bill soon enough) off Gigante bl, about 4 blocks from Plaza de Mariachi.

Man did I get clipped big time.

Started a tab for beer and the deal was that the girl would go in the back for 50US plus a "bucket" of 6 small beers for another 50. Well, time went by and my friend and I had three girls at the table, all drinking like there is no tomorrow having a great time with all the tits and ass we could slap and suck and of course the waiters saw the chance to make some serious bucks and they did. (About $500.00 at the end of the night, starting about 10:30 and finishing about 4:30AM.)

Needless to say that there were several buckets of beer consumed and stupid me did not have the discipline to stop that shit.

My partner and I decided to get laid and he did well, a blond chica named Alicia Osorio, probably late '20s, little titties but a great attitude and gave my partner a great time.

Mine was a mixed bag. Started out with a beautiful chica named Carla. Very sexy and nice but at the end would not fuck. (Said I dance, I drink but I don't do sex.") I'd love to fuck them and I'll be back in GDL in several weeks with a pocketful of cash and some good sense appealing. I'll have more time and will not be a stupid shit this time. What was I thinking?

GDL is not that bad if you know where to go. There are some low dollar places on the highway to the airport. BUT YOU MUST SPEAK SPANISH or go with a Mexican. They are Kill whitey places.

But with all the amateur talent available in GDL I have never worried too much about the strip club girls.

You might try KAOS. Back in 98-99 you counld gret a nice all nighter for 150-200 I doubt its gone up much since then.

OK, the name of the clip joint is BAR EL GALEON. I don't now the address but it is on a side street close to Gigante BL. It's a nice enough place, but man when they get you in there it's like a fucking feeding frenzy. They are all over you. Every once in a while you need to pull back to see if it's a girl or a waiter sitting on your lap!

Ayway, I stopped payment on the credit card ($500.11) so I'll keep posting on how THAT goes. My bud in Guadalajara is also staying clear of the place because when this one bounces back they will be pissed for sure.

Personally, I think you should have called foul the first time they asked you to pay $50 for 6 beers ($8.33/beer - in Mexico no less?). And you definitely should have stopped the others from being ordered. Sounds like you were so enamored with the gals, you didn't care at the time that you were being clipped. And now you want to weasel out of paying. Dunno how that's going to pan out, because presumably they have a credit slip with your signature on it? And for you to deny the charge, you'll most likely need to provide the card company with an affidavit that states you didn't authorize the charge. Lying on that affidavit is a criminal offense - and the card company will doubtless have a copy of the charge slip.

That's probably an understatement. You should also be sure to keep out of trouble if you venture back that way. They'll probably report it to the police, and I believe failing to pay a debt like this is a criminal offense in Mexico.

I'm not suggesting that it was right the way they overcharged you and "suckered" you into running up extra charges. But stiffing them completely isn't exactly taking the moral high ground either.

Phoenixguy, you raise excellent issues. I'm not as interested in "stiffing" them as I am in "clipping" them, just like they did me. I come across like a deadbeat but in reality I should pay a reasonable sum.

These guys didn't have to clip me like that but they were playing the same game they always do, it's up to us mongerers to be on our toes. I will be back in GDL soon and I dont want no trouble. Even if I just get 'em stirred up a bit, might change their tactics. I also understand it might make it tougher for the next gringo who shows up with a credit card so I understand I really do need to be careful.

It WAS my card and I DID sign the slip. (Man, all those zeros!) I do have a responsibilty here and they will not be "out of pocket."

Interesting stuff. Based on my whining and my story, I'd be interested in what the members think would be fair and reasonable, or should I just say fuck it and pay the $500.11?

I'll keep posting my progress or lack thereof but I would appreciate feedback.

CJ, I have to agree with Phoenixguy. I have heard that stripclub type operations in this part of Mexico are quite expensive and it is your choice to patronize them or not. You weren't charged what others aren't being charged. It was your responsibility to know what things cost and many individuals were entertained for many hours - it is going to add up.

Btw, I don't think you said what the customer beers cost. The pony buckets you bought for the chicas are only about a dollar more per bottle than they charge at Adelita, Las Chavelas and Bar Tropical in Tijuana, and less than you pay for ficha drinks at "high class" TJ stripclubs like Lord Black - so not too far out of line.

Finally, the costs for taking the chicas in the back are completely in line with the way stripclubs operate in Mexico...as opposed to hooker bars that is, at least in the border towns I've played in. Of course this doesn't include the deals Porker and Regio are getting in Monterrey, but what you paid isn't out of line for on-premises stripclub sex in TJ and Nogales during prime hours. Sex with stripclub workers as opposed to hooker bar workers such as you find at AB, is best accomplished when she's off shift and you can take her to a real hotel room - without the extras of bar fines (if you take her out on-shift), buckets, privado charges (or space rental) and condom charges that are typically extorted by stripclubs.

So you can say it is expensive and a clip joint, but it doesn't read as if you were defrauded in any way. Fraud on their part is your only legal basis to avoid the charges. Greedy pricing is irrelevant to your legal position. Pay up - forget about it - live and learn.

I was pissed at the club because the girl did the wrong thing. The actions of the club seems to be consistent with the actions of the girl. I almost sensed a set up. The waiter brought the girl and if she was not going to deliver the goodies (knowing what was expected) then how is that not fraud? Or do you think the girl was acting on her own?

