LA BOTANA
This club is in a beautiful location. It is on Avenida Del Mar directly accross from Playa Norte. It is also just South of the main hotel zone called Zona Dorado. Anyone staying at any of the big, over-priced hotels in Zona Dorado could probably even walk to this club.
An interesting characteristic about the building that I noted was that the floor is definately tilted so that the rear of the club, where the bar is located, is elevated so that it is higher than the end of the building where you enter.
Another words, the whole fucking place is not on level ground! Made me feel like I was all ready drunk or in a carnival fun house!
Prices are fairly high at La Botana. Cover charge is $40 pesos. Cerveza is $20 pesos. Table dance is $100 pesos.
Privado is $200 pesos (I assume for 3 songs).
I paid the cover and sat down and drank one beer slowly. A couple of the dancers were sitting and talking in Spanish with some Mexican dudes the entire time I was there. I watched to see if the waiters were hitting those guys up for chica drinks and never saw it happen. My guess is those chicas were just regular friends with those guys and they were not customers, just visiting with their friends. They were all laughing quite loudly and having a great time. Wish I could have said the same. Except for the waiter, no other club personel ever even spoke to me.
There was a chica dancing on stage but she was quite skinny and flat chested and therefore not my type. In fact I didn't see any flesh that interested me at La Botana. As far I am conserned the whole fucking place can just slide into the Pacific Ocean. And the way it is tilted it just might do that some day!
