Hotel Monte Carlo is located on the corner of Calle. B. Suarez and and Avenida Sonora. It`s a somewhat old hotel which overlooks the park in the center square.

Although it may be considered to be somewhat safe by most standards, I found it very easy to open my hotel room door by slipping a credit card through the lock and unlatching the door from the outside.

I did this to see how easy it was to break in without any evidence of forcible entry. Obviously it was extremely easy. There is a night clerk who sits in the lobby all night and watches TV, which can account for something I guess.

The price is 225 pesos per night, includes cable TV. Rooms are clean, but has an aged appearance.