See my dilema? I think I was set up by these people so my reaction was to strike back where it hurts. I am cooling on the idea of stopping the charge, those with much more experience than I can look at it without the rage. But I just need it to make sense. I don't mind paying to play but I want to PLAY.

Your amigo got good service from his chica so it is hard to blame the club...just the YMMV thing. Also, did you discuss a period of time that you were buying for your money? Sounds like she gave you good service but was just limiting it to a Nogales type closet-fuck for the length of an extended "privado"...again a typical practice in Mexico strip clubs.

The sad outcome is that even if the chica defrauded you as opposed to the club, you have no recourse because that is an illegal contract. On-premises prostitution is technically illegal in Mexico even if it is "tolerated" in some locales, so it is doubtful that a judge will give a damn about any sex for money agreement you made...no more so than if a hooker ripped you off in the USA...unless it was in a licensed Nevada brothel.

The bill was a lot more than you expected, so it's not hard to understand you were a bit perturbed, especially when you had to walk out without busting a nut (but that's hardly the club's fault - your mileage *will* vary in this hobby).

You guys are right. The club was doing what the club does, I was doing what I do, the girls were doing what they do, it was my card, my choice. I don't believe the girl was acting for the club, I did order the beer, I went in there owing nothing and ended up falling prey to the game. As an experienced mongerer I should have known better and cut my losses before they were incurred.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I recently hit GDL on a major "road trip" from Tucson. I just had to check the place out for myself.

I drove into this big-ass city in the middle of the afternoon. I found Avenida Mexico and managed to find a nice inexpensive hotel only a couple of blocks from the the avenida. The name of the hotel was Windsor. It fit the name because it was almost like a castle with a nice big wooden door and rooms on different levels. To reach the parking I had to drive under the castle to a lot in the back! Kind-of different! The price was only $300 pesos/night.

After I took a shower I came down to the lobby to ask the young men at the desk about the local "entertainment" available. The conversation was cumbersome as they spoke absolutely no English and I speak only limited Spanish. Eventually, one friendly young man, by the name of Hugo, exhitedly pulled a stack of cards from his wallet with photos of models and numbers which I could call. Hugo insisted the available chicas were very hot. I told him that I prefered to see the chica before hand. He told me that wouldn't matter because if didn't like the one they sent I could send her back. I told him that I didn't want to do it that way.
I spent some time looking in the local yellow pages. In Hermosillo the massage parlor places advertise in the yellow pages so I was hoping to find the same level of sophistication in this city of over 16 million. There were ads for call-girl services but no addresses I could drive to. I tried calling a couple, but they told me the same deal Hugo told me: I would have to check the girl out when she arrived at my door. I don't like to do it that way because I don't want to reject anyone in that manner -- even a hooker!

I then asked them about table dance places and Hugo's buddy Ricardo responded with "Kaos". I immediately remembered the name from this website so I asked him for directions. I think it took me about an hour to find Kaos after fighting a lot of traffic and some of the worst roads I have driven on in Mexico.

Kaos turned out to be the most expensive club I have ever been to in Mexico. The cover charge was $40 pesos. Some dude in a suit walked me to a table and then had the guts to straight-out suggest a tip (he spoke very good English). I told him: "YEAH, I'LL GIVE YOU A TIP! HOW ABOUT THE TIP OF MY BOOT UP YOUR ASS?" He just said "Take it easy, Sir!" and walked away.
The beer they brought me cost $60 pesos!
I sat there and drank my beer quietly. I never saw any chicas that I considered any better looking than any typical TD club anywhere else in Mexico. None of the women in the club approached me with a friendly smile. I didn't see anyone else in the club that even remotely resembled a gringo. So I concluded that Guadalajara must have a lot of rich Mexicans that patronise clubs like Kaos. I decided to leave after one beer and cut my loses. I never got around to asking what a table dance or privado cost. I figured they were out of my price range!

I drove around down some streets nearby and found another club on the outskirts called Juniors. Junior's prices were about the same.
One positive note was that the chicas were ultra friendly and a good-looking tall one met me at the door with a big hug and a smile and stuck a nipple in my mouth. At Junior's the $40 pesos cover charge included a short "sexy dance". This was at least a small improvement over Kaos.
One of the chicas sat and talked with me for awhile. I asked her how much a privado cost there and she quoted me $900 pesos
I asked her if that included sexo and she said no, that sexo cost more and had to be negotiated with the chica! I think Hermosillo has spoiled me!

Well, I decided to call it a night after those two clubs. I went back to Hotel Windsor where my two young friends were still working. They were eager to hear my report and I was sorry to dispoint them with my sad story. They were very friendly and offered me one of their cervezas and a cigarette as a condolence. They still felt I should have tried one of the call girls.

That was my night in GDL. I decided to head on down the road back to Tepic, Nayarit the next morning.

In summary, I have to agree with the above statement from Explorer 8939 -- RULE OF LIFE: DO NOT MONGER IN GDL!

Just returned from my sojourne to Monterrey and Guadalajara. It will take a day or so to get my post together.

I just need to asssemble my notes and I'll post. I might get a chance to do it today. Let me tell you now that I left my heart in Guadalajara. I mean it this time, no foolin'. I sit here one heartbroken hombre. Maybe it's time to hang up my (what?). I love to fuck these chicas but I just can't keep my heart intact. I will never forget this trip to Guadalajara. I fell in love big time like a fool. At least this time I did not get clipped but in the end I did overspend (on volume) because I had too much sex and very little sleep.
